In a dark corner of the library there are a few students congregated in the shadows of the bookcases. Their voices are soft and they conduct themselves in a polite manner.They are simply those who enjoy the darkness. A few are doing homework scribbling away on parchment, a few sitting in the large arm chairs reading a book by the light of their wands. The rest are sitting in a small circle conversing very quietly about their day and lives... | |

Erin entered the library and moved straight towards a dark corner filled with squashy, but straight-backed, armchairs. She was clutching a thick book in her left hand. Erin was walking slowly; if she sped up too much, the big book tended to beat painfully against her thin leg.
Erin plopped into the chair that was the farthest out from the actual corner. She supposed this would give her a better view of the entire library. She wanted to be able to see people coming and going.
Propping the book up on the chair's arm, Erin turned to the index. She was reading a book she'd purchased in Diagon Alley before term started, entitled A History of Magical Publications: Books, Newspapers, and Magazines. Erin had already read through the section on books, which consumed over half of the large hardback. It was full of lists and short descriptions of books, books, and more books. Though some of it was interesting, Erin had found most of it slightly tedious. Reading thousands of titles ranging from Magical Party Attire to Goblin Rebellions of the 16th Century wasn't nearly as exciting as it sounded... If it even sounded exciting at all.
Now, Erin was intending to read another category, Magazines. The index helpfully informed her that her section of choice started on page 983. Flipping a few heavy sections of pages, Erin finally found the page she was looking for. After quickly scanning the library once more, Erin began reading silently about Aparecium Monthly.

Dominic walked into the library after having seen Erin walk in. He wanted to surprise her, for he hadn't seen her in a while, so he snuck in after her and hid amongst the bookshelves. She was carrying a heavy looking book with her, and she sat down in the corner and began to read. Dominic took this moment to sneak around the library, so that she wouldn't see him, and he carefully positioned himself so that he was behind her. Then, he leaned over her shoulder to see the book she was reading, and he smiled. "Boo!" he whispered in her ear. | |

Erin had just finished the first paragraph when a voice from behind her made her nearly jump out of her chair. Of course, she knew the voice instantly; it was Domi. Erin smiled, despite the fact that her heart was beating a little more rapidly than usual.
"Hey," Erin said quietly, turning around in her chair.. She was smiling softly. It'd been a while since Erin had seen Dominic. After whipping out her wand and quickly flicking it, a bookmark appeared and settled itself between the pages. Erin stuck her wand in her pocket again and closed the book. She then looked back up at Dom.

Erin noticed Dominic laughing at her. She poked him in the ribs, grinning playfully. "Hey," she said again. "You woulda been scared, too." Erin wasn't sure if this was true.

"Sure you wouldn't," Erin said, teasing him still. She realized that Dominic seemed to be unable to look away from her eyes; a light pink tinge rose upon Erin's face.
"Nothing's wrong," she said, her smile fading, but still present. Erin hoped she hadn't sounded like there was anything wrong, because, really, she was fine.

Erin could tell, from his sigh and the look on his face, that Domi didn't believe her. Really though, she was okay. There wasn't anything wrong. So why he kept pressing her was strange to Erin. She was fine, rather good, actually.
Erin held onto her book with her free hand as Dominic pulled her up. Letting him lead the way, they left the library. ooc: I'll post first.  At the lake. | |

Dan settled himself into one of the ddark corners and began reading a book in russian , he knew a fair bit of the language due to his father been russian allthough he hadnt seen him since he was 8 he was always taught to read and speak russian from a young age. | |

Eliza wandered into the Library corner, this was her first time in the Library in five years on Hogwarts. She skirted over to the shelves and scanned through the book names.Divination: Are you a seer? No. Flying: A guide to the broom. Nah. Werewolves in West Virginia. No way. She finally picked out one book about Defense Against the Dark Arts and placed it upon a neraby table. She then searched for a book about Quidditch. Once found, she put it with teh other book. Then, feeling slightly odd and not wanting anyone to know, she picked out a book about Thestrals and lay it ontop of teh other two books. Once sure that no one had seen her pick a book about Thestrals to read, she moved over to a nice dimly-light corner and began to scan through each book one at a time. Starting with the Quidditch and then the Thestrals. She loved Thestrals! They were as misunderstood as she was. She'd save the D.A.D.A book till Bakura comes here. Now. On to the Thestrals.

Eliza was already deep in her book about Thestrals when Cora came in. Her nose in the large leather-covered book, she only noticed Cora when she spoke. "Okay?" she kept her wand pointed at Cora and flipped through the pages of the D.A.D.A book until she reached the chapter about Mind Slavery. "Luna. Is. Controlling. Bakura." she said slowly, moving the book around to show Cora. The page she had open had a picture of a young boy with clouded-over blue eyes, and when you continued to look, in the boys eyes you could see the reflection of another person within the boy's orbs. She looked at Cora and lowered her wand. "Bakura is under mind slavery. And if Luna finds out I've told you, I will most definitely be dead."

Cora frowned as Eliza pointed her wand at her. She eye it with intense dislike (the wand, not her cousin) and nodded. "I won't tell." She listened carefully, her jaw finally dropping once her cousin had finished.
"Mind slavery?" She whispered. "Oh...oh dear." The colour drained from her rosy cheeks.

Eliza nodded slowly "Yes. Luna showed herself to me, talking to me thorugh Bakura." she sighed sadly "Thats why I had been asking Bakura all those questions. I know what Luna's like. I'm afraid she might try to kill Bakura soon. She's tried to kill me and I don't want anyone else to feel the fear that you get when Luna shouts the first part of the killing curse whiel having her wand at your throat." she frowned slightly and snaped the book close. "I was wondering about coming back as a ghost if I do die. But they say you need a reason to come back." she frowned and unconciously picked back up the book about Thestrals. "The only reason I'd have is Elijah." she snapped out of her sad mode and looked at Cora "What will we do about this Luna/Bakura situation?" she questioned, using the one word that always had the Irish ring to it. Situation. She never really used that word becuase she hated her accent and tried best to hide it. Oh-well.
