| | |  Magical Creature Hospital
On the grounds, just past the Herbology greenhouses on the edge of the forest, is nestled the Magical Creature hospital. There is a small stone building housing the animals that can’t be left outside, as well as various sized pens to house the larger outdoor animals. The pens are nearly full of recuperating animals, and the building houses a various assortment of ailing creatures from owls to pygmy puffs.
Bored and looking for something to do, or want to earn some extra house points? There are always sick and injured creatures here at the hospital, and I’m sure I could use the help! And if you have an injured pet you are most welcome to bring it here and let me have a look at it. There are also lots of animals up for adoption that need owners!
So you are welcome to wander around and just look, or if you would like something to do just let me know. The animals here can get pretty lonely and I can’t spend time with all of them. Our beautiful Silmaril and Caramel are still here, along with all the other old timers. Just be wary of the Hippogriffs and stay away from the baby dragon, he has a cold and is shooting fire off every time he sneezes…
OOC: We always have Augurey, Billywig's, Bowtruckle, Clabbert's, Crups, Diricawl, Doxy's, one dragon, Dugbog, Fairy's, Fire Crabs, Flobberworms, Fwooper, Glumbumbles, Grindylow, Hippogriff, Horklumps, Imps, Jarvey, Jobberknolls, Knarls, Kneazles, Leprechauns, Lobalug, Moke, Murtlap, Niffler, Pixies, Plimpy, Puffskein, Ramora, Shrake, Streeler, Unicorn, and Winged Horses. Both healthy just for viewing, and one's in need of care.
We also on occasion get other more rare magical creatures. | |

"Ok guys, excellent work! Now, what we need to do is clean the wound first. In the bucket there are some plastic squirtable vials of saline and and gauze swabs. We need to wash the wound to get all the dirt and muck out of it. There should be enough vials and swabs to go around so dig in." She moved toward the bucket and got a swab for herself. "When you are wiping gently, start from the inside of the wound and move out. Only use each swab once then throw it in the dirty bag." | |

Phoebe smiled at Cora. "Come on," she said. She leaned over the bucket and took a vial and a swab. she then slipped up to the creature. tHe wound was big, and she set to work, cleaning and replacing her swab, and cleaning and replacing her swab. She stood back to let the others have a go. She stood next to professor Dainsie, "How fast will the wound heal? I hope not too long, I hate seeing hurt animals."

"Yep, just pour them both in. It isn't dangerous, it's just a powerful healing potion so if you touch it your skin will try and heal. If there's no cut your skin will just get thicker. "I'd like to help, Professor." Kennedy stood from her crouching position and obtained two vials from Professor Dainsie. Kennedy was thinking to herself, "I wonder if Professor Dresden could teach me to make this potion. I'm always getting cuts when I'm playing Quidditch, some of them deep too." Kennedy was relieved to see that the horse's wounds were healing more and more with each addition of the potion. She hoped the horse would be 'good-as-new' in no time. But Kennedy had been so concerned with the horse's state that she had not head Professor Dainsie instruct them to mix the vials first. She was opening the vials and was about to pour them directly onto the wound...

"Oh my goodness! How did I miss that? I am so so sorry. She must have mentioned it when I was whispering in the horse's ear that everything is going to be ok. I know the horse is Stupefied and all, but I thought some reassuring words would be nice. I didn't realize that I missed that important piece of information. I just heard snippets where Professor Dainsie said, 'Just pour them both in.' I thought she ment pour them both into the wound. I didn't realize she was referring to the bowl! Thank you for stopping me. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't!" Kennedy's eyes were filling with tears. She normally paid complete attention when professors were speaking but something about the wounded animal kept Kennedy's attention away. She simply felt awful for what could have happened. She stammered, "Professor, I'm so sorry. I promise it won't happen again. You have my undivided attention."

"Oh, Kennedy, I'm sorry if i sounded harsh. I just didn't want the horse to be harmed." Phoebe smiled. She brought the bowl over to Kennedy. "Here, put that in." They both put their vials in, and Phoebe mixed it up. She gave the bowl to Kennedy, "Here--now you can put it on the wound. It's a healing potion, that I know. Hold on a moment, though...Professor Dainsie, we should just pour it right on, is that correct?"
