In front of the front desk counter there are long oak tables, like the ones in the Great Hall, that span the length of the library. However, these are surrounded by bookcases laden with texts. Some students begin sitting down on the bench and taking out their homework ready to get started on their work. Others obtain large reference texts before settling down in their spots. Others have formed small study groups and begin conversing in a soft whisper about their newest assignment.

Sarah turned red. "I wasn't thinking like that,"Sarah said, looking at her hands. "So does that mean you are scheming something now?"Sarah chuckled feeling a bit relaxed but was still confused."I am glad to hear that, its a big thing that you are opening up to me when you stay so closed down, I hadn't seen it coming I admit," Sarah shook her head, tilting so her elbow was on the table, she looked at him and felt a sudden jolt in her stomach, she quickly looked away.

Antwone, trying to get through his final potions assignment, was being nagged by a few other students, a Slytherin boy and Ravenclaw girl of his year, talking in the library.

"Oi! Excuse me," Antwone said to them both. "But this is a library and you lot should either keep your voice down or have your conversation some place else."

He turned back to his potions homework, trying to figure out what the properties of the essence of dittany were.

Kiara entered the library with her heart beating too quickly. Her OWLs would be in just a matter of weeks and she still hadn't studied a thing! How she had become a Ravenclaw, she did not know and quite frankly she didn't care about it either. All she wanted to do at the moment was pick the books she needed and dig her head on them.

As she reached one of the tables by the window, she glanced around the library, half hoping Eric would pop up. After all, he had promised her that they would study together and question each other. Ah well, at least this way I won't get distracted, she told herself while she opened the first book on her pile. 'Oh great. Potions' She muttered to herself with a sigh.

Gavin hummed under his breath and he maneuvered his way through the semi-crowded hallways. Which is a surprise because it seemed like he was in la-la-land, which that far-off look on his face. He didn't have a clue to where he was going and really didn't care. He still didn't really know his way around and he was just trying to get used to the place. Which is, in his opinion, hard to do.. with all the moving staircases and moving portraits. Geez.

He stopped when he saw the library and frowned. Great. He worked his way through people to get to a quiet old place? Ah, whatever. As long as it was a place to rest.

He went inside, looking around to see what was in there. Obviously books. He was about to leave when he spied Kia sitting alone at a table, opening up a book. He raised an eyebrow and smirked, sauntering over to Kia and sliding into a chair at her table. He didn't say anything, only stared at the book she was reading. "Having fun?" He asked, a bit sarcastically, flicking his gaze up to meet her eyes.

But then again, even a mouse walking would be considered noisy in an atmosphere of pure silence. 'Gavin!' She said, a hand on her chest as her eyes layed on her friend. 'Do you want to kill me?' She asked him, wondering if he did remember how she easily got scared or how clumsy she could be. But then again, this was Gavin.

She couldn't stop herself from blinking and letting her arms fall softly on her lap as Gavin told her he didn't know what the 5th year examinations were. 'How can you come to Hogwarts and not know about OWLs?' She inquired him, unable to believe in him. 'Well, OWLs are the 5th year students' examinations and they're probably the second most important ones. If you fail them then you probably won't have much chances of getting a decent job' She told him, feeling a light shiver running through her body.

I'll.. follow my father," he said confidently. He didn't know if Kia knew it, but the ministry arrested his father, believing that he was having more than an obsession with the dark arts.

She unconsciously took a hand to her ribs which were still aching after being hit by a bunch of muggles. If only she had went to the Hospital Wing after what had happened, she wouldn't have to hide a moan each time someone touched almost any part of her body.

When she said something about his father, his face hardened. "Of course not," Gavin said defensively. "You know what I meant, Kia. It's not like I said I wanted to be him.." Gavin trailed off, frowning hard. "...What do you know, anyway?" He quickly mumbled. "He had a point - he wants me to marry a pureblood.. theres barely purebloods left. But still.." He looked up at her. "I still talked to you, didn't I?"

Kiara shrugged. 'I doubt some of them even think, actually. Besides, they're kids, so they wanted to imitate those who actually know how to flick a wand correctly even if they were terrified' She answered him, sure that this was true for she too had been like that and it seemed that her youngest cousins were exactly the same. She raised an eyebrow as Gavin spoke of his own experience in the Hall. 'Yes but... well, let's just say I can't be quiet and I was in the mood to fight' She admitted, her mind already picturing the moment she had punched Ambrose on Hogsmeade.

The moment Kia saw how his facial expression changed she regretted her own words. 'I'm sorry' She sighed. 'I guess I never got over it. But how could I have? You were my best friend' She shot him a sweet smile, hoping he would forgive her. After all, she didn't want to waste time discussing useless things.

'Anyway, how did you convince your parents to come to Hogwarts? I thought they didn't like the school that much' She crossed her fingers behind her back after being sure Gavin wouldn't be able to see it, as if that would make him forgive her for her previous reaction.

Gavin glanced over at Kia when she mentioned that she couldn't keep quiet. "You're right about that," Gavin agreed, then cocked his head. "You wanted to fight? Yeah, right. What's the occasion?"

He flicked his gaze away when she apologized to him. "Sorry never cuts it," he muttered, a scowl on his face. He stayed that way until he looked back at her, the scowl gone and a small smile replacing it. "I guess it'll work for you, though... Just this once," he warned.

"Convince them?" Gavin repeated, then shook his head. "My mother sent me here.. after they took my father. She didn't want me to bother her, being around her all day... which, I might add, I certainly wasn't a mama boy, so I was not hanging around her all day," Gavin interrupted himself, just to add that little bit. "But," he shrugged. "She did it willingly."

Kiara raised an eyebrow and looked up at him again as she heard him snort. 'Er... yeah' Though that wasn't exactly what she meant she didn't feel like contradicting him at the moment. As he agreed with her, she let out a silent and tiny chuckle, for Gavin's next words made her face become rather stone-like. 'I met this guy in Hogsmeade who... well, he wasn't exactly nice to me and... let's just say that I punched me and he threatened me' She sighed and shrugged. 'As if he'd scare me anyway'

Kia blinked at his sentence. He wasn't going to forgive her? 'Bu-' She started, worry filling her green eyes. She didn't want to lose him again, especially due to such a stupid and old topic. Thankfully, though, a beam appeared on her lips again as he finally forgave her. 'Good then. I'll be sure to be cautious next time' She replied.

As he started to answer her question, Kiara fell silent letting him say everything he had to. At the end of his little speech, a question lingered on the air. 'They took your father?' She repeated. 'Who took him?'

Kiara's smile vanished immediatly at the tone Gavin used. She shouldn't have spoken about that kid to him. She should have remembered of how protective he could be towards her, even if she had never clearly understood the precise reason why. 'Gav, don't worry. I've got it covered. He looked like some second or third year so there's no need to worry' She told him apprehensively.

As her friend grew closer to her, she raised her eyebrows, wondering why he was acting like that. Something really horrible must have happened to his father. And so, she leaned a bit closer to him so that she could actually understand what he wanted to say. The second he finished talking, she raised an eyebrow for she wasn't so sure that the Ministry was wrong even if she had no idea what the accusations were. 'What did they accuse him of?' She asked him, trying her best not to let her imagination run wild.

Rapunzel wandered over to the study tables, lugging her heavy messenger bag behind her, and collapsed into one of the squishy chairs. She struggled to pull out her copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, then opened it to the section on hinkypunks. She then dug around for a piece of parchment and her favorite eagle-owl quill and was ready to work, finally.

Cameron walked down to the library He needed to do some studying. He walked over to the study tables. He noticed the girl he had helped in the great hal he sat down beside her. "Hey you feeling alright?" he asked and smiled at her.

Smiling he grabbed his books and opened it. "Im a fourth year Slytherin. Sorry about leaving you the other day but you wouldnt understand." he admitted looking down at his books and turning the pages.
