Note that first-years are allowed to play on the team.
You have until Sunday, July 8th to sign up for the tryouts. Late applications will not be accepted and tryouts will run from July 9th to July 15th. Your captain, Evan Cassels, will tell you exactly how and when they will be held once the sign-up period is over. See you on the pitch! Announcements For six years now, the Hufflepuff Herald has become your one-stop source for all things Hufflepuff and we don't want to stop there. The staff is looking for a few good Huffies to help carry out the tradition of making this newsletter come alive! If you're interested in contributing (by writing articles, drawing fanart/comics, authoring stories), please drop the editor an owl here. Remember, all submissions to the newsletter must be both Hufflepuff and SSRPG School related. The Editor's Corner The Hufflepuff Herald first began six terms ago under a student by the name of Erica Arbon. She had gotten the idea from another house newsletter, the Gryffindor Gazette, and wanted a way to drum up house spirit and cooperation. The format was originally designed to include all sorts of information relating to classes, homework and Quidditch. The continuing efforts of the Hufflepuff House have allowed the Herald to grow and become a part of every Hufflepuff's necessities.
The newsletter has changed hands multiple times. Erica Arbon was succeeded by Nabiya, and again by Nicolai Vannacutt, Lee Andrez, Raymond Luxury-Yacht and Evy Abagnale. The current co-editors are Evan Cassels, a seventh-year, and Caitlin, a fifth-year.

The Sorting Hat was left to itself in Headmaster Dumbledore's office. It was thinking of a new song, and a new verse for Hufflepuff. Like each and every other year, it was left revising and inventing ballads for the Sorting Ceremony of students; describing each house and its qualities. It was stuck on Hufflepuff, thinking to itself the basic qualities of a Hufflepuff. Finally it decided on this: Good Hufflepuff, she took the rest
And taught them all she knew.
Just like the previous years' songs, it always stuck to the three words: Loyalty, inclusion and patience. (Read the rest HERE.) |
