What was once the old Defense Against the Dark Arts office lays in the middle of the corridor, right next to the classroom. A harried little house elf paced just inside the door, and she turns to put one long finger to her lips at the sight of you.
"Shhh... we is being quiet. The babies is sleeping, please." Her protruding eyes dart to the twin cribs pushed against alternate walls. The room no longer resembles an office at all, considering the stone walls are covered in a lush, bright fabric designed with prancing blue and purple unicorns. Soft music floats through the air, and the house elf makes her way through some discarded toys to settle into the heavy rocking chair.
"You can't be coming in here without permission, but you is able to stand and watch from the door, please. The babies is finally asleep." | |

Doyle raised an eyebrow at that and received a faceful of carrots for his inattention. He laughed as he grabbed the cloth to wipe the carrot out of his eyes, then dutifully concentrated on aiming the spoon into Sophia's mouth. "You know better than to take those sorts of things seriously. So, what did she say?"

"You're just being a mother," he assured her with a kiss on her forehead and then hurriedly forced another spoonful of carrots into Sophia's mouth before she could protest. It was almost as if he hadn't left and he was pleased to note that he hadn't lost his touch. "And Fee's was alright? What was it?"

Michiko smiled "alright" she had said, knowing the headmistress was right. "I'll be here if you need anything." Then there was a knock on the door. Someone named Doyle, whom she didn't recognise very much. She smiled and nodded hello at him then leaned against the wall while they discussed the readings. "sophie's reading was great" she whispered softly, wanting to think it, but the words came out of her mouth. She hoped they hadn't heard her, and didn't think she was inturrupting.

"Joy and love and success," Rae took Vivi's empty bottle and replaced it with smashed bananas. Vivi grabbed for the spoon. "We've missed you. Fee has a big crush on Professor Armand, but I think she likes how his deep voice sounds like yours." She gave him a long look that said she had missed him as well, although it resulted in bananas all over her robes.

Michiko put her hand to her mouth and laughed quietly into it. She found what headmistress Rae had said about Sophie crushing on Professor Armand quite funny. She bit her lip to make sure she didn't make too much noise, as not to disturbe the family moment. She looked at the ground and wondered if she should even be there.

Things are pretty hectic right now in the Ministry especially now that I've been promoted," he replied, offhandedly dropping the news on her as he wiped carrots from Sophie's face and hands.

"You mean the staff aren't good enough?" he laughed. Being married and becoming a father had changed him quite a bit and he wondered if that might not have been part of what held him back and why he suddenly found himself moving up. He laughed more freely and was a slightly less meticulous in his appearance, at least with his family, though that might change once it was possible to be meticulous about his appearance again, when the girls were a little older and able to control themselves with their drool and food. He just seemed more relaxed despite the hectic nature of raising twins and the fact that he had to be away from them for much of the time. He really did hope this new promotion ould allow him more freedom to come and go at will. "We'll get away as soon as they slumber," he assured her.

Rae glanced at the darkening sky and then at her watch before giving Genevieve the wet cloth bath she so desparately needed. The banana was left in her hair for now, but the rest of her face and hands were cleaned. "They start to get cranky, and then it's time to go to sleep. Soon, really."
