A puppet... great. Just great. thought Aurora. Like my family doesnt think i am their own puppet as it is. But the face painting may be fun. Aurora got herself more comfy in the seat and was a little excited to paint. |
Molly looked at the professor in disbelief. Puppets, she has to be kidding. I have no desire to paint anyone or have anyone in this class paint me...well...unless it was... Molly's hand shot up. "Pinocchio, that's the wooden boy with the growing nose, is it not?" |
Alicia raised her eye brows slightly at what was happening. Then nodded. "I have professor," she said. |
Ariana riased her hand, "Pinoochio is the story about a puppet that wished to be a real boy. The blue fairy gave him his wish after he proved he could do something." she said, not quite sure. Shrugging she waited with her notebook. |
Kennedy raised her hand and answered, "Pinnochio is an animated marionette made my his 'father' Geppetto and the story goes that everytime he told a lie, his nose grew a few inches." |

Bucky took the girl's hand and shook it, smiling kindly at her. "Nice to meet you Eleanor. Mind if I call you Elly? My name's Bucky." She seemed so small and confused. Poor thing. Celestina wished all first years were like this. Then maybe she wouldn't get the urge to shove them inside a suit of armor every once in a while. "I'm not sure," she said handing the girl some brushes and paint. "But it'll be fun. I suppose. If you're into painting other people's faces. You can paint mine!" Bucky snickered at Eliza's response to the comment she had made about her imaginary bump. Serves her right. Casually she reached out for the nearest two mirrors and slipped them inside her robes. Eliza could go look at herself after class. "Pinocchio is the puppet whose nose would grow with each lie," she answer and rubbed her nose wondering if her would grow because of the lie she had just told Eliza. |
"I have a mirror here it is " Rebecca stood back and hastily put her hands over her ears in case Eliza screamed then she heard the professors question and said "Thats the puppet who everytime he lied his nose got bigger and he had to tell the truth to make it smaller, thats how my mum got me to tell the truth she used to say if you lie your nose will grow bigger but it never happened" Rebecca wrinkled her nose and said how long until we get painting? She wanted to get this over with |
Patrick snorted. Puppets, honestly he thought. Seeing Eliza start frantically searching her nose for a bump was also funny even though he only knew her by sight and reputation. He grinned. Then, "Pansies?" he said out loud incredulously. "What does that have to do with Pinnochio?" he asked. Pinnochio was a story his mother had read to him on occasion when he was small. |

"Professor, wasnt Pinnochio written by an Italian? Carlo Collodi?" Aurora asked. " Or are we talking about the Muggle movie version again?" |

"Now, let's get to business," Lainey looked around. NO one was painting yet! "Ahem, I think you all should get to painting. It would offend me greatly if you did nothing but listen to my lesson and not indulge in the distraction I've provided you all. Do go on. Someone make Chloe a fish face." "So, back to the lesson. Nearly everyone of you have said that "boy" puppet, Pinocchio... you all said his nose grew every time he told he a lie. Who has ever heard of such nonsense really? Can anyone give me a real explanation of such a thing?" |

"what kind of face paint would you like? professor said you only had to have a little bit of paint on your face so i can do you a tiny picture" OOC: sorry have to finish tommorow as it is bedtime, school tommorow :( |
Suzy started to paint her face. The paint was very cold at first but she continued painting and raised her hand, " i have heard of it professor. I just love that story." |
Kennedy replied, "Perhaps everytime he lied, a wizard or witch transfigured his nose or performed an engorgement charm?" |
Molly reluctantly grabbed some black and yellow paint. She wasn’t sure how she was going to paint her own face, but she figured she better give it a try. “Are you talking about what happens to people when they lie? Like some people can’t look you in the eyes and, in extreme cases, some people will become physically ill.” |

"Pinocchio?" He said his eyes getting filled with tears. "That's a sad story about a wooden boy. Who wanted to be a boy. Poor, poor boy" he said as he rubbed a tear away. Why did Leo get so emotional when a sad story is told |
"Maybe the fairy used an Engorgio charm with and reverse Veritaserum?" Or maybe it was just bad magic Aurora thought. Aurora started to paint a small snitch on eash of KK's cheeks. |
suzy raised her hand, "or maybe he had a permanant charm that made his nose grow everytime he told a lie." Suzy started to paint her whole face green. She was letting it dry so she could make a beautiful red rose. |
Ariana shrugged and picked up her mirror that was on the desk. She started with the blue paint, beginning to draw wavy lines which would represent waves for her face. Why she was doing this she had no idea, but hey it was fun. She had no idea of how to answer the question so continued drawing on her face, feeling like a 5 year old again. Once the waves were done she looked for a diffrent color and picked up the black andd white, mixing them together to make grey. That done she began drawing tiny dots on her face, not really knowing what she was making. Suddenly she thought of an answer. "Maybe the fairy was a witch and became invisible staying with the "boy" as he lived his "boy" life. Everytime he said a lie she made his nose grow with a charm. But professor, isn't this a fairy tale? It has no basis in fact does it?" she asked, quirking a grey eyebrow. |
Kennedy waited until Aurora had painted a snitch on one side of her face and asked her to paint a Quaffle on the other. She then asked, "What do you want me to paint on your face?" |
Patrick shrugged. "Perhaps the blue fairy didn't think he'd stay honest and stalked him to make sure he did buuut she was too kind and only tried to remind him that he was once honest," he volunteered. Then he took a brush and a mirror and began adding red streaks to his cheeks. Then after this he put a dash of blue speckles on his forehead. |
"Whatever you want. How about.. um... I dont really know." she said to KK while she painted the quaffle. |
Molly was trying her hardest to paint on her own face. She thought she was making a Hufflepuff banner, but it was actually a giant glob of yellow and black smeared across her entire face. |

Lua beamed at Leo as he took up the seat next to her, squeezing his hand in return. She eyed him nervously as he started tearing at the mention of Pinocchio. Shiftily glancing sideways towards the nearest paints for distraction, she grasped the nearest palette along with two mirrors and brushes then leaned closer to Leo. "Come on hun, you heard the Professor. Lets paint" she remarked dabbing the brush in red paint then stroked it on her lips with one eye whilst the other was on the mirror. |
