HoM Lesson II Lainey had spent at least a few hours painting her face. At least. But, she was pleased with how she'd made blue swirls on her cheeks and some more random red dots here and there. It was perfect. Lainey had paints and brushes and mirrors laid out for everyone else as well. It was time for History of Magic to begin once more! Lainey propped open her door and stood by it, waiting for her students to arrive. |
Ali walked down the corridor to the HOM classroom, she stepped through the door. "Good Morning professor. How are you doing today?" Ali had always enjoyed Professor Lainey's classes and she was sure that this class would be even more fun. She smiled on her way in and looked at the paints and brushes that were laid out on the table. She wondered what they were for, but she didn't ask the professor. Ali walked over to a chair, sat down and waited for the other students to come in. |
Kennedy entered the HoM classroom with a skip in her step. She was in a good mood and it showed. She sat down at a desk at the front of the room and began taking out her supplies. She greated Professor Lainey, "Hello ma'am, nice face paint! I can't even begin to imagine what this lesson is going to be about but I'm excited!" |
Sam walked up to the History of Magic classroom with a full bag of books expecting a usual, moderately interesting class, but when he caught a Glimpse of the Professor, he wanted to fall on the floor. Her face was somewhat colorful today, and Sam had a bad feeling that this had something to do with the lesson... |
Celestina had managed to run away from Blaylock's office and wash up before her next lesson. She had even changed from her dirty uniform. It's not like she could go to class with a red and green hand imprint over her heart. Then...she spotted Lainey with war paint on. Her wide jade colored eyes stared at the paints and the brushes and the mirrors. "Oh dear," she muttered running a hand through her semi-dirty auburn hair. Not again. |
Ariana walked in looking down, but couldn't help but give a small smile as she saw the profesors face. "Hello professor, are we painting today?" she asked dumbly, her eyebrow quirked as she sat down in te front row and took out her books. She nodded to Kennedy as a hello and sighed inwardly. She hoped she could control herself today. Clearing her mind she waited. |
Leo entered the class. He looked around for a bit and spotted the Professor whose face....was covered in paint Oh Great. Here they go again. He walked over to where the Professor was and smiled. Noticing the paints, he turned to Lainey with wide eyes. "We're not going to paint our faces are we?" he asked, more like whined |
Ali walked into the room, bag slung over his shoulder and expected the lesson to be normal... Or close to it, anyways. "Hello Proff..." his voice trailed off as he saw the Professor's face, it looked like she'd been face painting. "..essor," his finished his sentence, trying not to stare at the swirls on her face. He spun around and noticed more brushes and the like, this was probably not going to be a normal lesson. Taking a seat, he got out the basic equipment and waited for more students to come in. |
Chloe ran into the History of Magic classroom, excited to earn some more points for Ravenclaw. "Hello Pro-..." She stopped dead in her tracks as she looked at Lainey. Her eyes widened and she just... stared. "Um. Professor, I don't mean to be rude but... what happened to you? Did you get pranked in your sleep or something?" Maybe on a normal day she would have thought it was cool, but she had not had enough sleep because the Quidditch match and tournament had taken up a lot of her time and effort. Slipping into a seat towards the middle of the classroom, Chloe continued to stare at her Head of House. Had she always been this crazy, or did this just happen over the summer? |
Eleanor wasn't paying attention as she was entering the classroom and ran right into the door frame. She let out a weak "ouch", shook her head and diverted her eyes from everyone else in the room. ~You're certainly one cool cat now aren't ya? ~Not another word from you! She took a seat with a scowl on her face, rubbing her forehead. |
"Of course we're going to paint each other's faces," Lainey informed her lovely students. "It'll be fun, you'll see." Lainey grinned and shooed a few students into the door. "I think we'll paint your whole body, Leo. Pink, I say." Lainey rolled her eyes playfully at him. "Face painting is going to be a mandatory part of becoming a puppet today!" |
"A what?" Sam asked as his mouth dropped slowly. This class was beggining to become so wierd, but at least it was fun. |
"Face painting? Sweet." Ali figured that was what the brushes were for, but she wasn't really thinking about it that much. "What do you mean by 'becoming a puppet' professor?" |
A puppet? Well, at least it's not a clown she thought as she shuddered involunatarily at the thought. Looking around she hoped no one saw her, she didn't want everyone to know she was terrified of clowns. She quirked another eyebrow though and could't wait for this lesson to begin. |
Kiara entered the History of Magic classroom with a small smile on her lips. It would be the first time during that term that she had set foot in the class since she had forgotten completely about the previous ones. Love could indeed make one change one's behaviour. The moment her eyes layed on the professor, however, she stopped walking and opened her eyes wide. What the heck was going on there? Deciding to keep her lips quiet, she quietly walked towards Leo, who she had just spotted, and took a seat next to him. 'Er... What's going on?' She asked him through the corner of her mouth. |
Bucky winced at Lainey's instructions. Not more paint! She had had enough of emotional painting. Although, she had to agree, a pink Leo would look amusing. There were several students she didn't recognize at once but she knew Chloe from the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. There was, however, a little first year she had never seen in her life! Good thing she wasn't a prefect. "Oi, you," she muttered and dragged Eleanor's seat next to hers. "You stay next to me. You'd be surprised at how dangerous some of these lessons turn out to be especially with all these--PUPPETS?!" Bucky finished exclaiming gawking at Professor Lainey. |
|
Alicia looked at Professor Lainey questionably. A puppet? she asked herself. This should be interesting! |

"Puppet? What are we doing a show?" he asked her as he looked down to one of the puppets. "I don't do no puppets. I may color my face, yes. But puppets, no way" Leo shivered. "Puppets may eat me one day, ever seen the movie Chuckie part 799? Now that movie is scary. Though, my dad told me part one is the scariest" |
Celestina rolled her eyes at Eliza and nudged the small girl beside her with the two glossy braided pigtails. "See that? Perfect example of a crazy," she whispered nodding to Eliza and then replying to her heinous comment. "Ah! See, that's where you're wrong. I'm sure I could end up fixing that little bump on your nose with some beige paint." |
"Professor you arent going to put strings on us and make us dance are you?" Rebecca asked playfully and she giggled at Elizas comment and said "I will paint yours if you want i'm a good artist honestly" she put her hand over her heart and made puppy dog eyes at her |

"I need to check!" she covered her nose worriedly incase she did have a bump and looked around, hoping no one could see. |
Lua rested her palm on her cheeks as she shiftily glanced around the classroom, for the first time in years she was able to look at the Professor in a way as if she understood her. Maybe because they both share a dark love, or twisted at that. But atleast her's wasn't trained yet. She rolled her eyes at a few girls, especially when they mentioned Leo's name then leaned backwards in her seat. This class would definitely be fun, painting relieves alot of the stress and merlins knows she needed some of that today. |
"You all are being pansy flowers! Come on now, we'll get started with the lesson and painting. You can either paint your own, or pick a partner. But, no one is leaving this classroom without some paint on their face!" Lainey left her doorside post and went to her desk. "None of the paints are permanent, so feel free to just go to town on each other. Most creative face painting may get points! So, grab those brushes and start painting!" Lainey grinned, and hopped up on the top of her desk. "Now, now. Let's begin. We'll dance later, Leo. Later. But, for now we must push on with the lesson. The Histroy lesson. Today, class we're going to talk about another "Good Fairy." If I've taught you anything about muggles this year and about what they believe, I hope you all remember at least this: There's no such thing as a "Good Fairy." In the story we'll be talking about today, the fairy is Blue. A blue fairy." Lainey rolled her eyes. Blue fairy, smoo hairy. "Has anyone heard of the story of Pinocchio?" |
