Headmistress Rae-Branxton opened the door to her classroom and flicked her wand to open the windows. A gentle breeze brought in sounds from the grounds, but it was worth the slight distraction. Rae moved to sit on the front of her desk, waiting for her class to arrive.

Jaimine's wand flew from her hand and she shifted a bit "Wow, powerful stuff." she retreived her wand and walked back to her spot "Densaugeo!" she had just remembered that one, she didnt think Anthony would look goos with large teeth but it was the first think that came to her mind.

"Why are you sorry?" she asked. The girl seemed to be quite upset about something, but her attention seemed to drift to Taika Ai's hair and her next statement was one of excitement.

Taika Ai surveyed the girl's piece of parchement. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to be looking at. She shrugged and returned her attention back to the front.

Taika Ai was now partner-less while the others practised dueling.

Amelia smiled when Audrey said her reflexes weren't that great. "Perfect, because mine are excellent! I had two older brothers growing up, they had to be. And yes, I guess we should do the bowing thing out of respect." She bowed to her partner and then when she was barely standing straight, Amelia exclaimed, "Expelliarmus!"

Audrey bowed and turned, but before she had even reached her stance, she heard her partner shout the disarming spell. She turned quickly and only made about half of the shield before the spell penetrated her half-made shield and knocked her wand right out of her hand and pushed her to the floor. Shocked by the girl's speed, she picked up her wand, brushed herself off, and stood up.

"Wow!" she exclaimed, "maybe I should just practice the spells a bit first..."

She stood and did just that, first practicing the wand motion and then adding the spell. It took her about 5 tries before she actually achieved a solid shield. Then, she turned back to Amelia and stood in her stance.

"Okay," she said firmly, "I'm ready!" She held her wand and let her free hand hang on the other side of her body.

Daphne walked back to her position. "OK, on the count of three. One...Two...Three...Expelliarmus!" Daphne said as she did the appropriate wand motion.

Taika Ai watched everyone else in the room practice as she stood alone, leaning against the wall. She listened to the different spells being shouted and watched the sort of effects those spells had on people, taking mental notes.

She let out a sigh.

"Well, that was good. You're making progress, and I think I'm losing focus. So do you mind if we sit down and take a rest, perhaps do some of the reading now?" She smiled at the girl.

Taika Ai sat down on the floor of the classrom, leaning against the wall. Not knowing anyone, staying partnerless... it was all rather boring. She flicked her wand back and forth, watching people practise.

She muttered a quick 'Expelliarmus' to see if it would take affect and she jumped in surprise to see someone's wand fly across the room in a graceful arch and land on a desk on the opposite side of the room.

"Woops," she muttered. She glanced around to see whose wand it was she'd accidentally sent flying.

Emily tried to shield herself from Rapunzel's attack, "Prote-" she never finished the spell as her wand flew across the room. Laughing she went to retrieve her wand. When she returned she laughed again. "And round one goes to Rapunzel!" she decared. "Shall we have another go? Emily bowed and got into her stance, this time trying to use the offensive plan, "Expelliarmus!"
