Jasmine was walked across the grounds toward the new groundskeeper's hut with her baby plant in hand. She was trying to meet all of the school staff and at least say hello. Today on such a pretty day she thought it would be a good day to be outside, so the groundskeeper fit in perfectly. Stepping up to the lovely little hut with its beautiful flowers she read the sign on the door and knocked three times. While she waited for a reply she closed her hazel eyes and took in a deep breath or the wonderful scents surrounding her. A light breeze lifted her long dark chestnut hair and the sound of the windchimes made her feel quite peaceful, making her smile.

Shaking the young girls hand Maddison smiled, "Very nice to meet you Molly. And as for helping me with the garden, that would be splendid. Its pretty well kept right now, but I know as the year goes on and the season's change, I'll need some assistance. Mr. Hirty and I can only do so much." she said letting out a small chuckle. With that she remembered that she still had to go and meet her fellow Groundskeeper.

Hearing another knock Maddison turned to Molly, "Please go and have a seat with the other girls. Help yourself to some tea if you'd like."

Opening the door, the first thing Maddison saw was a plant being held by a young girl. "Oh hello there." she said as she petted the plant. Realizing she probably looked like an insane person, Maddison quickly shifted her gaze to the young girl.

"Hello how can I help you?" Maddison gave her a smile before turning around to look back into her hut. From her view it looked as if she was holding a Girl Scouts meeting. Not like any of these wizarding children would even know what that was, but thats what it reminded her of.

Molly eagerly listened as Ms. Daae spoke. She was very excited that she was going to be able to help with the garden. So excited that she bounced back and forth on the front step the entire time the groundskeeper talked to her.

"Oh, I would love some tea, thank you" Molly said as she entered the hut. Before her was a small group of students, all sitting in a circle, sipping tea. The hut was much larger on the inside than it appeared from outside and its coziness made Molly feel right at home.

Remembering that her Grandmother just sent her a box of fresh baked cookies, Molly pulled the package out of her bag and placed the cookies in the middle of the circle before taking a seat.

Jack smiled and said "Thank you" and she stepped inside the house...before she could take a seat she turned back and shaked her hand and said "I'm Jack Riddle...my real name is Jaqueline...but everyone calls me Jaqueline" she said

Jasmine opened her eyes and beamed at the pretty woman. "Hi! I'm Jasmine and this is a baby peppermint plant! My mother grows them and I thought being the groundkeeper you might like one. If you dry out the leaves they make a wonderful calming tea." Jasmine continued to smile at Miss Daae and held the plant out for her to take. Thinking to herself, Jasmine, you sounded like a total dork.

Sana felt happy about Miss Maddison's accepting her offer ot bring some other flower plants into her Garden. She immediately opened her Ivory colour backpack bag and pulled out the book. She searched page by page in hurry and took out a pic of Jasmine flower which was blooms at her Garden at the time while she was leaving home to Hogwarts.

"No prob Madam. It's my pleasure. Here's the pic of my Jasmine flower. I just clicked this before I left my house to Hogwarts. Its spreading the smell all over our house in the evening time Madam Daa. I'll send my owl to my parents to bring the plant for you Madam. And I'm leaving now since you have so many visitors. I'll see you with the plants later", she's getting out of her seat as she shows the pic of the flower.

As she watched the group of girls, she smiled as the Slytherin student approached her once again. "Oh well very nice to meet you Jack." she said before turning back to face the new girl at the door.

Maddison let out a small chuckle as Jasmine spoke. She was talking so fast, Maddison knew right away that she would be in desperate need of tea after that hurried introduction.

"How very sweet, thank you so much Jasmine." taking the plant Maddison examined it closely. The mention of tea made her mind race to deliberately drying out the plant, but of course she wouldn't do that. At least not for a few weeks.

"That's very thoughtful Jasmine. Would you like to come in for tea, or are you off to enjoy the wonderful weather we are having?"

Redirecting her attention to Sana, Maddison smiled at the photo she showed her. "Oh yes, Jasmine is one of my favorites. The smell is so inviting."

Maddison could not get over how sweet and polite the students were. It must be something in the water, or the cooking, or the air? She wondered if Mr. Hirty was having her luck with meeting everyone. "Thats very kind of you Sana."

Hearing that Sana was leaving, Maddison returned to open the door for her. "Well, thank you for visiting and I look forward to seeing you in the future."

"Oh right my name. Its Brie Zack." She walked over to the table and made her self some hot tea with lots of sugar. She couldn't wait to join the conversation

Jasmine seeing that Miss Daae already had quite a collection of students ,said," Oh I don't want to over crowd your hut!" Smiling she said," It looks like you are having a Girl Scout meeting!"Jasmine said giggling. "I hope to see you again real soon Miss Daae." Giving the groundskeeper one last friendly smile she turned and made her way toward the Magical Creature's Hospital.

Molly sat and had a cup of tea with the other girls. She didn't want to be rude to Ms. Daae, but she did look very busy and Molly didn't want to be a bother. She heard another knock at the door and figured it was as good of time as any to excuse herself.

Molly got up and headed towards the door. "Thank you for the tea, Ms. Daae. I left a box of cookies for you and the other girls to enjoy." She couldn't get over how beautiful the grounds keeper was. She had always pictured a grounds keeper to be sort of ruff and un-kept. "Please let me know if I can be of any help to you. I will stop by and check on your garden as often as I can."

With that said Molly turned towards the door and slowly walked away. Her mind filled with all the conversations she had just heard and all the wonderful people she just met.

Christian had gotten a little of target with his practice. What he was doing by the lake seemed to have drifted him over to a cozy hut. He hadn't seen the hut yet, he was too busy making sure his soccer ball didn't go flying into the forest or decatapitate anyone for that matter. Perhaps he should have stopped and take a mini moment to look around before new problems arose. Without thinking, he kicked the ball. It was a pretty bad kick mind you, and it sailed off course. Though, he wasn't prepared for the moment it hit the hut door. He didn't know what to do! He could run, but then he could have mega-triathelete coming after him. Or he could stay there, like the fool he was, and have some person scold at him. For some reason, he thought that the second idea was better and stupidly stood still in the place where he had kicked the ball.

Jack smiled at her and ssid "so how long have you been here?"

Oh not that long!

Maddison gave Jasmine a small smile when she heard that she would not be staying. “Well thank you for being so considerate. But you really wouldn’t be overcrowding. As you can see the hut is quite spacious. It may look small from the outside, but as you know looks can be deceiving.”

Letting out a light chuckle at Jasmines comment, Maddison shook her head. “Yes I’m afraid it does look that way doesn’t it?” Giving Jasmine a curious look, she couldn’t help but contemplate over the purity of Jasmines blood. No pure blood wizard could possibly know about Girl Scouts. Pushing the thought aside she concentrated once more on the young girls words.

“I’m sure we will see each other again.” Maddison returned the girls wave before shutting the door.

Making her way back to the table, Maddison stopped when Molly approached her. As she listened to the young girl speak, she glanced over at the table and indeed saw that she had left cookies for all to enjoy. The students at Hogwarts sure had a tooth for sweet treats. First cookies at the staff table, and now cookies here at her hut? This was going to be a problem for poor Madd.

“Oh how very kind of you Molly, thank you very much. And thank you for taking the time to come and meet me.” She gave the girl a friendly pat on the back before watching her exit.

Jumping all of a sudden when a loud bang was heard, Maddison placed her hand on her chest and quickly turned around.

A nervous feeling had come over her and she hadn’t felt like this since she first arrived in London. Taking a hard swallow she made her way to the door. She had a good mind to reprimand whoever knocked on the door so rudely, but she decided that she would see who it was first before hollering at them from inside her hut.

Opening the door she saw a young boy standing before her. He couldn’t have been more than a first year. Immediately after seeing him she saw the culprit of the bang. She wasn’t physic but something told her that the loud noise wasn’t intentional. Too, his defeated expression didn’t conceal much.

“Think you might need a bit more practice?” she said as let out a small smirk.

Looking over at the small clock on her wall Maddison couldn’t help but notice how much time had passed. She would need to leave her hut soon, and go and tend to the grounds.

"Did you enjoy the opening feast? I forgot how wonderful the food here at Hogwarts was." she said with a light giggle as she placed a few books on the shelf.

Phoebe walked over to where Miss Daaé had pointed to with a spring in her step. Picking up the box which Phoebe was expecting a rude, and very heavy shock was suprised by the feather like weight, Despite the box crammed with unusual bit's and bobs. After placing it carefully on her desk She sat down with Sana and took a mug filled with what Phoebe thought was Herbal tea.

After taking a sip she nodded, "Mmmm, this is delicious" She said truthfully. "hello Sana" She said friendly to the other girl. "Phoebe" She said reffering to herself. "Yeah, th efood is delicious. Much better than anything I have had all holidays" She grinned feeling her stomach rumbling slightly as she thought about the delicious lunch which was being prepared as they spoke.

"The house elves are so talented" she commented wondering whow they cooked such beautiful meals. " So did you used to go here?" She asked the Gruondskeeper. "Which house were you in?" She asked curiously hoping her own house.

Christian quickly ran to go retrieve his soccer ball. He remembered to breathe when the groundskeeper smiled at him and made a joke. He came back, out of breathe cause he had ran. He approached the door. Being the polite little kid he was, he bowed his head slightly to her,
"I'm so sorry,"he started,"I didn't mean to hit your door. A little more practise wouldn't hurt," he added laughing.
Noticing that there were other people around, he figured he shouldn't disturb her or add to the load of kids she was already watching.
"I'm going to leave you to your day ma'am. I'll be around again sometime soon. Bye!"
Christian ran off to head back to the lake to take a swim.

Surprised when she heard Phoebe speak, Maddison was a bit startled. She had been so quiet that Mad was sure she had left along with the other students.

"Yes I did attend school here. And as for which house I was in, I was in the wonderful house of Ravenclaw." a proud smile graced her face as the words rolled elegantly off her tongue.

Maddison gave the young boy a kind smile when he apologized. When he stated that he would leave, she nodded her head. Children sure did have a lot of energy. A fact that she would have to grow accostumed to. She had never really been around people younger than herself, so this was all new to her.

"Very well then. Hope to see you later, and keep up the practice." she gave him a wink before watching him run off in the direction of the lake.

Turning to see who was left in her hut, she noticed not too many people were there.

"Well ladies its been fun getting to know you, but I'm afraid I have to go and tend to the grounds. I'm sure I'll see you all around." Maddison smiled at them all as she ushered them to the door. "Thank you for all your help."

Stepping outside herself she made sure she had her wand before locking the door. Turning to face the door she conjured up a note that appeared on the door.

Phoebe grinned as Miss Daae was so proud of her Ravenclaw house. When she mentioned tending the grounds Phoebe was quick to suggest her help. "Proffesor, I would love to help. Though I don't know if you need or want any, I don't mind what it is." She said hopefully as she hurried out of the cosy hut.

Liz saw a little hut bursting with flowers. She ran towards it with her heavy load. She read the note and turned looking for a piece of parchment out of place but still there. She saw one by the vegetable garden. She ran over and wrote

" Here are some fruit for the house elves. I thought I should bring them here. There are about 100 of them.

She set the note on the ground and put a fruit on it to keep it from blowing away. She dumped out the rest of the fruit and skipped away.

Cora wandered over to the adorable little hut where Professor Daae lived. Her dark hair was pinned up in an elegant knot yet a few whispy curls curved around her face and fell towards her chin. She was clutching a wicker basket that was bursting with flowers and fruits, as her mother had always taught her to never turn up empty handed.

Blowing her hair out of her face, Cora reached out with her free hand and knocked on the door.

Reaching her hut Maddison set the basket of fruit down in the back by the garden. She wasn't quite in the mood to take it up to the castle just yet. Perhaps the house elves would be kind enough to come and fetch it, but she didn't want to make their job more difficult than it already was.

Coming round to the front door she saw a large amount of fruit just dumped everywhere. Her mouth dropped slightly before pursing her lips in annoyance.

Noticing a note on the ground, she picked it up and read it. It was a sweet gesture indeed, but Maddison would have liked for the fruit to have been placed in one of the many baskets that resided near the door.

Taking out her wand she gathered all the fruit and placed it in a whicker basket. Levitating the basket she guided it to the back of the hut.

Coming round once again, she saw a student at the door. Maddison saw that the young lady came bearing gifts, or perhaps more fruit to add to the collection that was already far too big.

With a flick of her wand the absence note on the door disappeared. "And how may I help you today?" she asked the young girl before making her way to the door and unlocking it.

"Come in please, and take a seat." she removed her cloak and placed it on the coat hanger.

Sam read the sign on the door. He really wanted to meet the new Groundskeeper but didn't want to disturb her if she was busy. Sam pondered for a few seconds as he smelled of the flowers around the small hut. He turned and looked at the castle from the hut. He then slowly turned back around and knocked on the small hut's door feeling dreadfully nervous.

Cora smiled as she stepped inside the hut. "I brought you some flowers." She said, politely holding out the basket that was decorated in white ribbon and brusting with red, pink and white roses.

"I just thought I'd pop in as I'm new here and I'm making myself familiar with the teachers." She gave the groundskeeper another smile.


"My name is Cora-Blue Latiffa, first year Slytherin." She held out a hand. Cora's manners were always on top form as her mother had disapproved of rudeness, lateness and untidyness.

Hearing a knock, Maddison turned round once more and answered. Opening the door she saw a young Gryffindor boy. He looked as if he were anticipating something. He seemed nervous.

"Hello there. Please come in won't you." she held open the door and waited for the boy to enter.

Maddison gave Cora a faint smile. "Well, isn't that sweet. I absolutely adore flowers. Thank you very much." taking the basket Maddison placed it on the table near the entrance. The colors of the flowers were very beautiful and would make a fine addition to her already perfect hut.

It was amazing how well behaved and well mannered all the students were. Maddison was sure it had to do with the water or perhaps the house elves cooking. Whatever the case, she never remembered students behaving this way when she was at school. Well, except for herself of course.

"It's very nice meeting you Cora. I'm Maddison. You may call me Miss Daaé." she shook the young girls hand firmly before letting go. A strong handshake is always best, at least that's what she grew up being told.

"Yes becoming acquainted with Professors and Staff is always a good idea. Also welcome to Hogwarts. I'm sure you'll have a good first year."

Maddison turned to the young Gryffindor boy and smiled, "And how may I help you young man?"

Sam walked through the door of the small hut. The aroma of the room filled Sam's nostrils. He looked around inside for a few seconds and then asked the Groundskeeper,

"You know, to be honest, I never really much cared for any of our past Groundskeepers. They somewhat scared me, but its really cool to see that Hogwarts picked up a great Groundskeeper. Everything outside the castle has been looking fantastic. You must be really working very hard Ms. Daaé"

Sam found something that looked somewhat like a chair and sat down, his back was tired from walking down from the castle.

"By the way, I'm Samuel Daniels, Gryffindor Fourth year, but you can just call me Sam. Everyone else does." Sam said with a smile
