What was once the old Defense Against the Dark Arts office lays in the middle of the corridor, right next to the classroom. A harried little house elf paced just inside the door, and she turns to put one long finger to her lips at the sight of you.

"Shhh... we is being quiet. The babies is sleeping, please." Her protruding eyes dart to the twin cribs pushed against alternate walls. The room no longer resembles an office at all, considering the stone walls are covered in a lush, bright fabric designed with prancing blue and purple unicorns. Soft music floats through the air, and the house elf makes her way through some discarded toys to settle into the heavy rocking chair.

"You can't be coming in here without permission, but you is able to stand and watch from the door, please. The babies is finally asleep."

Michiko watched very carefuly as Ms Natasha worked with the Tarot cards. She had always been interested in this type of magic. She stroked Genevieve´s head one last time, then walked up to the professors, standing near the headmistress and kept quiet, trying to catch everything that was going on. She hoped she wasn´t intruding.

Rae smiled at the girl who had approached to watch and knelt before her youngest daughter. Sophia clapped her hands and grinned at her mother, and Rae touched one finger to the button nose before shuffling the cards. It was easy to think of Sophia when she was looking at the curls that were slightly darker than her sister's and witnessing the way she reacted to her mother. She handed the cards back to Natasha.

Smiling at the mother-daughter moment, Natasha took the cards and drew the top three and laid them out between them all. The first one was 'Four of Swords', the second was 'The Sun', and the final card was the 'King of Cups'. Natasha smiled at the cards and tickled Sophia's tummy gently, "Cassandra, looks like you've got quite the promising child here...her cards are terrific!"

Armand smiled, both at Cassandra interacting with her daughter, and at Natasha handling the infant so easily. He thought they looked rather natural together. For a moment, he considered leaving, letting them do their thing. After all, he didn't really know what to do with a baby, and wasn't quite sure what he was doing here.

"Hear that, Soph? Your cards are terrific," she blew a raspberry before considering it wasn't very Headmistress-y. "Ahem... What do they tell us?"

Michiko smiled back at headmistress Rae after hearing the results "that's wonderful" she gushed quietly to her. Her smile only got bigger as she watched the mother and daughter, there was a strong bond, between them already.

"Oh! Of course!" Natasha said, laughing softly, "I quite forgot that part." She smiled up at Armand, who was hovering in the doorway and beckoned to him to come closer.

"The four of swords suggests feelings of peace and stillness. It's about rest, contemplation and a sort of quiet preparation. The Sun represents enlightenment, greatness, vitality...We can expect quite a lot from little Sophia here." She said, smiling down at the baby again before going on, "The King of Cups represents wisdom, calm, balance, caring and tolerance. So, I think this means Sophia is going to be a great leader someday! Quite like her mother, of course..."

Having been caught, he walked over to stand by Natasha. Armand looked down at little Sophia with a wide mixture of emotions. Fear, just in being near her and at the thought of handling something so small. Adoration. Sadness. Anxiety. He wondered again just what he was doing here.

She beamed at Miss Natasha's readings, then smiled at the herbology professor who apparently had just walked in. He looked a nervous about something. "u-um excuse me professor Armand? a-are you feeling alright?" Michiko asked softly. "You just.. you look a tad nervous o-or something."

Rae smiled broadly and took Sophia back from Natasha. The little girl patted her mother's face with a little hand, but her attention was caught as she looked up and up and up at the man in the room. "She misses her daddy and is surrounded by women and elves all day," Rae offered Sophia to Armand and let go before he could do anything. "Shall I get Vivi?"

Armand looked down at Michiko and tried to offer a smile, but was sure it looked just as nervous and awkward. "I'm fine, I just never-" Suddenly there was a baby in his arms. Baby. Arms. He held the little thing out at arms length a moment, not quite sure what to do at it. And her little eyes met his. He watched her a moment, her watching him, and very slowly took her in close to him, so he held her against him as she sat on his arm.

Natasha watched Armand's reaction to Sophia and bit back a laugh. He was so comical, and yet she didn't dare laugh in case he dropped the little girl. "There's no reason to look so cornered, Armand..." she said softly, patting him on the arm before turning to the headmistress with a nod, "Of course, if she is awake...If she isn't, I see no reason to disturb her. We could just do the tarot reading by ourselves."

Armand looked down at Natasha, hoping to smile or... something. But it didn't come. And he looked back to Sophia, who seemed either intrigued or enthralled by him. He couldn't tell which. He gazed at the child, not completely there as he thought again, and wasn't even sure what he was thinking about. But there was just that hint of... she's kinda cute. And he smiled a bit at her... until she pulled his hair. Armand winced, pried the lock from her and, though he hated to do it, tucked the lock behind his ear. He'd have to spend precious time straightening the wave from the lock later, but it was better to keep it attached to his head.

"Don't worry, Armand. I'll take her from you shortly," Rae peeked at Genevieve, who gave a happy gurgle and kicked her legs. "She's been watching her mobile. She's awake." Rae plucked the girl from the crib, and Genevieve squealed in delight at all the attention. "That's my happy girl."

Hearing the baby squeal and watching her with her mother gave Natasha an odd feeling, and she just bit her lip as she shuffled with the tarot cards distractedly. "They're rather different, these two girls...but both so adorable." she said, "I wonder what's in store for Genevieve here. I'm sure it's something similar to Sophia's..."

As Armand watched Natasha he began to realize.. there may be a long talk ahead in their relationship. It's been what, three months? Four? They barely knew each other, he reminded himself. "It's quite alright, Cassandra. I mean, if you wouldn't mind... I wouldn't mind holding Sophia a little longer."

She smiled gratefully at him, but her attention was drawn back to Genevieve who was reaching for Natasha. "Careful, Vivi. Those pretty cards aren't for you." Rae crouched in front of Natasha with Genevieve wiggling away in her arms.

Natasha grinned at the little girl and tickled her under the chin, "Maybe I'll get you your own cards, dearling..." she cooed before handing the deck to Cassandra, "Care to shuffle again?"

She balanced Genevieve on her knee while she shuffled, but Vivi insisted on getting her fingers in the way. "Not for you, my girl," Rae finally handed the deck back to Natasha. "I like to send Genevieve with Doyle to work occasionally. She eats his quills and they have a grand old time. And I have one less highly active infant to deal with."

Natasha laughed as she took the cards from Cassandra, a bit bent in some corners thanks to the curious child's fingers. "It's remarkable how Genevieve is so active, and yet Sophia over there," she said, gesturing to where the other girl was still staring up at Armand quietly, "is so quiet...I think you planned it perfectly!" she chuckled as she laid out three cards, only to have the smile falter when she saw them.

The Tower, Five of Pentacles and the Three of Swords.

Armand was just starting to enjoy his time with Sophia when he looked down to see Natasha deal The Tower. He didn't really know much about tarot, but since being a student himself he had an instant dislike for the card. He didn't even see the other two cards being dealt before he realized he'd been glaring at the card. He turned his attention to Sophia but listened raptly.

She smiled standing next to him, " I understand what you mean" she whispered to him. Then she kept quiet, not wanting to disturbe the next readings. She smiled and held out her finger for Sophia to grab- which she did. Her eyes shone at the baby, seeing her stare back at her. She kept her attention on the baby, but listened to the readings as well, wondering what they mean.

Rae pulled Vivi in close and the little girl gave a squeak of outrage. "What it is? You've gone all quiet... bad news?" She didn't want bad news. This was supposed to be fun and light-hearted, not have some serious undertones. She'd have to owl poor bedraggled Doyle to come and hold all his girls again.

Natasha shook her head, but avoided looking at Cassandra or her precious baby. "N-not bad news, per say..." She averted her eyes to Armand's and saw that he was eying the cards rather uncomfortably himself.

"Well, the T-tower merely signifies an abrupt change, a-a sort of disruption in her life..." She bit her tongue nervously before pointing at the second card, "T-the five of P-pentacles represents a sort of lack. Lack in material goods and also ... health."

She almost whispered the last part, and wished that the reading would just end, or that she could chuck these cards out the window and wrap her arms around Cassandra and tell her that Divination was a stupid art anyway.

She needed to just get this over with as soon as possible, and then assure everyone in the room that nothing was set, and that their destinies were how they made them out to be. "Th-the Three of Swords, represents emotional suffering, separation and b-betrayal."

The moment she finished the reading, Natasha grabbed the cards and stuffed them into her pocket. "These c-cards are d-defective. I'm sure."
