Agie walked into the classroom and noticed that it was quiet empty. She looked up and the table and read aloud the sign " "Please do not eat the fruit yet Hmm yet" She wondered what was meant by that. Agie also noticed a strange device and she was also curious as to what it was. "Hey Professor, I hope all is well" She said as she took a seat.

Katie walked into the classroom and saw she was one of the first people there. she walked by the desk and saw that there was a sign "please dont eat the friut yet." katie wondered what that was about. katie found a seat and sat down she waited for further instructions.

Ali strolled into the classroom and looked around. She wasn't really interested in Herbology, but she wanted to ear some more housepoints. She saw the sign, then looked at the fruit, then smiled. She turned away from the fruit and sat down and waited for the other students to arrive.

Ariana slouched into class not rally watching where she was going, until she almost bumped into the table with fruit on it. Noticing the sign she blinked back whatever it was she was thinking, shrugged and moved to sit next to Agie, smiling tiredly at her as she did so.

"Hello professor." she said in a not-normal voice. She had got around 4 hours sleep the previous night. If this didn't stop soon she'd falll asleep in class she thought as she made herself alert and looked at the curious blinking gadget on the professors table.

Cassandra limped into the classroom. She loved Herbology... not because of flowers or plants... infact she needed to take a potion to handle her allergic rections, but because of the silky voice and fine features of the professor who taught the class... Armand Erikson.

She made her way, still limping, to the front of the class trying not to blush as she looked at him and nodded in acknowledgement. She tried to hide the fact that she was still limping from a little twinge of pain. The professor had told her to keep off of any strenuous activity, but she had done none of that.

She looked at the plants and fruit, and then glanced up at the sign... alright... A beep issued from the device on the table and she jumped in her seat. Clutching at her heart and a little angry for the jolt she exclaimed to no one in particular, "What is THAT contraption!"

Antwone walked into the classroom with his copy of Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them, which he thought may have come in handy for the lesson. He looked around and saw five other students already in the classroom including the Gryfinndor seeker who almost did Ravenclaw in and the Slytherin girl who always gave him trouble. Looks like I am came rather early.

After surveying the room he walked over to the empty stretch of long table in his herbology mess-robes, which had not been put to much mess as of yet. Once he took a spot, generally away from the rest of the students, he automatically grimaced at Cassandra's comment. Then he looked over to what she had been talking about and noticed and oddly-distorted machine with lights dancing around its outside. What is this that? What's more, it seemed that Professor Erikson kept glancing at it every so often, or, every time it went off. Interesting . . .

Chloe walked into the classroom and looked around. there were a few people here already, but not many. after a few minutes of standing there, she decided to go ahead and get a good seat.

Carhill walks into the classroom and finds a seat in the middle. He doesn't care if he sits next to someone, since he wont talk to them anyways. He leaves everything in his bag, since in his experiences most classes need only a wand. Homework requires the books.

Mary walked into the class, looking excited.She hadn't been at the last class because she was at the Hospital.She put her bag on a chair and took out her text.She saw that only a few students had come and waited for the rest.

Excelsior had missed his first class because of the trip to Romania that he had to make with his family. He was very interested to see what this lesson would be llke. He couldn't figure out what the contraption was, but took a seat and waited to learn more.

Clifford walked into the greenhouse and nodded at the Professor, Herbology wasn't his best subject but he wanted to try and make an effort at least. He spotted Excelsior and took a seat beside him, pullling out a spare piece of parchment and quill, ready to take notes. "Hey," He said quietly.

Excelsior turned around, happy and surprised to see Clifford there. "Hey, Clifford," he greeted his friend then whispered softly, "Listen, there was a meeting this morning with Professors Forrester and Branxton in the common room. Evangeline or I can fill you in later, but it was kind of important. Anyway, we'll fill you in."

Jasmine entered the classroom her head bowed slightly so her long dark hair covered the bruise along the side of her face. She would have gone to the school nurse but, that would have raised a few questions she would rather not have answered.

She eyed the baskets of fruit interestedly and when the device next to it beeped she,as did others jumped slightly. She noticed the professor look at it nervously and her hazel eyes narrowed slightly in suspicion.

Finding a seat in the front of the class, she continued to stare unblinkingly at Professor Erikson in a somewhat unsettling manner. The knowledge of what she had learned recently about both their pasts dominating her thoughts. Her face was expressionless but she was unable to control the battling emotions showing in her eyes. Anyone could see the hurt, confusion, anger, love, and hope that was all there.

Cora stepped into the room and took a seat beside Cliff. She smiled at him and nodded at Excelsior. Getting out her quill and parchment, she waved madly at Professor Erikson and waited.

Erikson glanced at his watch once, somewhat nervously, then looked up to check about the classroom. Satisfied that things were rather settled he decided to get started. "I do think we would do well to start now." He gestured to the device next to him, which almost seemed to chirp in response. "For the time being, don't mind thing. It's something experimental I agreed to keep an eye on. It is not harmful, however."

"Now, for the benefit of everyone else, what were some existing hybrids we discussed at our last class?"

Jen pulled out one of her books and started flipping through it. She had written some down somewhere but just couldn't remeber some of them. SHe sighed and pulled out another. Giving up, Jen pulled out some parchment and a quill. She then started to think about some and wrote them down... just in case.

Clifford raised an eyebrow, he had slept in late and was unable to attend the meeting, he nodded at Excelsior and lowered his voice. "Yeah, you'll have to tell me about it later," He had a feeling he knew what the meeting had been about anyway. He smiled back at Cora before turning to face Professor Erikson once more, waiting for the class to begin.

"Existing hybrids we discussed in the last class?" He muttered under his breath, searching through his messy notes, he wasn't very well organised and was having trouble finding what he needed.

"I will," Excelsior promised. He nodded to Cora and turned his attention back to what Professor Erikson was saying, or at least doing his best to follow it. He found Herbology so confusing!

Jasmine said in a clipped tone, "Ibelieve we discussed Peppermint as one sir."

"We talked about A Hybrid Tea Rose, which is also called 'Cajun Sunrise'." Cora said, raising her hand.

Ariana had missed the last class due to a problem she had been having, so she perked up, forgetting about her tiredness and paid full attention, writing things down as she did so. She couldn't afford to miss anymore time.

A hybrid tea rose called Cajun Sunrise, Excelsior thought that sounded really pretty. He began to take notes, sorry he had missed the first class because of the stupid thing in Romania.

Antwone looked around to all the other students raising their hands to answer the professor's questions. He sat in the middle of the classroom and couldn't think of any of the hybrids they went over. He was quite indifferent to the study of Herbology.

"Sorry, I hadn't corrected that before. There are many varieties of the Hybrid Tea Rose. Cajun Sunrise is but one of them." He nodded to them. "And that is correct, the Hybrid Tea Roses and Peppermint plants were both discussed last lesson. A point for each of you. Can anyone tell me what two plants make up the peppermint plant?"
