Lainey was more than ready for her first lesson of the new year. As she normally did, Lainey propped open the door to her classroom and stood by the door. Not so normally though, Lainey had on glass slippers. With a great big grin on her face, Lainey waited on her class to arrive.

Erinelle walked into the classroom with a bright smile on her face. She was curious as to what this lesson could hold. She brushed a few strands of raven away from her bright blue eyes and sat down at a desk.
"Hello Professor," She greeted warmly, getting out her quill and parchment, setting up her ink so it wouldn't spill.

Ali popped his head into the class and saw the Professor stood there with a big grin on her face. He saw something reflect into his eyes and looked down and saw the woman wearing glass slippers.

"Heylo Professor Lainey," he said trying to fight back asking her about the glass slippers. Maybe they'd find out in the class.

He got down to one of the front benches and took a quill, some parchment and some ink out and waited for the class to start.

For once, Julia walked into the History of Magic classroom. She wasn't sure why, but she had been in a very thoughtful mood since the Ravenclaw team roster had been posted.

Her eyes were immediately attracted to Lainey's glass slippers, but she didn't think much of it. "Hi Professor Lainey! How are you today?" Julia greeted, beaming and hugging the professor. At least she didn't tackle her this time. She made her way over to a desk in the front of the classroom and took a seat, humming a soft tune as she took her materials out for class.

Eliza walked into the classroom "Hello Professor!"she said in a suspisous voice as she spotted Professor Lainey's glass slippers.
What are the shoes about? Oh what! Lainey is a bit loco ,isn't she?!she thought as she remembered what a sixth year had said to her.

Eliza took a seat in the middle,keeping her eye on Lainey as she did so.

Si entered the classroom "Hello Professor", looking around he noticed Erinelle sitting down at one of the desks, walking over Si dropped his bag in to the desk beside her and sat down. Turing with a big smile on his face “fancy seeing you here Erinelle”

Entering the classroom Kat said "Hello" to the professor. Then she turned to the class and saw Si and Erinelle already there. Walking up to the desk on the other side of Erinelle, she asked. "Is this seat taken?"

Sarah walked into the classroom to see if she could find anyone she knew but she didn't so she sat down alone. looking up to see the proffesor at the front of the room she smiled and was happy to be back in school and watching everyone.

Athena entered the classroom, impressed with her timing today. Where normally she would be sprinting to make it to the lesson on time, today she was able to stroll in to the room, knowing full well that she had plenty of time.

She smiled at her Proffessor, eager to learn new things in this lesson. Her smile faultered slightly, and an amused expression took it's place as she spotted Proffesor Lainey's shoes. Grinning, she said, "Good Morning, Proffessor, I love your shoes." She entered the room smiling. This was going to be a good class, she had a feeling.

Ryan walked into the room, he smiled at the proffesor before taking a seat in the middle of the class and getting out some parchment, a quill and his books

"Hello to all of you as well. I'm doing great today, thanks for asking." Lainey's grin only widened. "Don't get too comfortable in those seats there. You know we never seated for long. As a matter of fact - go ahead and move your desks to the edge of the room. We'll need the room."

Ryan did what the proffesor said and lifted his desk up, placing it around the rim of the classroom.

Julia sprung to her feet once Lainey had given them instructions. She packed her things into her bag again and moved the desk to the edge of the room. Once finished with that, she merrily skipped over to Lainey's side and just stood there, observing the class.

Eliza looked at Lainey as if she had gone crazy Is she serious? "What are we doing?Dancing or something?From the look of your shoes I'd say,cinderella?!" Eliza asked as she moved her desk to the side of the room.

Once she said it she put her hand to her mouth Why did I say that?I was just suppose to think that!!
"Sorry Professor!"

Ali listened to what Professor Lainey had said and pushed his stuff back into his bag. He heard something in the bag and hoped the ink hadn't smashed. His eyes darted into the bag, there wasn't any ink, or it hadn't spilt yet.

He got up and began to push the desk to the side of the room, and threw his bag onto the desk. He looked around, watching the other students and waited for further instructions.

Mich made her way into the classroom on time and saw her friend Athena, she said hi to the professor and joined Athena at the table, helping her to push it back like the professor had instructed.

"Eliza!" Lainey gasped, abandoning her post at the door. "What ever would make you say a thing like that?" Lainey laughed. "Of course today's lesson has to do with Cinderella. You think I wear glass slippers around for my own health? Come now. They're not that comfortable." Lainey flared her robes out and took a seat right in the middle of the floor, beckoning all of the other students to her. "How many of you already know the story of Cinderella?"

Great, Cinderella, Ali thought to himself as he watched Lainey sit in the middle of the floor. But the chairs looked so empty on the side...

He sat down, and raised his hand. He had briefly heard of the story, but he couldn't remember the details.
