| | |  Charms: Lesson #1
The classroom is divided into two sections. One is a large area in which you will practice more advanced charms and the second is two banks of bench desks that face each other. The practice area is lined with cabinets and shelves. You see cushions, books, and other objects that are used in the course of mastering Charms for the OWL and NEWT exams. The desks look as old as Hogwarts and they are. You are standing in the very first classroom of this school. It is old and there is power that lingers in this space from every student who has entered here. The wood of the desks bear many scuffs, pits, even cravings. There are hole to hold your ink wells and a slot to lay down your quill.
You stop and look down the aisle the desks form to see the new Charms Professor. His robe and cloak are deep navy. He is seated at the ancient teacher's desk, his head bent over books and parchments. He looks up and see you, then he stands. He is a very tall wizard and he turns to write on the board behind his desk. You realize he is almost ready to begin and quickly take a seat. "Nox," She said again, and her wand went out. "Lumos." She muttered, and it lit up.

She slides the note back to Rosalie and resumes her practices.

Growling under her breath, Rosalie flicked her wand once more, and ended up causing her parchment to burst into flames.

Sure, they belonged to different Houses but they still needed to represent their school with honor. "I apologize Hepzibah," she began in a whisper not wanting to upset anyone nor Professor Tolkien. "What she did was very rude and I don't approve of it at all! But I must say that we aren't all the same. Most of us are very polite and quite friendly."

Jeremiah nearly choked over a jelly bean he had snuck out of his pocket when he heard the woman call Bucky "a pleasant little girl". He bent double, coughing uncontrollably, and punching himself in the chest to dislodge the jelly bean.
Eventually the thing was swallowed and Jeremiah felt a tad foolish, but he still couldn't suppress the grin that had crept onto his face. The woman didn't know Bucky in the slightest. | |

Fuming silently, Rosalie started to clean up her water mess with the sleeve of her silk school robes. Great, She though irritably. These stupid robes are good for nothing! Not even cleaning up water messes. Why couldn’t mum have gotten me wool?
Her eyes raised themselves from the puddle on her desk, and the black piece of parchment, to the woman who may possibly be insane. She vaguely remembered the headmistress introducing this woman to them, but couldn't recall her name.

Although she wasn't about to admit it, she did quite like the sound of Buckalina, not that she was going to start calling herself that or anything. Nodding at Hepzibah, thankful that she understood she practiced her flicking some more and glared at Jeremiah, he obviously was finding her amusing. What was he grinning at her for?
Maybe he could flick her wand straight up his stupid nose and mess around with his brain for a while. It would probably make him think better anyways.

"Oh dear Merlin! The boy is CHOKING!" Hepzibah dashed out of her seat and ran for where Jeremiah was seated. She began thumping the boy on the back trying to up whatever was stuck down. After he managed to cough up the candy and another few random smacks on the back to make sure, Hepzibah smiled, "Deary me! That must have been a scare! You poor thing!" she said patting his head gently. "If you feel in any way traumotised by your choking experience, find me and we can talk, okay?"

Brandon grew a little tired of simply flicking his wand and looked around to see everyone else actually casting the spell. He didn't want to break rules though so he flicked his wand one more time then laid it down and let his hand rest.
