Jacqueline climbed up the stairs Finally seeing the Gargoyle towering over her head. She passed a couple of students and sank in a leather armchair and waited....

*The silence of the office corridor is disrupted when a few giggles resound from the nearby curtains. As a gargoyle asks "Password?" a rattle rolls out of the curtains... a small, noisy baby rattle. Upon further inspection, the area behind the curtains is empty, but the baby rattle remains right at the front door entrance to the headmistresses office.*

Shadow, having gotten away from his owner, pounced down the hallway. The ball of black and red fur bounded down the hallway in hot pursuit by Louis. He and his buddy were having a game of cat-tag and had lost track of where they were. Eep. Dead end,Shadow thought and he slid to a halt in front of of gargoyle. He pawed the statue cutely as it said something. Shadow looked around and saw a toy of some sort on the floor. The kitten looked at Louis and slinked his way to the toy. The kitten sniffed it slightly and pawed it with apprehension.

Louis was purring as he chased Shadow down the hallways in pursuit. This place was fun after all. Once Shadow came to a halt, Louis couldn't ram the breaks so quick. He had slower reflexes than his mate and before knowing he was spinning around and bounced into Shadow rolling them both around with something else that made a disturbing noise. Shaking his head and body as he came to a stop, Louis perked his head up to find his friend with a small "Meow". But something else next to him caught his attention, maybe its food? Taking a few steps closer, Louis bent down to lick it then took a bite, concluding it was not food. He purred a bit more then kicked it down the hallways and chased it, its a fun toy he and his new friend can play with.

Shadow watched Louis attempt to eat the object. He meowed sadly that it wasn't foood, but it made an awesome sound! Just made him want to do the catsalsa...what was a catsalsa anyways? The kitten tilted his head to the side as Louis rolled away with the toy. Shadow followed in hot pursuit, joining in with the fun of the noisemaker. The pair played a funny version of catsoccer.

"Meeoooow" Louis purred as he chased the noisemaker down the corridor hitting it against walls unintentionally but it was fun to kick it towards Shadow and vice versa. Shaking his tail in excitement and enthusiasm without paying attention to where they were heading to find themselves on one of the main floor corridors.

Christian strolled into the entrance area followed by the hufflepuff. He knew they probably weren't going to get anywhere with this, but the kid had insisted on seeing her. The hallway was empty,there was nothing in sight except for the gargoyle. He spotted the seats and sat down. Christian motioned to the seat beside him.

"May as well sit down, it could be a little bit of a wait."

Ray looked at the boy, he wanted him to sit, they needed to wait till someone comes, if this was the rule then he will, he sat down next to the boy.
"Look I'm sorry for being rude upstairs, Im a bit not myself this couple of days but i know how the headmistress feel losing her two girls, I lost my parents and my whole family so I decided to help, my name by the way is Ryan James Hufflepuff"

Christian nodded and then he shrugged.

"It's ok. Quite understandable. I still have parents but we never see each other anymore. I've in a rich family, and obviously business moves us around. But i wanted to move to England so that going to Hogwarts would be easier. So we split, I moved to London, they moved to Russia." He shrugged again. "It's no problem really...I learned to deal with losing people...Not that I'm saying that I'm not worried for Madame Rae!" He added hastily.

He smiled and stuck out his hand, "I'm Christian...Christian Miles. Second year Ravenclaw."

"Nice to meet you Christian Miles, I know what you mean when you say that you come from a rich family, my family is rich they used to move all around the world, basicly trying to hide from this dark wizard that is after them, he caught them when I was two years old and I was with my grandparents that day and since then I was raised by my grandparents, but they died two weeks ago and now im living with my aunt, a muggle, and I got there will last week, they gave me all Helga Hufflepuff's stuff, this is why I'm searching for those babies, I hate hearing about missing children or family relatives it makes me think about my family". Ray explaimed as he thought of his grandparents and his family.

Christian sighed.
"Sad."He said unsurely. Christian hoped to change the subject to something happier. Speaking of happy, were was his kitten? That fuzzball's disappeared again. I bet his off somewhere playing with Louis. Better not be getting into trouble.

"So you're a first year right? How do you like being here so far?"

"Yes, but I have been trained before on the hand of my grandparents, he said, they made me study magic when I was 5 year old, they always took care of my education and if they were still alive, they would have continued, so what are we waiting for?

Christian nodded while Ryan was talking. He smiled at Ryan's last question.
"We my friend, are waiting for Madame Rae. We can't just burst into her office, not to mention we don't even have the password. So we wait." His pink eyes swept the hallway again, "And I highly doubt telling her that you're related to Hufflepuff will help the matter." He added before Ryan could thrown it in. "Everyone else has to wait, so shall we. Well, you cause you wanted to talk to her. I just have nothing else better to do."

"Yes you must be right, I always thought that just because Im related to Helga Hufflepuff, Hogwarts will be like my true home where I can enter everywhere without no problemes, but I think I just have to wait, like everyone else. Are you going to enter with me when professor Rae let us in?" Ray asked.

Ryan looked around at the room miserably, at least her hair had stopped going through the neon rainbow colours. Every few minutes or so, however, it would glow turquoise or some other fluorescent colour. Ryan saw a boy she knew from the common room, and sat down near him.
'You're Ray, aren't you?' she asked.

"Yes, he replied, and you are? he asked, he had seen this girl in the common room and she was crying and seemed frostrated, himself that day was sad.

Christian shrugged.
"Sure I'll go with you. I'm not sure I could say anything. I'd try to throw something in. Can't make any guarantees." He added sniggering.
He silenced when another hufflepuff started talking to Ray.

"Oh, thank you very muck, that will help two minds are better than one. I hate to hear someone say that Hogwarts is going to close because of an accident, I can't go back and live with my muggle aunt, that hate every thing about wizards". Ray said to both of Christain and Ryan (now that he remembered her name) as he searched for his clock, he just wanted to know what time is it but he couldn't find his golden clock maybe he lefted in the bedroom, yes that is surely it. He pulled a cat from his pocket and he taped it with his wand as he spoke to it, then he placed it back as the cat started to miaow and smiled.

Ryder looked at the cat in interest. Her hair turned a shade of purple. She groaned and tried to turn it back to it's natural brown, but to no avail.
'I noticed you were a metamorphmagus too,' she said softly. 'At least, I thought you were. Do you have as much trouble controlling it as I do?'.

"Oh, I'm not a metamorphmagus but my dad was one, It's only something that runs in the family, every time that we use very powerful and complexe magic or we get angry our hair start to change and it glows if you keep on performing magic more and more, but when I was a kid I used to have problemes with it till mum showed me a way to fix it, all you need to do is to separate your emotions from your metamorph stages and all will be fine, even you can start shifting it just by thinking of something, its very cool my father used to transform himself to stuff you can't even image."

Ryan smiled.
'But.....didn't he ever find any prejudice here? And mine isn't just when I do magic, it's...it's when I feel anything. See, I'm confused by the way I feel right now - and it's rainbow coloured. I want to leave here, that's why I've come to see the headmistress,' she said, frowning.

"You want to leave Hogwarts, you must be kiding me, but that is not even close to reasonable, look I can help you with something, it's a Charm a very powerful Charm, it will help you get through your metamorph stages, I can perfom it very well and it never failed me neither my father, so?

Ryan shook her head.
'No chance, sorry,' she said. 'I'm not taking any risks....no offence to you, but I wouldn't let anybody try. Thanks anyway. And yours sounds different to mine - see, it's cycling through the colours. That's because it's not me that's confused, it's my hair. I've been working on finding a colour that's more normal....indifference turns it dark blonde....'. Ryan concentrated on feeling...well, nothing....and her hair turned a darkish blonde colour. 'I like this one. So I'll just not feel anything. But if I concentrate hard, I can decide on any style. Watch...'. Ryan screwed her face up.....and it turned long and bright pink...a shade or three off the blonde-with-pink-streaks she had been aiming for. But she didn't mind.

"Oh okey then, I wasn't going to do anything to your ability, I was going just to make you understand how it works, but if you find it risky then it's you're call, I all ready made a girl here get a grip on her powers, but as you wish, but don't think of leaving Hogwarts? It's good here and you will get used to your powers just wait and see" Ray said as he pulled the cat again from his pocket gave it a little tape from his wand then spoke to it, "so do you think that the headmistress is going to be late?" he asked as he placed the cat back in his pocket.

Ryan nodded.
'But it's not her fault. I've heard that her kids are missing...it's terrible,' Ryan frowned, her hair turning a dull grey colour.
