A bit confused about the plot? Housemates talking about a mysterious something going bump in the night? Here's where you can catch up on happenings around the Castle, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade -- Out of Character of course.
That means that unless your student character heard this stuff from other students, your student character doesn't know about it.

It is extremely rare for a first year to be quidditch captain or prefect. They are usually people who have been on the quidditch team and have preformed well over an amount of years or people who have been examplary pupils over an amount of years also. | |

Rae had made her speech. Quote: Rae was late, but she was always late these days. She made her way into the Great Hall and paused to collect herself. The new robes were wrinkled from walking with Sophia, and there was a formula stain on the sleeve. And they'd never been worn before! She sighed and touched her hair to be sure the braid had held.
The students were settled and the sorting was over, which she was grateful for. The staff seemed mostly there, and she eyed them. There were a lot of men, which was unusual. They all seemed to be getting along well... perhaps too well, as she eyed the professor nearly lounging on the floor and chatting with a student. She'd have to talk to Professor Maline about decorum AGAIN, and about letting students flirt with her. Max was flirting with every available female at the table, and that annoyed her too.
Ugh, she was so irritable and it had to be lack of sleep. She paced towards the dias, head high and shoulders squared. Professor Belle looked miserable, and she put a hand on the woman's shoulder as she walked past. "Please resume your seat, Professor," she murmured to Professor Maline as she walked past. And poor Professor Tolkien got a scathing look for being in Doyle's seat.
"Attention, students," she held up her hands and waited for everyone to move to their seat. Quickly, quickly... she waved her hands to make some of them move faster. "Welcome to another term at Hogwarts. If you are new, I welcome you to your respective houses and wish you the best of luck. Earning points for your house toward the house cup is your ultimate goal, and there are many ways to do this. Of course, our real goal is to impart a few bits of knowledge during your time here, and I wish you luck in that as well."
She sighed and wanted to get back to the nursery already. Hopeless. "This is an exciting term for us, as we will be holding an Inter-House Tournament, much like the Triwizard Tournament that was promised previously. As returning students know, the other two schools are unable to join us, but that shouldn't stop your fun. There is an opportunity for everyone to try-out for a champion spot... and the information will be posted in your common rooms."
"I don't really have anything else to add, except to welcome the new professors." She turned and waved generally in their direction. "You are welcome to eat your fill this evening, and then have a long sleep in your dormitories before classes begin." She clapped her hands and the food appeared on each table. Rae fell back into her seat, feeling exhausted.

What's been going on in the Potions Master's office? I'll tell you:
- Whende had an Ashwinder about to lay eggs, and Tag and Blaylock found her in the hallways.
- they went to Dresden's office, cos he might probably want the eggs as a potions ingredient.
- As they were discussing strategies on how to subdue the eggs when they popped out, Julia Professor Pride and Chloe threw in a silly string bomb.
- At the same time, the Ashwinder decided to lay it's eggs.
- Tag, being the adorable idiot he can be sometimes, went and pushed the cauldron lid off to see the eggs and had his hair singed. Along with half of Dresden's office.
- Blaylock called upon some spell (from the HP games) and froze them eggs.

So here's what's going down:
* De Luca came into Blaylock's class to talk about her little thing with Maline and Erikson which raised the students suspicions
* Evan, Tag, and Jeremiah all want to kill Leo. All suspect something between Blaylock, De Luca, and Moretti
* De Luca tells Blaylock about the whole plot with her and Leo. Blaylock is furious with the both of them, but is attempting to rationalize the situation in her head. It is driving her crazy.
* Leo + De Luca = Family. They're cousins since De Luca's grandmother married Leo's grandfather.

Sarah (sassi) was caught by Luna (Racheya) using the cruciatus curse on a fellow student down at the lake.
They began to argue and Professor Baylock and Maline moved in but Luna fell into professor Baylock who fell into professor Maline, who fell into Leo, who pulled himself and Maline into the lake.
They were both pulled out with the help of an inflatable striped duck and both seem okay.
Sarah is currently at professor Belle's office for punishment and Luna has lost 4 points from slytherin for cheek and being nosy.
