Lainey's class ducked their heads down into the pensieve - falling, falling, and falling until they all found themselves in the Hogwarts Library. A small boy, around the age of eleven or twelve was perusing through a section just ahead of them...

Amelia listened intently to the Professor, but then became troubled over one thing because she had in fact read 'Hogwarts, A history'. She remembered reading something about how Lainey was a ghost, but was brought back to life with a spell or potion.
Timidly raising her hand, Amelia asked the unthinkable, "Um Professor Lainey. I remember reading something about how you were killed by him, and if that's the case then would the memory be your own?" She hoped that she didn't sound stupid with this question, as her cheeks became slightly flushed.

Something had clearly caught young Thomas' eye. He snapped the book shut and got to his feet, hurrying up to the librarian's desk. "Excuse me," he said, placing the book on the desk and opening it up to the relevant page. "Could you tell me where to find this book? It's for a History of Magic essay."

When the fell and fell and fell, he made sure that he had a good grip on Lu's hand. When they made it, Leo listened to the whole talk and not said a word. He was still upset with how Lainey treated him. It wasn't his fault that git attacked him.

Lu never fell through a memory before, her mind was still swaying ever since her feet landed on the ground. As much as it was peculiar, this memory was rather interesting. But the smell of that Thomas kid was quite familiar, very familiar that made her clutch to Leo's hand and hide half of her body behind him while her head peared to follow the kid around in his memory while listening to Professor Lainey mentor.
She frowned at Leo when he pulled her out, though leaned closer to him. Last time she was around that Thomas kid, it wasn't a pretty site.

Lainey laughed. "No love. I wasn't even born at this point in history. This is not my own memory, no. You know a bit of recent history though? I like that." The librarian refused, of course, when Thomas had no note. "No note, means no access, Thomas! That book is much too mature for a boy of your age, at any rate."
Lainey waved to the class. "I think that is about all we're going to get. Thomas didn't get his book at this time, so there is little left to see. Let's all return to the classoom." Lainey waved her wand, and the memory began to fade. Returning the classroom was a lot like falling.... up.
