"Lol. You've alot to learn my dear. But it's certainly worth it. I'm Neva. Nice to meet you hun!"

Zaza looks astounded at the birds, but begins soon to giggle.

"Somewhere, over the rainbow, Bluebirds fly ..." she starts to sing as soon as the giggle fit ceases. "Birds fly over the rainbow, why then, oh why can´t I ..."

"Neva," she says thinking she knows the elder student well enough now to use her first name. She´s not much into formalities, even though she loves to make herself cute by addressing older people politely, at least when she meets them the first time. "Do you know whether we are going to have flying lessons?" She smiles at Neva. "I mean us first years, of course. You probably fly like a bird already," she adds hastily in order not to sound disrespectful.

Zaza follows Neva to a girl who looks about her age. She was curious to see would she also create some creatures, either by accident or on purpose. She felt her mouth was empty, so obviously she had somehow managed to transfigure the bits of sherbet wand into those birdies. She took another bite, but decided to keep her mouth shut while eating it.

Zaza swallowed the rest of the sherbet in her mouth at the moment when she heared the young Ravenclaw mention she´s a first year. She didn´t think she had met any other first years yet, at least not got a chance to talk with them.

"I´m a first year, too!" she says eagerly. "And my name is Zaza, nice to meet you." She smiled at Corrinna, reaching her hand.

Neva smiles to herself as Zaza serenades the birds.This girl's almost as kookie as me she thought. She bites off a chunk of wand and transfigures a nearby statue into a birdbath for the birds.

" I think they have already held one lesson dear, I went to the quidditch fiel last night to practice and I noticed a stack of leftover brooms. They were the kind allocated to the first years so unless the gamekeeper has been embezzling them I think they have been used. I'm sure there will be another class soon" she reassured her.

Zaza looks a bit disappointed at that, but she soon cheers up watching the birdbath Neva created. The birds sounded happy about the water, they chirped like they would be chuckling. Think that I created those birds! she thought to herself. She couldn´t wait learning, so she could do some magic finally on purpose. Accidents had happened before, but this one was the first one here at school.

"Do you think Slytherin will win the Quidditch Cup?" she asked proud about knowing about such activity.

Neva ponders this for a moment. " I think it depends on the team to be honest. I hope we do though. The parties after a win at Beauxbatons were amazing! They have been known to last all night. I once had to go to classes after only half an hours sleep. I had such a headache" she laughs. " I was so out of the loop during my first lesson, which was charms, that I accidentally sent the teacher flying across the room instead of my textbook. He flew into a pile of enchanted quills and got soaked in ink. He couldn't get it out of his hair for weeks. It would have been hilarious if I hadn't gotten a detention for the disruption" Neva confesses. She let out a soft laugh recalling the havoc.

"I so hope we will have an excellent team!" Zaza jumped up and down. "I mean I´m not that good at sports myself, but I surely love to watch the others play, especially if there are people I know."

She giggles thinking about the flying teacher. "What colour was the ink? And what was the original colour of the teacher´s hair?" She chuckled thinking about some uncles who would never dye their hair, because they thought of it as a `feminine´ thing to do.

"I tried out to be Slytherin Beater so you may aswell know somebody on the team" She grinned. "The ink was everchanging so he looked a sight. We were used to seeing his pure white hair and then all of a sudden he's walking around looking like Bozo the Clown"

"You did?" Zaza claps her hands so the birds startle and start flying all around the corridor.

"That would be awesome!" she beams at Neva. "If you are going to play, I wouldn´t want to miss a match." A thought suddenly occurs to her. "You mean thre´s not separate teams for boys and girls?"

Zaza giggles at the thought about a chameleon teacher. She can imagine the everchanging haircolour, and the annoyance of the poor chap.

Neva jumps as a Bird comes to nest in her hair. She waves it off with her flailing arm and gets her hairbrush from her bag to straighten up.

" I'll be sure to make the games interesting for you " She said, running the brush through her curly brown hair. " Their isn't any segregation in the teams. Us girls are quite capable of holding our own in the air. I have given many an injury to guys to prove a point on the field lol."

Zaza looks at the bird a tad worried as it flies to Neva´s hair, but chuckles after the bird was got rid of.

"That´s what I´ve always said," Zaza nods energetically. "Girls are just as good as boys, if not even better!" She was delighted the wizarding world was equal that way. She was surely going to feel at home.

" Oh, there's no doubt about it. Women are better than men " She looked serious for a moment before bursting out into a fit of laughter. "Have you ever known a woman to go to their death bed with a cold lol? Honestly, they are such wimps. They do have their uses though. Women will always need Butlers " She smirked.

"Well, I guess I like my dad more than mom, but if you look at them, there´s no doubt which one is stronger ..." Zaza grins. "I guess this world would be a jungle without boys, though, because girls can be very cruel to each other," she finishes looking thoughtful.

" I wish I had the problem of choosing a favourite parent. I wish I had parents to choose between lol" She laughs bitterly. "You can't have know that many decent people if you think all girls are out to harm each other " She winks.

"Oh, I´m sorry, I didn´t know. It´s just that my mom was again so," Zaza frowns a little "... `co-operative´ when I left here."

"Oh no, I didn´t mean all the girls!" Zaza looks frantic. "But many girls were very competitive in my former school. Like who´s got the coolest clothes and so on," she shrugged. "And my mom is a bit bully."

"It's okay hun. Never knew my father (He died before I was born) and my mother died a few weeks ago. I know some parents who are very pushy and I just count myself thankful that I never had the problem with my mother. She was my best friend"

"I know what you mean" She says, quickly changing the subject. " French girls are very competetive when it comes to the material matters and the exterior. Beaxbatons was horrible for it. I found myself getting heavily into grunge (A muggle fad) just to pee them off lol."

Zaza looks horrified. Even though her mother wasn´t her first choice for a mom if someone would ask her, she wouldn´t want her dead either. She was on her way to console Neva, but her quick change of subject made her understand she didn´t want to talk about it. She knew the feeling. If you don´t want to cry, you change the subject.

"I know grunge, but it didn´t appeal to me. I like punk, though, some old muggle bands like the Clash," she beamed as she felt there was nothing wrong in knowing some muggle music, too.

"I'm a big fan of muggle music. I never got the appeal of wizard popular music like The Wierd Sisters or Alejandre Bones. It's all too desperate for my tastes. I prefer well rooted muggle bands like R.E.M, Billy Joel, Sarah McLachlan and Counting Crows." Neva said enthusiastically as she found a subject that could keep her amused for days.

OOC! They sometimes forbid very innocent words ... Like I once misspelled a smilie and there came the *´s And Ron can use some words we cannot ... But that´s understandable, since we have the younger members- not to mention their parents, lol!

"I only recently found those punk bands," Zaza says and looks a bit thoughtful. "But it might be ´cause they sounded too grown up before ... I used to listen to HIM and such, more poplike bands, well, like R.E.M." She remembers arguing with her cousin about which one is better HIM or Green Day. "I still like HIM, but there are loads more bands to listen to now I´ve found punk," she finished tactically avoiding the talk about the wizard bands. Besides, she wasn´t quite sure the members of HIM were all muggles.

"I can't say I'm a huge fan of the punk scene. I'm a huge fan of the punk goddess, Patti Smith, however. I love her influx of poetry into her music. She's a very gritty, real artist, unlike most of the stuff passed off as music these days."She sighed." I prefer music that actually means something. That has a message. My mother enjoyed muggle Rock and Roll. She loved the music of The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, and the like. She loved old RnB acts like Barry White and Lou Reed. I never understood their appeal. They were either too sugary sweet or blatantly talentless. I'm a bit of a music connasieur myself actually. I play the piano and guitar and write m own music." She smiled, dreamily. She would dearly love to be a recognised artist in both the muggle and magical worlds. She didn't see it as possible however, as aurors ( she wanted to follow in her fathers footsteps and fight magical crime) have to keep a low profile.

Zaza nods while hearing familiar names. "Patti Smith was awesome ... wasn´t she a friend of Iggy Pop´s?" She frowns a little. "Do you like Suzy Quatro? I mean I finally got a bass guitar in summer when I pointed out that she had also played bass and sung simultaneously. My parents think I ought to concentrate on singing, since I´ve got a rather loud voice." She bursts into laughter. "I mean my father says I have a beautiful voice and my mom says I´ve got a loud one, even though also pa´ admits it´s not the quietest one," she finishes smiling.

" Yeah she was" Neva said quietly. She slid down the wall silently and sat cross legged on the floor, playing with her rainbow shoelaces. " I've heard a little bit of Susie Quatro's work but not enough to really form an opinion. Having a loud voice is nothing to be ashamed of. Whitney Houston's voice never held her back" She giggled before doing an impromptu impression of her "I wanna dance with somebody. I wanna feel the heat with somebody. Yeah! I wanna dance with somebody. With somebody who loves me! she finished before collapsing against the wall in a fit of laughter.

Neva took a few moments to collect herself before she carried on speaking. " I have a much softer voice myself. A bit like Sarah McLachlan's but with more of an edge to it. Mother always enjoyed me singing at Beaxbatons talent shows."

"Wow! That was great!" Zaza nods. "I´m not yet able to use my voice like that. I´m practicing, though. My father says that if I practice hard everyday I will sing like an angel even if he would wake me up in the middle of the night to do so."

"We could ask whether you could sing in some end of the term party." She thinks about the opening feast they had. "Well, it might not necessarily fit the program, but if we are having House Parties in the Common Room ..." she has a slight memory of reading somewhere such have been done before. "I also play lute, so maybe I could play while you sing," she looked a bit unsure. "I mean if you want to, I´m not too bad in playing the lute," she finishes firmly.

" I'm sure you're a great singer already hun. Think positive and positive things come to you. Remember that" She was starting to sound like her aunt Vianca and that scared her a little. She wasn't particularly fond of her.

"That would be fun. We could ask about holding a party for christmas where only the students provide the entertainment " She thought it was a good idea. She just hoped that it wouldn't turn into a muggle karaoke session. Neva stood up at her full height, her skinny frame creating an ominous shadow on the wall opposing her. She placed a hand on Drusilla's shoulder and said firmly, with a big smile on her face "Drusilla Black, I would love for you to accompany me with your lute. I'm sure we'll knock the entire student bodies socks off".

Zaza blushes slightly for the encouraging speech, but feels somehow even younger than usual.

She cheers up, however, when Neva starts planning their possible performance. "As long as we don´t have to dress up like elves," she grins.

Elves? Not on my watch. I'd rather dress up like Professor Vindictus and swan about telling everybody how great I am Neva thought, bitterly. "Don't worry. I won't let that happen. We'll dress up however we want. I suppose I'll dress like a hippie to match my everyday wardrobe" she chuckled. She was famous for her quirky dress sense.
