The classroom is divided into two sections. One is a large area in which you will practice more advanced charms and the second is two banks of bench desks that face each other. The practice area is lined with cabinets and shelves. You see cushions, books, and other objects that are used in the course of mastering Charms for the OWL and NEWT exams. The desks look as old as Hogwarts and they are. You are standing in the very first classroom of this school. It is old and there is power that lingers in this space from every student who has entered here. The wood of the desks bear many scuffs, pits, even cravings. There are hole to hold your ink wells and a slot to lay down your quill.

You stop and look down the aisle the desks form to see the new Charms Professor. His robe and cloak are deep navy. He is seated at the ancient teacher's desk, his head bent over books and parchments. He looks up and see you, then he stands. He is a very tall wizard and he turns to write on the board behind his desk. You realize he is almost ready to begin and quickly take a seat.

Sana followed her fellow classmates to form the line. She stood first on one line. She waited for others. Somewhat she got excited about to practice the charm in the Practice area instead of classroom.

Cameron sighed; she had been quite most all of class. But she had not missed Neva’s loss of temper, which lost them house points. The tall, thin, pale girl flicked a lock of raven hair behind her as she stood, wand dangling lightly between her long fingers.

The sharp heels of her tall shoes clicked melodiously as she walked to the second line, in which it seemed that the older students had chosen to remain together.

As she stood in the line, she remembered what the Professor had said about this particular spell being NEWT level. She chuckled lightly, it would be quite entertaining to see the first and second years try and fail. Not one of them seemed remarkably gifted, but how could they be? They simply did not have the experience that would warrant exceptional performance on a NEWT, seventh year, charm.

Despite her inner thoughts, she stayed composed and silent, occasionally gazing around at the other students.

Emily was confused. What's a NEWT Exam? Is it like the ACT or SAT for wizards? No matter what it was, she knew she wouldn't be able to do the charm. The Professor had said it was very advanced. She sighed as she mentally prepared herself for deep concentration.

Erinelle smiled intrigued, and picked up her wand in her long elegant manicured fingers. She walked rather gracefully into a line, her blue eyes bright and sparkling.

She loosened her black hair from it's messy bun, and it tumbled down her back in a raven fall. She was just a first year, so what could she do? However, she certainly wasn't a weakling.

She stood in line and tossed a smile at Cammy, she was going to show her how powerful her protege was...

Brandon stood there thinking what the charm could be. It was NEWT level so it had to be a good one. He knew a slew of the basics and enough advanced charms to get him by. He sat there hoping for one he never was given the chance to learn so he could have some fun trying it out. He was guessing the charm was going to be used on the person across from him in the other line in some way.

Herlucy was starting to feel a little nervous.This charm was NEWT level and charms wasn't one of her best subjects.As she thought about this, she started to feel more determined to try her best.

Chiyo had been in the back most of the time, quietly practicing the charms the Professor had set them to do. But when he told them to form two lines, she nodded briskly and quickly stood next to Erinelle. She smiled at her, and held her wand loosely in her left hand, though she was ready to counterattack, if the need be.

She watched as the other students lined up as well. She was excited, and eager to show the Professor how well she could perform different charms.

Linda shuffled into line she was sure she wouldn't be able to do the charm at least not on her first try and was pretty nervous waiting for the Proffesor to speeck. She was rather hot around the colar again and ran her fingers along the edge trying to vent.

Cameron smiled back towards Elle, but motioned with one finger up to her lips to stay silent until the teacher instructed them otherwise. She wouldn’t mind Gryffindor losing points, but she certainly didn’t want it to be Elle’s fault.

Cameron continued to wait patiently for the Professor’s instructions.

It was a strange relationship they had, Erinelle thought as she twirled her wand about her fingers, opposite houses, different ages, yet completely loyal...

"NEWTs are tests a seven year student takes to become a fully certified witch or wizard. Like your OWLs, which are taken after the fifth year, these test will help determine what careers you might be accepted into. This spell is a Conjuring Spell. Who can name another conjuring spell?" Jack asked as he stood at the front of the lines.

Linda wasn't paticularly sure to the answer of the professors question so she kept quiet. Then she thought and raised her hand. "Incendio, professor, it conjures fire."

Erinelle raised her hand, "Orchideous, it summons flowers, and Avis summons birds" She said then realised they were probably wrong. "Oh no, they come from thin air..."She trailed off. "Are those still summoning ones?"

Zaza thought it was good the Professor explained the NEWTS, since for a moment she had been afraid they would have to transform to newts on their seventh year. On the other hand, it mightn´t be so bad ... Maybe it would be fun?

She listened very carefully. Some of these charms might be useful in the future. She had obviously used that Avis by accident herself, so that she surely would remember.

Cameron's pallid face twisted into a smile at the question and raised her hand. “Some conjuring spells would be Serpensortia which produces a large serpant to burst from the spell-caster’s wand, Orchedious which produces a boquet of flowers, incarcerous which conjours ropes to bind the opposing spell-caster, conjurous for obvious reasons, and a few more.” She recited from memory. It was good to be a sixth year.
