Tolkien enters the Charms classroom for the next class period. He walks to the front of the class room where he deposits his satchel. He removes his cloak and places it neatly folded over the back of a near by chair. He returns to his desk and sits down. Pulling out several flat pieces of parchment he starts to read over his notes.

Kerry quietly entered the classroom "Hello Professor Tolkien," she smiled as she greeted the professor and then found her way to her seat, awaiting her classmates who were sure to follow soon.

Emily entered the classroom and looked around. There was only one other person besides the Professor. "Good evening, Professor," said Emily. She took a seat next to Kerry and waited for the lesson to begin.

Evy entered the classroom and waved at her Head of House before taking a seat in the front row. "Good afternoon, professor!" she said happily. She then managed to open her yellow messenger bag and placed her quill and a piece of parchment on her desk. Evy glanced around the classroom distractedly, waiting for the other students to arrive.

Caitlin entered the class, smiling at Professor Tolkien. Her eyes grinned micheviously.

"Hey," she smiled at the Professor. "Are you coming to our match this weekend?"

Caitlin thought back to their first game, where she and a fellow Hufflepuff teammate had decorated his door. He still had no idea that it was them, but she couldn't help but to wonder if he was going to wear the scarf again that they'd left.

Nikki skipped into the classroom "Hello professor" She smiled as she saw Kerry and took a seat next to her.

Athena entered the classroom and looked around. There were only a few people in the room, so she knew she had arrived in class with plenty of time to spare. She found a seat and took out her Parchment and quill preparing for the class. When this was ready, she looked up to Professor Tolkien. "Good afternoon, Professor. How was your Holiday?" She asked with a smile.

Torie bounced eagerly into the classroom. Her long blond ponytail was at its messiest with straggles of hair all over her face. She pushed it back with one hand as she chose a seat at the front of the class. "Good day Professor! What are we in store for today? Something super interesting and amazing, I hope!" Her blue eyes looked at him with excitement as she settled herself into her seat.

Evy grinned when she saw Caitlin enter the room. She waved at her and motionned for her to take a seat next to her. They would hopefully have time to discuss quidditch before the class started.

Caitlin waved back at Evy, then held up a finger to motion that she would be there in just a minute. She wanted to talk to the Professor some before the game.

"Save me a seat," Caitlin mouthed.

Jeremiah arrived in the class after his Muggle Studies lesson. He took another seat at the back and waited for class to start while stifling a yawn. Today was very dull. Maybe this class would liven things up.

Evan walked lazily into the classroom, his expression a little dazed. He had had trouble sleeping after the past days' events, yet he hoped this was not going to affect his focus in class. Charms had always been one of his favourites, after all. Nodding politely in the professor's direction as he stepped along the rows, Evan chose a spot somewhere in the middle and slouched down. He rubbed his eyes, expecting the dizziness to go away any minute now.

"Wouldn't miss that match if a herd of Thretals tried to drag me from it," Jack replied with a bit of chuckle at the end. "My holiday was fine, I went on a trip to Latin American where I helped a few old friends work to clear charms and jinxs from an Aztex ruin. It's a newly discovered site and Gringotts hired me as a consulant to help on it over my holiday. Excitely work!"

Jeremiah listened the professor talk about some of the work he'd done of his vacation. He soon zoned out however. If class wasn't going to start, what was the point of paying attention?

Kay dragged her feet as she entered the classroom. The year was nearly through, and she wasn't looking forward to final exams. She plopped down into an empty desk and spread her note-taking materials out on the desk.

"Okay, time to start class....quiet please. Today will be a practical lesson. I have charmed a piece chalk to record our discussion as we go along so that we can be a bit more active. The notes will remain up until the beginning of our next lesson. So if you will bring only wands we are going to the practice area in the back of the classroom. Hurry now," Tolkien immediately led the way to the back of the room.

"Form a circle to start. That's it. The Slytherin's won't jinx you and if they do I can fix you in a nanosecond." Jack stated as he watched the student form up the circle.

Torie got up and found her way over to the circle where she stood beside a girl in Gryffindor robes. Taking her wand out of her inner pocket, she held it loosely in her left hand as she balanced carefully on one foot and waited for further instructions.

Kay picked her self up heavily from her desk and stood in the circle. She gripped her wand as she wondered silently what they would be doing.

Evy walked over to the practice area with a puzzled look on her face. She stood next to Caitlin as the students formed a circle, and waited for Professor Tolkien to give some instructions. She couldn't wait to use her wand!

"What is a summoning charm? I mean what does it do?" Jack asked when the students finished the circle.

Kerry raised her hand, "A summoning charm is a spell that causes an object to fly to the caster. Additionally, it is usually Accio is paired with an object to create an incantation similar to Accio" Kerry said

Kay raised her hand tenatively and said, "It's sort of self explainitory. It summons an object to you..." she smiled a sort of half smile and put her hand down.
