Julia's heart practically melted as Jacques entered the classroom. Whew, I'm sure glad he didn't see me fall. I'm sure he would've liked it though... she thought, shaking her head and giggling at her thoughts.
As he sat down next to her, she couldn't help but beam widely. So she wouldn't get in trouble, she simply whispered very quietly, "Salut, Jacques." She had learned greetings in French just to impress him. Hopefully it would work.

Mandi enterd the room and took a seat in the back. She looked around and saw the new teacher and wondered how this year would go. She had already promised herself she would try harder this year.
