Ryder walked with Cassandra towards Hogsmeade. His hands were in his pockets and his wand was pushed up against his side. He looked at her as they walked together. He took a deep breath a little insulted by her remark about how he had played in the game against Hufflepuff.

"Well.." He said looking forward again. "I am from London." He took his hands out of his pockets and rubbed them on the side of his jeans. "I didn't go to Hogwart's the past few years. I went to Durmstrang. I just transfered this year. My father had wanted me to go there and my mother had me switch this year." He looked down.

"I suppose it was that she wanted me to be farther away from my brother. I have a twin brother. Robert. He is still at Durmstrang. We don't get along at all." said Ryder straight forward. "And as for me doing bad in the quidditch match..." He pushed his hair out of his eyes. "I haven't played in a while so I am a bit rusty. Plus I play Beater. My brother always played Keeper." He said simply stating that he would have done a better job if he was playing his normal position.

"What about you." He said looking at her for a moment. "Where are you from and all of that. Where is your boyfriend? Will he be mad that you are going with me for a drink?" He said taking his wand out and tapping it on his jeans.

Cassandra kept walking listening to Ryder. Knowing that Ryder had a brother he didn't get along with made her feel more comfortable with him. She raised her eyebrow as he told her it wasn't his usual position. "Well, there is always next time..." she said reassuringly. "Then you'll have no excuse."

She watched him rubbing his hands on the side of his jeans and she looked down. "Don't feel bad about being sent to a different school because of your brother... it happens to a lot of us. I have a step brother, he was sent to Durmstrang. Shane Prince. Had you met him? He's a pratt."

Ryder looked at Cassandra, "No I am not sure I met your step-brother. But got in a lot of trouble while I was there. Do you get a long with your brother?" Ryder said looking straight ahead. "I swear I am a way better beater."

"STEP" she said loudly "brother..." She eyed him. "Step-Brother. And no, we don't get along, as much as he tries to pretend we do." Did she trust Ryder enough to tell him why she and Shane couldn't be together unsupervised? Would he think any less of her if he knew about the prophesy. She sighed and thought it best to wait. "The three-broomsticks is just around the bend..." she pointed out.

"Wow it doesn't even feel like we have been walking that long at all." He turned to look at her but kept walking. "Sorry. Step-brother I meant that. So why exactly don't you two get along?" He asked. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want though."

Cassandra smirked, at him. "Maybe after we have a couple of butterbeers... and a firewhiskey..." She whispered the last part... She really didn't need to think of Shane at the moment...

Dani walked along the paths

Jai walked through the paths with jack chasing a butterfly. She smiled and looked at the letter she wanted to send to her father, she could always use a school owl but she didn't trust they would be good enough.

Cameron came down to the Paths just to think but then he saw Jai there and smiled. "Hey what you doing here?" he said smiling.

"Nothing much I'm just thinking. I didn't get to write to my dad, but now that I have the letter I dont have an owl." she shrugged "What are you doing here?"

Jai smiled at him "Thanks I wasn't sure I could ask you." she shrugged "What are you thinking about you have seemed a little distant lately."

Cameron smiled. "Um just some stuff." he said thinking about his arm. "But nothing too big." he said smiling.

"Cameron honestly, do you expect me to believe that?" she nudged him "I have been meaning to ask, why did you have all those sores and blisters and puss?" she asked making a face.

Cameron scrunched up his face in search for a lie but couldnt find one. "Ummm... well you dont really wanna know." he said turning from her so she wouldnt see into his eyes.

Jai looked at him and turned his face "I thought I told you if it was important I want to know. Cameron just tell me."

Cameron looked back to her. "No I mean you dont wanna know. You dont wanna know!" he said over and over. She didnt want to know She couldnt.

Jai rolled her eyes "Is someone hurting you?" she asked worried "Cameron is that whats wrong "You have to tell me, I want to know."

Cameron sighed. "Noones hurting me ok? Nothing like that. Listen I cant tell you so Please! please stop asking ok?" he said he knew his group wouldnt be happy if they knew he was ratting them out. Plus she hated dark magic..

Jai bit her lip "Okay I'll s-stop but if you want to talk, whatever I'm doing shut me up or stop me and let me know. I'm worried about you." she said looking at him "So hey do you want to get some candy? or maybe some butterbeer?" she asked with a smile on her face.

Cameron shook his head and sat down. He put his ams on his legs and his head in his arms. He wanted to tell her what was up but he couldnt. Or could he? But they would find out. They havent hurt him yet but he didnt want to go threw this alone.

Jai stopped and knelt before him "Are you okay?" she asked putting her hands on his arms softly. She moved his face to hers and held it there smiling and stroking his cheek with her thumb "Whats wrong?"

Camerons eyes were filled with emotions that he coudlnt explain. HE looked into her eyes. "I cant.." he whispered but pulled up his sleeve showing the top part of his left arm . Besides the muscle that was there was a huge cut. It wasnt bleeding but it was deep and bits of meat were hangoign out of it. He didnt want to go to the hospital wing but he really didnt need to. It would heal over time.

Jai looked at his arm "Cameron, you are badly hurt." she blinked back tears "I dont ever want to force you into telling me. But I'm your friend maybe not your best friend, but I'm still your friend right?"

Cameron sighed and got up pulling his sleeve back down. "I'm fine it was just a spell that backfired." Maybe if he didnt tell everything it would be ok. "But yes your my friend and a good one." he said hugging her. He wanted to get on with life. It wasnt fair he had to bring her down to is level
