Located next to the pitch is an unassuming building that has been rarely used over the years, except for storing the official game equipment. Over the past week, the school house elves have been busy cleaning and preparing the room when their hectic schedule allowed it. At last, it looks like a locker room fit for a professional Quidditch team.

The walls are painted a pale gold with a large Hogwarts emblem painted prominently on one wall. On the opposite side is a row of deep purple lockers with golden numbers and locks gleaming in the overhead light of the room. Inside each locker, are black practice robes, black and silver/white game day robes, and a broom servicing kit. The floor is padded in a non-slip black rubber and golden chairs covered with purple cushions are arranged before the lockers. The private showers and restroom facilities are down the hall, safe from prying eyes.

A magical board on wheels sits to one side of the room - a single tap and it comes alive with various diagrams of Quidditch moves. Near the board is a bookcase that contains the latest Quidditch rule book and strategy guides, as well as the most recent editions of Quidditch magazines. A magical cooler stocked with refreshments and a cupboard full of miscellaneous items (snacks and first aid items to extra towels for the showers). A portion of the wall near the entrance, is lined with the portaits of students who gained prominence in the world of professional Quidditch.

So come in and relax - it's one of the few student-free areas on campus!

This locker room is for the Hogwarts Staff only. No students are to post in this locker room thread.

Laughing warmly Ophelia smiled, "A little stunned to be honest, i haven't played Quidditch in such a long time! Now i'm on the staff team. Well...there you go!" She giggled, "What about you?" She asked politely.

Coming to her senses about the brooms Ophelia looked up and smiled brightly, "Yes, do thank your brother Max, really."

"These must be highly expensive brooms, I can tell just by looking! I'm not too caught up in the latest models of broomstick, but how fast do these go? Don't want to be breaking a hip or my neck..." He joked.

Onyx couldn't help but feel a little... jealous as Danni kissed Max on the cheek. They weren't necessarily going out, but... he felt there was something between himself and Danni... he squared his shoulders and examined the new broom, trying not to think too much on it. It was just an innocent kiss on the cheek after all and he had no business feeling threatened.

Allegra walked into the locker room and took in the scene. This was going to be one fun time. She had never really gotten into quidditch at the academy in Italy but she kept it her little secret. She liked to play with the boys in the 'family' from time to time. Sure they'd let her win but eventually she beat them on her own. Her eyes lit up seeing the new racing brooms they'd be using. "Max, you've just got relatives all over the place I don't know about, don't you?"

"Hehe, you never asked," Max winked and gritted his teeth as a sharp jolt shocked him. I wasn't flirting! A woman can kiss me and nothing happens. I wink and ZAP! Janey needs to get a grip . . . charming a chain so it zaps me. "But yeah, I'm the 'little' brother." He cleared his throat and continued. "Do any of you ladies need some assistance in learning how to fly one of these, um, broomsticks or even how to toss a Quaffle or whack a Bludger?"

"Nope I don't need to know how to play this game Max. I was taught to play Quidditch dirty by some very dirty people." Allegra winked at him and smirked at the thought of just hitting the bludger and knocking someone straight off their broomstick like her 'relatives' used to do to her. Her grandfather always said if you got hit with a bludger, get up off the ground and whack them with the bat.

Armand raised a brow at Max. "You alright, Max?" He stood, now dressed in his practice robes, and grabbed the new broom from his locker. "Get in a flying accident and didn't tell Ariana or something?"

Max laughed and brushed off the comment. "Ah, its nothing . . . just a little headache. Dirty tactics, eh, Allegra? Just don't mistake a student's head for a bludger."

"Sounds like we're gonna be playing hard," Armand laughed. "So, I didn't check the list. Who all's playing? Is everyone here already, or are we waiting on someone?"

Natasha peered in, her red hair all stuck up in a messy bun. "Hullo! Am I very late?" She asked apologetically as she walked in. She caught sight of Armand and smiled warmly at him as she picked up what she assumed were her robes...yes, they were rather short. Then she saw the brooms and sort of froze - what in Merlin's beard was she thinking, playing quidditch?!

She held her robes up to herself, frowning at Armand, "Why ever not? It's time to face my fears, Armand!" She said, sweeping an arm dramatically at the broomsticks lined against the walls.

He blinked. "Face your fears? Dear Merlin please tell me you've flown before..." He shook his head, not believing what he was saying. "Wait, it doesn't matter if you've flown before! You're not flying now!"

Propping her hands on her hips, Natasha glared up at Armand, "I have flown before, and I'll have you know...I stayed ON the broom in my last lessons." She didn't mention that the last time she'd flown was in her second year. Must have slipped her mind.

Her face was flushed from anger at his words, "Ooooh, you bully! If I can't fly, well - well," She stalled, thinking, "Well then, neither can you, Armand Erikson."

"Tash, it's not like the students are going to be going easy on us!" He sighed. "What if something happens? What if you get hurt? What if--" He stopped himself, not even wanting to think of what could happen. "Tash... I just... You know..."

She softened at his words, but she was still quite annoyed. "I know, but Armand, you've got to let me try this." She whispered, pulling him aside to keep the others from hearing. It was probably too late, they'd heard so much already.

"I doubt the students would aim a bludger at a teacher, anyway." She said, showing just how ignorant she was of the sport.

"Love, the students are not going to go easy on us. This is All-Star, remember? These kids are probably looking to be career Quidditch players. They aren't going to let themselves be beaten by us." He sighed. "It's a dangerous sport, and just think about it. It'll be the first time they get to strike a blow at us without fearing detention."

She thought about it, worrying her lip as she did, "Well...I guess, you're right. I wouldn't put it past Tagren to try something after the detention I gave him..." she looked up at him, "But I want to play."

He sighed. "Well, we still have practice, so I guess we'll see..." He eyed her. "But be careful, please. And I swear if you crash I'm tying you to a bed in the hospital wing until... well, until you're better, anyway. And the match is over." Dear Merlin, please don't crash, he thought desperately.

She beamed up at him, "Pfft, don't be silly, Armand. I wouldn't crash! I'm sure that I'll be fine in the air, even if I'm slightly wobbly on earth." She patted his arm and pushed her own fears aside. It wouldn't do to have argued with him and then backed out of the match herself.

"Now...I'm gonna change into my robes, dearling. Be right back!" She held out the slightly wrinkled garment and headed for one of the private cubicles.

Armand sighed and sat back on the bench, the excitement of flying on the new brooms well forgotten. "If there are powers-that-be that have total control over our lives... please let nothing happen to her." He remembered the broom in his hand and stood again, heading out to the pitch. The sooner he took to air, the sooner he'd remember how to fly.

"I think tonight we'll just fly. We all need to fimilarize ourselves with the new brooms. I have the latest Firebolt but these are way better than those. Max, would you join us? We'll do some formations, rolls, starting, stops," Jack suggested to them. "We leave the ball chest in here. Let's go fly."

He grapped the new SuperNova and headed for the door leading to the pitch. "Mount up, but stay close to the ground if you aren't sure of your flying ability." Jack suggested. When his feet touched the grass he swung his left leg over the broom and pushed off.

Danni hopped onto her broom and took off after Tolkien. It felt great fly again, she hadnt done so since last summer. Streaking around the pitch at top speed, she went into a dive, pulling up at the very last second, her toes almost touching the ground. Zooming back up beside Tolkien she laughed, "These things are awesome!"

Armand hovered high above the pitch, overlooking the field. Merlin it felt good to be flying again! The wind in his hair... which was actually being rather annoying. He made note to braid it for the match. "Having fun?" he called down to Danni, just after she pulled up from her dive.

Grinning, Danni replied, "Yes, indeed I am!" She rolled over and locked her legs around the broom, letting go with her hands, she just hung there. After a few moments the blood started rushing to her head so she flipped back up and sat normally, "Race ya!" she called to Armand in a childish voice as she took off down the pitch.
