Leo beamed as the professor smiled at him.Wow she is smart!. he thought as he sighed

"Well let's say a Teacher The meaning of this dream depends on your own experiences with teachers or teaching and, of course, the circumstances in your dream. The dream could be addressing your issues with authority and approval. Also, you may have a need for guidance and new learning" Leo smiled at the Professor.He had specifically picked that Symbol for the Professor to notice.

Natasha beamed at the students, "Yes, you're all correct, by jove...I think you finally have the idea! Take 2 points each for sheer brilliance."

She leaned back in her pouffe, sipping the soothing cup of tea and smiled at the students, "Now...I believe in learning from experiences, and before you all begin putting your dreams to test, shall I share a recent dream of mine? With interpretations, of course..."

Leo almost jumped from where he sat.His answer had been correct!.

He beamed happily when the Wonder,intelligent and beautiful Professor Natasha said that she'll interpret her dream.I may know what she likes! Leo thought happily."Yes Professor,please,do tell us how?"

Natasha smiled gratefully at the Hufflepuff and went on to describe her latest dream, "Last night I dreamt I was falling from the sky, and obviously I was consumed with a feeling of deep fear, my view was obscured by the rain. But just before I crashed into the ground, a ship appeared under me and I fell onto a soft green bed."

She laughed after the description and looked around the class, "A silly dream, I know..but rich in symbols and meanings. I make it a habit to interpret dreams I have in the morning, so this is what I came up with: Falling means I'll be undergoing a major struggle in life, and the rain is a sign of amassing great wealth, so I suppose this supposed wealth will help me get through the struggle." She chuckled slightly and went on, "Green represents love, and the bed means I need rest."

"So, to summarize it, based on my dream last night, my future sees a great struggle, a sudden inflow of money, love and lots of rest. It's a great contradiction, but these things have a way of working out for themselves..."

She stood up then, though she was loath to leave the comfort of her pouffe. "Now, we have covered what dreams are, symbols and the basics...so this brings us to the second part of the class. Practical study! Take our your dream diaries, which I assume you have kept updated, and choose a dream from one of them. I want you to refer to your textbook and interpret your dream and come up with a prediction for your future."

Natasha walked around the class, watching the students and making sure they were still awake, "If you have any questions, or need any help, I'm here for you."

Sini was striving to stay awake in the warm environment, the smell of hot choclate filling the air. She was so comfortable where she was seated, that it was hard to remain awake. The Professor's detail description of her own dream was so interesting. She had recorded her dreams in her dreamy diary, as she had been asked to, but she had not analized her dreams to the extent that the Professor had. She hoped that she would learn more about what her dreams meant to a detialed description.

Natalie sighed and looked in her dream diary.
Nearly every night in her dreams it was a dream where she would be either fighting with Eliza against their uncle or in the Forbidden Forest, wearing a black cloak, going somewhere to meet someone but she didn't know who.
She decided to look up "fighting"
She read then wrote. Fighting is a no nonsense dream of change, and the dream itself will have to point to the area of your life that will be changed. This signifies a change in job, or a change of enterprise if you own your own business. The degree of change can be determined by how hard you fought, and if you won or lost the fight. If you dream of others fighting it is telling you to be more careful with your financial dealings, and watch your spending.
Natalie sighed she hadn't been spending much anyway. She knew she had that dream because she was worried for both hers and Eliza's lives.

Eliza opened her dream diary and went to her last entry,the night before. I remember seeing a black bat. she flicked through her textbook and found the meaning for bats "many sorrows and grief is yours due to the evil that people direct against you,a black bat brings personal disaster."Eliza gulped,she moved on .
Rain clouds she flicked the page and read "you will be blessed with true love in your present relationship." Eliza sighed "If only!"

Darkness "after such a dream you are in danger of losing control of your temper and causing yourself a lot of hardships and losses" she continued It was pitch black...
Eliza read out the meaning for ebony(black) "Should you dream of dark ebony nights you will have much gloom in your future"

Eliza turned to her diary and read it to herself I was panicing...
she then turned back to her textbook "The feeling of panic suggests lack of control and confusion" Eliza sighed "Of course I have lack of control!"she said to herself.


Eliza sighed "So I'm going to have sorrow and grief,I will be blessed with true love,I'm in danger of losing control of your temper and causing myself a lot of hardships and losses,I will have much gloom in my future and lack of control and confusion!God that's great!"she sighed.

ooc:WOW!! I actually DID make Eliza have a dream with all that stuff in it on tuesday!!!

Leo sighed at the Professor's dream.It was really full of symbols and it was lovely like her.

Leo opened his book dream dairy and saw one of his dreams,he really liked it so he decided to interpret it.His dream was that Leo was a Phoenix soaring in the sky,as he flew more Leo saw a river which was flowing very fast,it was very clear river.Leo the phoenix landed on a cliff and from there the dream had ended.

Leo raised his hand as he had finished interpreting his dream,"Professor...I had finished interpreting my dream.I had dreamed that I was a phoenix,and the phoenix in Greek mythology is a great bird with beauty,splendor and longevity" Leo beamed as he continued "it is most likely that I am receiving message a from my unconscious that it's telling me that new life and new beginnings are always possible"

Leo cleared his throat,"Then I,the phoenix saw this river flowing really fast.It was clear too.I think that means that it may represent the flow of my energies, the path of my life, or the passage of time."

He licked his lips,this dream interpreting makes a person thirsty."Next I landed on a cliff.It generally indicates that the dreamer who is me has come to a point of heightened understanding and awareness."

"Well that is my dream,but I don't get it Professor." Leo said frowning,"C-Could you explain it more clearly to me" Leo said flashing a charming smile.But the truth was Leo understood his dream perfectly,but hearing the professor talking about his dream would be so much better.

Dis settled herself a bit more into her enormous evergreen pouffe. SHe picked up her mug of hot chocolate that sat to the side of her and took a sip. She rather enjoyed hot chocolate, especially on such cold, bitter days. It was something that actually warmed her from the inside. It gave her a good feeling as it traveled down her throat and through her body.

Next to her sat her bag. She reached in and pulled out a rather worn maroon leather bound book with old pages. On the cover sat a reared silver snake, staring up with glittering emerald eyes. She untied the feeble twine that held the book closed and started flipping through it's pages, looking, as the teacher requested, for a dream to interpret.

It wasn't long before she found one that caught her eye. This one rather bothered her and she wanted to know more abour it. In this dream, everything around her seemed to be in a sort of fog, or haze. Everything looked blurry, as if she's just woken up. The sky around her was cloudy but it was a grayish pink, like she sun trying to rise behind a wall of clouds and only managing to have a few rays peek through. In the not so distance there was a castle and she knew she had to get to that castle. But before the castle she had to get through a maze. It looked as if the castle sat in it's center. She started on her way through it when something started coming up behind her. She couldn't tell what it was but it was black and ominous. SHe knew it wasn't friendly so she started to run. But when she did she realized that she was running in slow motion and not getting very far. But before the thing could catch her or she could reach the castle, she woke up.

She set the dream diary down on an extended piece of pouffe and reached back into her bag to pull out her dream dictionary. She started flipping through it's pages, looking for meanings to the symbols in her dreams. While keeping her eyes focused on the page, she pulled out her quill and a small tablet of parchment, both of which she had purchased at Scrivenshaft's not too long ago. She absentmindedly tapped the quill point to the parchment while searching, poised to write.

Dis looked over her notes but realized she was missing a couple things from her dream so she raised her hand to ask the professor. "Excuse me, Professor, I can't seem to find anything on the color black or for something without any kind of definitive shape. See, I had something chasing me in my dream but I don't know what it was. I couldn't even tell it's shape. Just that it was black."

Kerry jotted down some notes about dream interpretations as she listened to her Professor's dream interpretation. She laughed to herself at the vast differences in the dream's interpretation.

Kerry then took out her dream journal that she had been keeping and read through them. One in particular, had stuck out more than the others because it had really shaken Kerry up. She read the dream to herself once more:

I had a dream I was running through the dark forest. My heart was racing as I was trying to escape a wolf that was powering its legs as fast it could to try and catch me. I was terrified. With sweat pouring down me and tears filling my eyes in fright, I lost site of the path in front of me. I tripped over a tree root, and before I could push myself back to my feet, the wolf was preparing to pounce on me. I remembered smelling it's foul breath and seeing it's sharp teeth as it lounged towards my face. I put my arms up to block my face and screamed in terror and just as the wolf was about to sink it's teeth into my skin, I jolted out of bed.
Then Kerry opened up her text book and began to jot down additional notes, this time trying to interpret her own dream.

In analyzing this dream, or for me - nightmare, I would have to say that:
1) The running part tells me that I'm trying to escape something
2.) Being lost in the dark forest is telling me that I'm feelig confusion, and a lack of direction
3.) A wolf is telling me that there is hostility, aggression, and sneakiness in my life. But it could also mean the wolf was out to enlighten me with wisdom-although in trying to attack me, I highly doubt this is the case.
4.) The biting is a very bad omen saying that I'm in danger of someone wanting to cause me harm.

So in summarizing I'd have to say that my dream of running through the dark forest with a wolf trying about to caputre me means that I'm trying to escape something that has me feeling verylost and confused. It is very likely that what I am trying to escape is the hostility and aggressionof another person who is wanting to cause me danger or harm. "Now the toughest part of this whole interpretation is figuring out who this is." Kerry thought to herself as she finished her notes and looked towards her next dream.

Trelane raised his hand. "Um, what happens if our dreams are just memories right now?"

Natasha walked behind the girl and patted her on the shoulder, "Good work, dear...but remember, do not let what you discover in your translation dictate the way you carry out your daily activities. Your fate is in your own hands, and it is not set...you may always change it." Some students had taken their experiences in this class a wee bit too seriously, and she didnt want to cause any undue heartache for any of them.

Sitting beside the boy, Natasha drew his dream book and text book closer to him to peruse. "Well, you're correct about all the symbols...Pheonix for longevity, the pheonix is a marvelous thing to dream about, and it also means that you have the power to change things, to change the way your life is. The River you saw represents the flow of your energies, and the state of your current life. So based on the characteristics of the river, your life should be flowing clearly and quickly."

She paused and took a sip from her teacup, "My...this is thirsty business." She said with a wink to the boy, knowing what he had been thinking before, "The Cliff, now...this is exactly what you interpreted it to be. So based on this dream of yours, your life is going to be fast flowing, clear, and you will have the power to change the way you want things to be in your life. And well, based on the cliff...you know perfectly well where you are, who you are and what you are doing."

She stood up and patted the boy's shoulder, "Excellent work, Leo."

Natasha went around to the girl's side of the classroom and perused her dream details and interpretation, "Good work...now, let's help you find the other things...The colour black represents sadness, and as for the thing chasing you, perhaps the reason you could not see it clearly was because you do not want to acknowledge it. Because to dream of being chased indicated a need to escape from your troubles, negative feelings and anything that is troubling you."

She smiled sympathetically at the girl, "Now, based on these two things, your dream suggests that you will go through extreme sadness and will try to run from whatever it is that caused it. However," she pointed at a note the girl had made on her parchment, "the sunrise you dreamt of means that new beginnings are also in store for you...so do not despair, there is always hope."

Turning to the boy, Natasha thought of his question, "What do you mean just memories, dear? Are you saying you you cannot recall your dreams? Or that all your dreams are real memories?"

"Well, I couldn't remember my past before, and when we found out about something that happened I started remembering things again, but only after I've dreamt it." He looked a little embarressed. "Did that make any sense?"

Natasha shook her head, "No no..it makes perfect sense. Sometimes your conscious mind blocks memories, but that doesnt mean they arent there. Your subconscious is just forcing you to be aware of them."

Leo almost fainted when the Professor sat next to him.He sighed as he smelled that wonderful perfume,or was it him?.Anyway,he felt good.

Leo beamed at the Professor when she patted his shoulder,Leo pushed his chest out with pride as though saying.She patted my shoulder,she patted my shoulder.

Leo crossed his arms and waited to see what would happen next.

Eliza looked at the professor "I suppose..."she mumbled.

Neva stretches on her pouffe, thoroughly unconvinced that her dreams could be of any real significance. She looks through her dream diary, her eyebrow cocked in apparent frustration. "What the heck can being chased by the spector of death mean?" she mumbles to herself, annoyed.

Natasha walked over to the girl's side and read over her shoulder, "Oh dear...there are things that trouble you, obviously, and they can be anything at all...here it just means that you'll be trying very hard to escape them, but that they willbe very persistent." She shrugged her shoulder lightly, "Well, dear, at least you were forewarned on the persistent troubles that lie ahead, and now you can prepare yourself."

She walked around the class once more, checking on the students to make sure they were on the right track. After a complete circle, she stopped in the middle of the class and clapped her hands for their attention, "Alright children...class is dismissed, I'll be posting the homework up soon."

Hearing the Professor dismiss class Sini packed up her dream diary and all of her belongings and began leaving the room. She hoped that whatever homework was going to be assigned she could complete as needed. She had enjoyed hearing about her classmates dreams, they were so interesting. She left the room heading towards her dormitory for a bit before her next class.

Neva, suddenly feeling very awkward after her ominous reading by Professor Blaylock, packs her things and stands up. She walks over to the door and exits the room silently.

Dis blinked slowly, having gotten herself into a sort of daze, and shook her head. She wrote down what the Professor said about the color and the thing chasing her, wanting to connect the proverbial dots once she was out of the classroom. She packed her two books and quill into her back and stood up, albeit it difficulty. Standing up from a pouffe was not the easiest thing, especially in a uniform skirt. She waved her wand over her used mug of hot chocolate, performing a quick Evanesco, and picked it up, placing the clean mug on the professor's desk before exiting the classroom.

Natasha made sure all the students had left and that they hadn't left anything behind. Checking the room, she extinguished the candles, shut the windows and locked the door behind her as she left.
