Lined along a slightly cleared set of tables are empty pots, and by each one was a small bag of soil (amazingly just enough to fill the pot). Along the center of the table were just grab bags of fertilizer, peat moss, pebbles, stones, mulch, compost, and miscellanious other bits of gardening supplies. And of course, there were little shovels and rakes right next to each pot. At the head of the line of tables was Professor Erikson, with small boxes of various colored opalescent seeds in front of him. He waited patiently for the students to arrive.

She caught sight of the silver seeds in his hands and then looked back down to the (suddenly) boring peach one in hers, "Hmm..I wonder...could I have one of those silver ones?" She asked, peering over his shoulder to take a good look at the seeds. They were really pretty.

She scooped some soil into her pot, unsure of how much was to go in. Would too much stifle the seed and kill it? Oh no...this is why she was never good at this subject.

He smiled. "Sure. I just wouldn't had them out to the students. These will be covered in the next class." He held the box out to her. "The flowers from these seeds grow pure silver flowers. The stems are a little more stiff to be able to hold the flowers, but they're very beautiful. Getting one of these seeds are rare. The only seed from these plants that is more rare is one that is multicolored."

Cassandra gathered her books and made them dissapear. She then headed to the greenhouses, for her afterclass program with the professor.

Natasha reached for one of the very rare seeds with a sort of awe settling over her as she did so, "I'm very honoured that you'd think to risk one of these on me." She said, smiling up at him as she stuck a hole in the soil with her thumb like she'd seen the students do. She placed the seed carefully (almost revenrently) into the soil and covered it with a little bit of soil.

Then she continued to stare down at the soil, as if willing it to sprout immediately. "Did you know, Armand, that flowers have their own language? And that they convey their messages using their colours."

He nodded. "So I've heard. Though, I can most definately tell you I have a plant that only says 'stay away from me.'" He said the last bit in a slightly squeaky voice, as though speaking for the plant. "It shies away whenever you get near it, and it isn't even magical." He got some pebbles from the table and sprinkled them in the bottom just so, then mixed some of the soil with a little clay dust before putting it in the pot. He planted the seed, added a little more soil, the topped it with compost, peat moss, then mulch. He set it down a moment, got some small filled watering cans, and handed one to Natasha.

Once Brooke had dropped off her plant in the common rooms she headed back for the herbology classroom. She glanced inside and saw that Professr Erikson was still talking to someone so she went back out into the hall and waited there.

She took the watering can and sprinkled the surface of the soil with some water, "I wasnt talking about actual talking, Armand, and you know it. I'm talking about Floriography, which incidentally is next on my lesson plan." She looked up at him again (dear lord, but he was tall), "Would you be interested in attending that class, perhaps? And also...I would need several flowers from your greenhouse to prepare for it. Do you think you could spare me some?"

He thought about it. "That shouldn't be a problem. The flowers, I mean. Well, coming to your class won't be a problem either..." He colored slightly. "Merlin, Tash, you'd think I could talk properly by now..." He poured the water over the soil until a little water trickled out the bottom. He pat it once more, the damp moss and mulch sticking to his hands.

She fought back the smile that threatened to emerge upon hearing his words. He had trouble with words around her? Despite the most valiant efforts, one corner of her mouth lifted in a half smile, "Well, I look forward to seeing you and the flowers, then, Armand...and thank you for this opportunity, you really are a remarkable teacher." She picked up the potted plant and held it close to her, not caring how much dirtier her robes got as they were going straight into the fire anyway.

"I'll come back to check on this little one's progress..." she said, and before she could think about it, she had leaned up and kissed him softly on the chin (which was as high up as she could reach). Her heart beating like a wild drum now, good lord, what on earth was she thinking? The last time was excusable, but this time? Well...she'd write it off as being over-stressed.

She turned and walked to the exit, sending a smile over her shoulder at him, though her cheeks flared almost as bright as her hair.

He watched her leave, quite surprised, and noting how red she was as well. It was enough to make him blush a little. He cleaned up some from his own plant and brought it over to the several he had. Just to be safe, he pulled a small silver ribbon from his pocket and tied it to the little plant.

Gathering Cassandra and Brooke, he brought them both back to the tables, pulling fresh pots out for each of them. "Sorry for being so distracted. I'm not sure what's gotten into me. Let's start your lessons..."
