Located next to the pitch is an unassuming building that has been rarely used over the years, except for storing the official game equipment. Over the past week, the school house elves have been busy cleaning and preparing the room when their hectic schedule allowed it. At last, it looks like a locker room fit for a professional Quidditch team.

The walls are painted a pale gold with a large Hogwarts emblem painted prominently on one wall. On the opposite side is a row of deep purple lockers with golden numbers and locks gleaming in the overhead light of the room. Inside each locker, are black practice robes, black and silver/white game day robes, and a broom servicing kit. The floor is padded in a non-slip black rubber and golden chairs covered with purple cushions are arranged before the lockers. The private showers and restroom facilities are down the hall, safe from prying eyes.

A magical board on wheels sits to one side of the room - a single tap and it comes alive with various diagrams of Quidditch moves. Near the board is a bookcase that contains the latest Quidditch rule book and strategy guides, as well as the most recent editions of Quidditch magazines. A magical cooler stocked with refreshments and a cupboard full of miscellaneous items (snacks and first aid items to extra towels for the showers). A portion of the wall near the entrance, is lined with the portaits of students who gained prominence in the world of professional Quidditch.

So come in and relax - it's one of the few student-free areas on campus!

This locker room is for the Hogwarts Staff only. No students are to post in this locker room thread.

He laughed. "You brat!" Regardless, Armand took off after her like lightening. Still though, he was much too large, and had too much bulk, no matter how wiry he was. He had to admit: she was faster and more maneuverable than he was.

"Am not!" Danni yelled back over her shoulder, her voice lost in the wind. Crouching as low as she could over her broom, she shot past the goal posts on the other side of the pitch, turned around and shot the other way, missing Armand by about three inches.

Armand saw Danni coming at him and pulled and turned, learning just how maneuverable he was. Which... apparently he could be very maneuverable. Seeing what else he could do he crouched low to his broom, taking off after her once more. And learned he could actually go faster than he thought as well. Guess you never forget how to fly.

Frost followed the others out onto the pitch and tentatively sat on the now hovering broom. He had never ridden on a broom faster than a nimbus before, and this was probably the fourth or fifth line of broom after that model! Merlin only knows what this broom's top speed was...

"No better way to find out than to test it out..." He mumbled determinedly as he firmed his grip upon the handle and squeezed tightly before giving a very hard kick off of the ground. He shot into the air like a rocket and his spiky hair was now, if at all possible, even more wild and lionly looking. He gave a an excited shout. "This is amazing!!!" He yelled before gaining a higher altitude and experimenting with some moves.

"I suppose the old saying 'its like riding a bike, you never forget' that is so commonly heard from muggles is true!" He thought to himself with a big grin as he lay flat on his broom and went into another loop-and-dive maneuver he learned in his old Quidditch days.

Danni whirled around again, "Not bad for someone who hasnt flown in twenty years." she remarked with a grin.

"All bones intact and in place?" she yelled playfully to Onyx with a huge grin on her face. Flying closer to him she said with an mock innocent grin, "How about attempting a Sloth-grip roll?" refering, of course, to the story he had told her by the lake.

Armand slowed as they approached Onyx, not wanting to get caught in the older man's loop. "I haven't felt like this in ages... I suppose I'll need to get out more often after this."

Withdrawing her wand from her robes she replied, "Alright, I'll just get ready accio all of the pieces of your ribs. How far do you think they'll go?" Giggling, she flipped over and let go of her broom, hanging upside again.

Swinging back up she said to herself, "Now what was that thing I used to do..." Slowly she brought her left leg up ontop of the broomstick, followed by her right and slowly stood up with a look of concentration on her face. Letting go with her hands, a grin spread across her face, "Hey I can still do it!" she called slowly leaning forward a bit so her broom accelerated just a bit. Unfortunetly at that moment, Onyx descided to do his ballet twists. As she started to laugh her left foot slipped and she went head over heels off her broom, just barely able to grab the end with her finger tips. She was safe for now, but there was no way she could get back up on her own.

Armand nearly fell from his broom, laughing. "Onyx, catch her before I have to. I don't need Natasha flying out here and seeing another girl in my arms!"

At first, Danni didnt mind dangling over the pitch fifty feet in the air, that was until her arm strength started to give out. "Um... can I get a bit of help?" she asked weakly as her fingers began to slip.

Jack zigged then zap on the SuperNova. He kept low to the ground until he felt comfortable with the quick handling of the broom, then he pulled up slightly on the handle and began to climb. A tiny stiff of his hips to the left sent the broom into a left turn. He loved the way the broom felt and responded. The thought to buy it crossed his mind, slow down he told himself you aren't 20 and on the Irish National team any more. He hooked his feet in the dive stur-ups and dove. His knees actually ran across the top on the grass as he put the dive flat.

Leaning back a bit to make herself more comfortable, she found herself leaning on Onyx, "Sorry." she said with a slight blush as she scotted forward a bit.

Once on the ground, broom in hand, she replied to his question, "I was doing a trick that I've known how to do since 4th year, and I was doing perfectly fine until someone descided to make me laugh." Poking him in the chest jokingly she hopped back onto her broom and flew back up into the air, "Are you coming?"

Armand pulled up a little and turned on the pitch, gaining speed as he started for the full length of the field. Soon as he was fast enough he gave a little pull, sending him into a barrel roll. He'd only gotten two loops in when he realized it was making him dizzy and flew a quick loop the other way to counteract it. He came down from the air still a little light-headed and just needed the feeling of the ground under his feet. "Definitely not a student anymore," he chuckled to himself, albeit weakly.

"Careful? Me? When have I not been careful?" she said with an innocent look. Laughing again she did a few rolls and then, suddenly realizing that they were missing something, she yelled, "Jack! Shouldnt we get the ball crate? Or ar we just practicing flying?"

Hearing Onyx's remark, she looked down with a haughty look on her face, "Waddles will of course. I can see him running across the field, little flippers outstretched trying to catch his Mommy." she said with a giggle.

Natasha finally stepped out onto the pitch, clutching one of the new brooms Max had brought for them. She eyed it uncertainly, wishing it was one of the ancient Comets...at least it would be slow. She watched Danni do a couple of flips in the sky, and her own stomach flipped a few times. "Merlin." She muttured, straddling the broom and pushing up off the ground.

She controlled the speed, holding back significantly and ended up hovering somewhere above one of the seating turrets of the bleachers. She grinned, although she'd gone pale, "Whoop! I'm doing it!" She shouted to nobody in particular.

Armand spotted Natasha and smiled. She was just out for a little flying this time. No harm done. She couldn't be that bad of a flier. He pushed off and glided up to her easily. "So, how's it feel? I swear we're all kids again out here."

Natasha was still adjusting to being up in the air when Armand flew up to her. She gripped the broomstick tighter due to nerves and a sudden fluttering in her stomach, "It feels...scary! But I like it!" she giggled like a 12 year old, only she never giggled when she was 12.

"But to fly like her, I'd need to spellotape myself to the broom." She pried one of her hands from the broom and pointed at Danni, only to grip it tight again as the broom tilted dangerously to the side, "ACK! Hands on broom at all times!" She lectured herself.

Armand blinked. "Tash... just how to you plan to be playing quidditch?" He sat up, taking his hands off the broom and sitting rather easily. "You missed it by the way. Danni was standing on her broom and Onyx distracted her. Fell off and wound up dangling. Made Onyx get her since I was sure the moment she was in my arms you'd come flying out."

Natasha grinned at him and pried her fingers loose, propping one of them on her hip, "And you would have let her fall to her death just to keep me happy?" She stared down at the ground, which was very FAR away, "Well, I know I won't be standing on any brooms, so you have nothing to worry about."

She itched to give the broom a try, to see just how fast it could go, but then again, she was also scared to do it. Knowing her, she'd end up crashing into the bleachers, or the hoops and then what?

He shrugged. "I woulda caught her if I had to. Didn't have to." He looked back at Danni playing around. "She really is fast, by the way. Seeker material for sure. I can push the broom well enough, but I'm just way too big to keep up with her. These things are pretty maneuverable, too." He did a quick spin to show her, then flew so that he was upside-down, hanging on the broom with just his legs. "These things really are excellent. I think it might give us the edge we need." He pulled himself back up and flew about so he was rightside-up once more.

Natasha's heart felt like it'd dropped down to the earth and she flew towards him, thwacking him hard on the shoulder, "None of that tomfoolery! I expect you to still be alive and in one piece at the end of the match, Armand Erikson." She lectured sternly. In her anxiety, she'd completely forgotten her own fear and had actually managed to stay balanced without clutching the broom with both hands.

Armand winced and rubbed his shoulder. "Aw, come on. I'll stay in one piece!" He blinked, noticing her more at ease. "Hey, you can fly after all!" He laughed. "Come on, enjoy the ride while you can! These brooms are borrowed!" With that he took off full speed down the length of the field.
