"It seems everyone thinks I already have.." mumbled Clifford. He remembered Tara in The Three Broomsticks, and what she had told him on the matter. "It's just, I've never asked anyone before, I don't really know how to go about it.. what if I do something wrong, and I scare her off." He continued biting his lip nervously, "She might just want to take thing abit slower, or on the other hand, she might be have been expecting me to ask her already." He sighed.

"You know, Clifford, I really think she would be extremely happy and excited if you were to ask her that. And I really don't think there's any way you can ask her in the wrong way, because your asking her is bound to come from the heart and it's going to come out perfect! Just go with your natural feelings." Excelsior didn't know where all this was coming from, but he knew it was the right advice. He didn't understand a lot about his intuition, but he was happy and honoured to be able to use it to help his friend.

"Thanks alot Excelsior. I don't know why.. but that's been playing on my mind alot the past couple of days, I thnk you're right though, it'll just come naturally when the time is ready." He wondered when he would know he was ready and gave a small chuckle. "You're quite good at this you know.. this whole giving advice thing." He grinned at his friend, Clifford had done his best to try and help him, and Excelsior had just returned the favour. "We should do this more often." He laughed.

"Yeah, you know, we really should," Excelsior said, smiling and chuckling softly to himself, as well. It was great to be able to help his friend out, and no he always had someone he could count on.

Sarah sighed as she burried her face into the book she was reading for past hour. "Errgggg!"Sarah exclaimed as she slammed the book shut. She felt like an idiot to leave Excelsior at the lake the day before yesterday. If she only got the chance to explain why she left but her luck she had'nt seen Excelsior, Clifford or Eva.

She left because she had seen her owl Marie come back with the letter. Ofcourse she could have read it later but the letter had a red ribbon on it and it meant that there was some bad news. Sarah groaned. "Why me??"

Excelsior was surprised to see Sarah in the library yet again. His was sure the astonishment must have registered of his face as he said, "Fancy seeing you here, and a second time at that!"

Sarah felt as tiny jolt as she heard the voice. "Oh.. He-hey Excelsior"Sarah said as she starighten up. "Well this place does have loads to learn,"Sarah said as she smiled. So God does hear me...

"Yeah, it sure does," Excelsior said, smiling. He couldn't believe his good fortune to find Sarah again, when she left abruptly the day before he thought she was gone for good. But how could he tell her these things?

"Listen about the other day.. I ..I did'nt mean to leave you like that but there was some problem...,"Sarah stopped as she regained her voice again. "I am sorry.. I. I really am.."Sarah said.

"Oh hey, it's cool, don't even worry about it," Excelsior assured her, genuinely touched by her concern. "I'm just really glad to see you again, that's all. Oh hey, I thought I would let you know that Clifford and Evangeline had their discussion and they're together as a couple for sure. I'm so happy for them! I think our leaving them alone really helped them."

With a start, Excelsior realized that it had happened again, Sarah was gone before he could say another word. Sadly, he turned and walked away. He wished he could find the words to somehow reach out to the girl. He was able to help other people, yet it seemed he was completely unable to help himself.

Sarah ran back into the library. "Listne Excelsior, I am sorry for leaving yougain, I wish I could explain the way things are at the moment," Sarah sighed.Its all confusing,I hope you'll understand,"Sarah told him.Sarah looked at him again. "I have to go..."Sarah said as she turned.

"Okay, I understand," Excelsior said, glad Sarah had come back, if only for a moment. "But listen, if you ever need anyone to talk to you can count on me. I'm a really good listener. Take it easy, Sarah, and I hope to see you again soon."

Jezz was tired, and her friends were all meeting in the Common Room. Still she trudged into the Library to do her homework. She yawned as she pulled out her parchment and books. Watching Antwone and Sho had been fun, but it had taken up a lot of her time. She started to write out her essays, attempting to keep her writing legible as she rushed through them.

Jolie trudged into the library. She knew she'd spent far too much time cooped in the common room but honestly - Jolie didn't really feel like doing anything else. It was a tireless effort of getting up, attending class, eating meals and studying.

But then again who could blame her.

Jolie plopped down at the study table in the library. She smiled inwardly to herself at the sight of the familiar tall, lean bookshelves stacked with silky books from A - Z.

Sarah slammed the book shut."Done .. Yesh.. Ohh Finally!"Sarah exclaimed but shut her mouth when she found herself being glared by students.Now she could write the letter smoothly. She had to ask Mum about Dave. Even if he was a muggle, Sarah couldn't resist telling him.

"Hey Sarah, how's it going? Haven't seen you around lately," Excelsior called out cheerfully. "Funny how I keep finding you in the library, for someone who isn't that crazy about studying. You would never know!"

Sarah looked up at the voice and chuckled. "Maybe I secretly, love to study.. but dont want you guys to know,"Sarah replied, smiling. "Come sit with me, I really can use some company,"Sarah said sighing. "I haven't seen you around either.."

"Yeah, I know, it's been crazy," Excelsior said. "There was a while there where I couldn't find any of you, Evangeline, Clifford or you, Sarah, and now you guys are around again. Which is good, I hope it stays that way." He smiled at her and took a seat.

Sarah chuckled. "We were all gone to our secret missions, We actually are werewolves,"Sarah joked. "You should be careful,"Sarah laughed she was in a better mood, and her lame jokes were saying it all."So Mr.goody goody pants what are you up to?"Sarah asked and turned to look at him. "You dont mind I call you that right?"

Excelsior snorted. "Sarah, how little you know me," he smirked. "You just proved it right there. You truly have no idea, and I guess that just proves how truly good I am." He winked. "I like people to see the front, but there's a lot going on on the inside that no one will ever know. No one except me, unless I want people to know. To find out exactly what I mean, you'll have to stick arond and see."

Excelsior smirked again. "Actually, it's really good that you think that, that means I'm doing a really good job."

Sarah became a bit red but quickly regained her composure. "Well Obviously I dont know you.. You have to tell me"Sarah said smiling teasingly. "You barely show yourself, You are always studying so I assumed you must be a goody goody pants,"Sarah smirked. But Now I am starting to doubt it,"She said laughing.

"Stick around for sure, there is nothing more interesting than knowing a baddie,"She said nodding.

"Sarah, there are things about me that nobody knows, nobody except me. I keep my true intentions hidden from everyone. Why am I interested in doing all this studying and stuff? It's simply because I want to help Slytherin House be #1, half the people here seem too lazy to do anything and it's kind of an embarrassment, really. I know if I don't do it nobody else is going to do it, then all the glory falls on me. Hey, I've got secrets you have no idea of, the darkest kind imaginable. I don't think you want to know. Not that I would ever hurt you or anything, I want you to know that. You are perfectly safe with me. I know who my enemies are, and you're not one of them. But let's just say I'm not the type anyone would want to cross and leave it at that. Most of what people see with me is a mask. We all have our masks, then there's the truth within, the truth that hardly anyone really knows except ourselves. But I wonder, can you handle my truth?" Excelsior waited for Sarah's answer, hoping she would say yes. She had much to learn about him, and he sensed he had a lot to learn about her, as well.

Excelsior didn't like to show his true colours with people, but somehow with Sarah he sensed she had a need to know the truth about him, somehow she was actually attracted to that side.

Impulsively, Excelsior leaned closer and said, "Listen, there's this muggle singer called Billy Joel and he made this song a long time ago called The Stranger. The words to this song are really something, just thought I would share!"

Antwone sat down with his potions books and started to study for the final exam in two days time along with doing his homework for said class.

Reading the lyrics, Sarah thought that Excelsior really was going to share something big with her. She looked directly at him for a moment and something in his eyes made her feel warm. She shook her head and laughed at herself for thinking so ridiculously.

“I think I can.. You are trusting me.. I really think I can..” Sarah finally spoke, more clearly than she thought she would.

"Of course you can, don't worry, I'm not a crazy murderer or anything like that," Excelsior assured Sarah. "You are perfectly safe with me, remember that. I just wanted you to know that I'm not necessarily what I seem. My family has always been quite skilled at appearing civil to the world and scheming on the inside. Our motto has always been never let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. But with you, it's different, I can be honest with you and I like that."
