In front of the front desk counter there are long oak tables, like the ones in the Great Hall, that span the length of the library. However, these are surrounded by bookcases laden with texts. Some students begin sitting down on the bench and taking out their homework ready to get started on their work. Others obtain large reference texts before settling down in their spots. Others have formed small study groups and begin conversing in a soft whisper about their newest assignment.

Ponessa held her breath momentarily as the slytherin girl walked around behind her. She glanced back over her shoulder and then back to the book "Edgar Allan Poe." She said. "He's my favorite poet. I know them all." She barely concentrated on the words:

Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning- little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blest with seeing bird above his chamber door-
Bird or beast upon the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as "Nevermore."

Ryan, who had just taken a copy of Hogwarts: A History off the shelf and settled down to read it, looked up.
'You like Edgar Allen Poe? I doubted anyone read that anymore. He's one of my favourites,' she said brightly to the Ravenclaw girl [Ponessa] who had just made the comment about the poet.

Ponessa jumped at the voice of the Hufflepuff girl. "I love it." She smiled and looked back to the parchment.

Ryan grinned and opened up Hogwarts: A History, and continued to read it. Still, her chatty side was aching to break through. She tried to hold it in, but couldn't.
'I'm Ryan Carter, who are you?' she blurted out, beaming.

Ponessa looked over at her. "....Ponessa, like the poisonus plant." She smiled and looked back to her book. "I've not seen you around, you spend alot of time in the common room?"

'No...I've barely been in there. I've been stuck in the hospital wing in my very first few days, because of one thing or another. First I just tripped and really hurt my ankle, then I collapsed because of my ankle, then I was coughing up blood and basically unable to stay conscious. But I'm okay now, 'cept for the taste of blood in my mouth. Still, I can stand it - strong stomach, y'know. Still as clumsy as ever, but oh well,' she grinned. 'Plus I'm in Hufflepuff, so you wouldn't have seen me. Plus I chat far too much, so it's probably a good thing!'.

Ponessa's smile widened and looked up at her. "It's just that I'm....very, very observant and...well, I just hadn't seen you." Ponessa lightly shut the book without marking her place and turned to her. "Clumsy, eh?" She giggled just a bit before straightening up.

'Oh, yeah!' Ryan laughed. She sat down on a chair next to Ponessa and leaned back - before promptly falling backwards off it. She had been meaning to show Ponessa what she meant, but she had hit her head. She lay on the floor without moving for a few seconds, clutching her head.

Ponessa jumped at her sitting down and the clatter of the chair. She jumped uo, "Are you alright?" She extended her arm and hoped that she, like her, had an unusually hard head.

Ryan was unable to reply. SHe grimaced in pain, trying not to let tears fall. She drew a hand away from the back of her head; it was covered in blood.
'Help..' she murmured.

Ponessa saw her own accident all over again. She clasped her hand, despite the blood, and pulled her up. "You'll be alright, i'm sure. I smacked my head against the wall a week ago, so I suppose I can relate."

Ryan accepted Ponessa's help, and winced as she raised her wand to the back of her head. She was good at Healing Spells - but that didn't make it hurt any less when they impacted with the problem area. Still, despite from what was now a splitting headache, she felt alright. She blinked, closed her eyes in a pained expression and changed her hair back to normal. She suddenly realised she was not alone. She smiled at Ponessa.
'Pretend you saw nothing, kay?' she asked. She didn't want word of her metamorphosing to get out.

Chris frowned.
"Well yeah, that's right. I shouldn't be waiting for things to happen on their own, but sis, come on, face the fact - I don't even know whether the girl has the slightest interest in me!"
He twiddled his quill in his hand, and then spoke in an undertone.
"Come to think of it, I think that she positively detests me - from the way she acted. Maybe she's against Ravenclaws or something?"

Ponessa gave a small wink. "If's anyone can keep a secret, it's me." She smiled and pulled a piece of chocolate out of her pocket. "Would you care for some?"

Ryan grinned.
'No thanks...if I eat anything now, I won't be able to keep it down. I'm never really hungry. I was in here trying to do some research on Metamorphmaguses, y'know, like me...my Dad's told me some stuff about them, but my Mum was the one who knew all about them. They reckon she's dead now,' she said, rather mistily. She took a book off the shelves. 'Dad says she was fantastic....she wasn't a metamorphmagus, but she had studied them....she was ecstatic when I was born one'.

Ponessa's mouth fell open a moment or two. She found it a bit hard to belive how someone could fit so many words in one breath.

Ryan laughed at Ponessa's expression, before placing her right hand on her stomach and grimacing. She felt as though she were about to be sick.

Ponessa reached into her pocket, glanced around quickly, and handed her a bottle filled with a purple-ish colored potion. "Here." she whispered.

"yes, difficult one. But you have to approach first. Dont worry about the result Chris. I'm pretty sure that she'll not hestate to move with you" she patted on his hands in a convincing way.
"I dont think so. If you need any help, ask me" she finished, still looking at the confusing brother.

Ponessa uttered a small gasp and pulled her lightly back into a chair. She withdrew a small box from within her pocket, in which was stored oddly shaped vials. She began searching franticly through them.

Ryan groaned. She had no idea where she was or what she was doing there.
'Where am I?' she murmured, hoping someone would hear. Her head span and her stomach was killing her.

"Hmm...you're right. You men are from Mars so that you cant understand us who are from Venus. Yep you can approach him" she said but at the Name of Adam she seemed lost her words. She didn't see him in recent time.
