A soft mewing is coming from the corner of the Classroom, and the whole corner is kept warm, several blankets and hot water bottles are keeping the mewing creatures warm. The corner is also shaded, as these creatures prefer to live underground. Professor Maline quietly moves into the room, hot bottles of warm milk in a bag, slung over her shoulders, and butterflies follow her loyally. She picks up one of the baby MoonCalves and cradles the creature carefully in her arms, taking out a bottle, she begins to teach the motherless baby how to suckle the bottle. The door is open for you to join in and learn too, or you can come in and watch. ooc - this is a very long make up session for the schedule change yesterday, this thread won't be closed, and questions for points will be asked. | |

Neva saunters past the door in the Care Of Magical Creatures, stopping for a quick glance inside. She smiles as her eyes fall on a baby Mooncalf, being cradled by Professor Maline. She walks over quietly, looking over the Professor's shoulder as she beams down at the creature. " Bless. It's so cute" she simpers.

Professor Maline looked up and beamed as Neva approached, "Hello Neva, take one!" She whispered, gesturing to the basket of blankets with quietly mewing MoonCalves. "Just be careful, and take a bottle of milk, they need to learn how to feed." She explained, keeping her soft voice low.

Neva's eyes light up as Professor Maline suggests taking a MoonCalf. She walks quietly over to a particularly sweet looking creature wrapped in a pink blanket. Beaming down at it she lifts it up softly and takes a bottle. Cradling the small creature, she brings the bottle to its lips softly, willing it to drink.

As Savannah headed back to the common room she walked past The Care of Magical Creatures Classroom and saw the professor and another student with some type of baby creatures she couldn't identify.
"Hello Professor," She said quietly, as she slowly walked over to them.
Deciding the common room could wait till later.
"What are those?" Savannah question, Pointing to the little baby mooncalve that was in Professor Maline's arms.

Professor Maline looked up once more, the baby animal still happily attatched to the bottle Ophelia was holding. "Hello," Professor Maline beamed, her voice smooth and still quiet.
"Take a seat, and these are baby MoonCalves, would you like to teach one how to drink from a bottle?"

Savannah nodded excitedly as Professor Maline asked her if she'd like to teach one how to drink from a bottle. She had never gotten to hold a baby creature before, Let alone teach it how to drink from a bottle.
"By the way, My name's Savannah." Savannah said softly, As she realized she hadn't introduced herself to Professor Maline before.
Savannah smiled as more students began to come in.
"Should I just pick one up?" She asked Professor Maline.

Ariana walked into the classroom, curious about the mewing sounds she heard as she waswalking past. She went up to the corner and saw baby Mooncalfs "Aww, they're so adorable!" she said as she watched the Profesor hold one and hand it to a student.

Professor Maline beamed around at all the other students and gestured them in. "These need to be looked after right now, so sit down, get comfy, take a bottle and i'll hand you a mooncalf," Ophelia smiled, placing the one she was holding into Savannahs arms.
"You have a lovely name Savannah, and it's lovely to see you again Ariana," She beamed at her Ashwinder creator, really, she was a darling. "Alicia, Jack, come in!" She called quietly.

As Taylor headed up towards her Common Room, she decided she could do better with her time and went into the Care of Magical Creatures room. She noticed the mooncalfs in the corner and sighed. They were so precious! She walked in more and smiled at Professor Maline, "They are just the greatest!" she said gesturing to the creatures, "so cute!"

"Thankyou Ma'am," Savannah said quietly as the Professor placed the little Mooncalf in her arms.
She smiled down at the baby creature as she cradled it. Savannah grabbed one of the milk bottles and slowly made her way over to a bright green beanbag chair,
Not wanting to trip and hurt both herself and the baby mooncalf.
"Hello Taylor!" Savannah said brightly as she noticed taylor was there.
Savannah placed the baby mooncalf in her lap as she sat down in the beanbag chair, Still cradling it gently as she tried to get it to drink from the bottle.
"Professor, Do they have names?" She asked, Figuring she should call it by its name if it had one.

Taylor turned and looked at Savannah holding the little creature, "Hey!" she replied sweetly, "they're adorable, aren't they?" she smiled and watched her walk and sit down, and she turned back around to face Professor Maline.
"Oh, yes! Yes please!" she said, taking the bottle and looking at one of the mooncalfs just sitting there. She picked it up and carried it over and sat by Savannah, ready to give it its bottle. She was rather excited to also.

Kennedy carefully accepted the mewing mooncalf in her arms and gently cradled it in her arms and lap. She stared at its smooth, pale body and wondered how these baby mooncalves came to be motherless. She decided to ask Professor Maline what happened that orphaned the poor young creatures. "Professor, how did you come by these creatures? Did something happen to their mother that left them parentless?" She hoped the answer would not be a sad one, but feared that it probably was.

Ariana gently took the baby mooncalf and held it in her arms. She smiled even more as she look into its eyes, amazed that this little Mooncalf was only a newborn. Very gently she tlited its little head towards the bottle. It moved a tiny bit but she was patient. It was amazing to think these guys only came out during full moons.

Savannah did as Professor Maline told her and gently held the baby mooncalfs head up just a tiny bit and held the bottle to its mouth,
"Oh, What happened to their mother?" She asked quietly with a small frown, as she waited patiently for the Mooncalf to try to stuck on the bottle.
Savannah looked down at the baby as she felt a small tug at the bottle and smiled as she noticed the baby mooncalf trying to get the bottle into its mouth.
"Here you go little fella" She said quietly and gently put the tip of the bottle into its mouth before looking back over to Taylor,
"Yes, They are adorable!" She smiled.
