"Traitor!" Samea squealed. She turned on Rae and shoved her at full speed. The Headmistress stumbled backwards. "He's a nasty-wasty poltergeist, and we don't want him here. We don't!" She looked to the students for support. |

He laughed again as Samea called the Headmistress a traitor, "You see, Samea? Even as she claims to like you, she offers your position to me. How do you feel about your castle, your children, your humans now? No love lost between us and them. I've always told you that. Always. When will you believe me?" |
Nik bit the inside of his cheek as he stood up with the assistance of Headmistress Rae. It looked like trouble was brewing, loads of it and he was just lucky enough to be right there when it happened, as always. "That's not true, we like Samea. She's as much a part of Hogwarts as the students are." The moment the words were out of his mouth, he felt like kicking himself. Just shut up, Nikolai! |
"Be still," Rae warned Samea, holding up her hand. She squeezed Nik's hand before dropping it and levelled her wand at the cold wind again. "I wasn't offering you the job, I was proving that you are not worthy of it. A poltergeist for Hogwarts is much more than just a powerful bully. Samea could do that, but she's figured out what we need. She provides a laugh, a joke, a bit of trouble, and she keeps us all from taking ourselves too seriously. You can't do that. You may go." |

His cold air blew once more to the Hufflepuff prefect, "You think she's as much a part of Hogwarts as the students? That's rich. You lot constantly change. Nothing but the building is stable. Sammy's been here longer than you've been alive, and even she hasn't been here as long as Peeves. Now that was a true poltergiest. He only ever helped two humans, and that's because their goal was the same as his. To cause havoc." "What say you, Sammy? Don't you remember what it was once like? Don't you long for your days of fun? We had a blast, Sammy." |
Samea scoffed. "Samea is my name. Not Sam or Sammy. I remember better than you, and Peeves chose me over you. Go back to your big haunted house and leave me alone. I am still having fun here, and Peeves helped people in his own way." |

The lights flickered and the wind blew, and then....there was silence. |
Peeves? Another poltergeist? Nik's mind reeled with questions but he kept them to himself...for now. Should he say something? It seemed that Rae had made up her mind, and he'd already said that he preferred Samea. At least she didn't go around freezing students. |
"This isn't over," Rae called out, but it was clear the poltergeist was gone. She blinked mutely for a moment before turning to Nik. "You're okay? Is everyone okay?" |
Samea gave a scream of frustration and disappeared through the Hogwarts crest, in search of Iocus. |
Nik shrugged, his face pale, "Ermm...I'm alright...I don't think Samea is, though." He said, looking at the place where the poltergeist had gone through. "Do you think Iocus will really stay? What if he gets worse? It's clear that he's not that pleased with the lot of us right now." |
Eliza walked to the great hall to check up on the house points. The place was a mess with quidditch equipment everywhere. "What happened here?" she asked the Hufflepuff prefect. |
Nik turned to the newcomer and shrugged, "Some weird war of the poltergeists." He turned back to the headmistress and smiled shyly at her, "Well...erm. I'm glad you're safe now, Professor. I'll see you later!" with a wave at the young Gryffindor, Nik left the great hall. |
Eliza waved back at the hufflepuff "War of poltergeists?!" she mumbled in disbelief before looking back and spotting the Headmistress "Headmistress!...er..Nice to see you!" Eliza said "I'm Eliza, first year gryffindor. What did he mean by War of poltergeists ,Headmistress?"she asked interestedly. Nabs - ahem...Nik is a BOY xP |
