Jacques coughed as he accidentally inhaled some of the dust in the room. His hand lifted the mop slightly and inadvertantly he pressed the button that dispensed the cleaning liquid.

A shot of green cleaning gloop shot out of the end of the mop and landed on Professor (AMMZ)'s boots.

Whende groaned slightly, but stood up and walked back to the front, trudging through the ash and brushing bits from her ankles. "Er, right," she said, grabbed mop #2 and scrubbed with it for about two seconds. "Kay, that one cleans and, er, yeah."

After she'd used mop #3 as well, she felt like she'd never want to clean again. The only way to get rid of this mess, was with a bulldozer. "And, er, three's kinda spiffy. It squirts," she said, smiling and laughing a bit.

By the time she'd finished her couple moments shoving #4 back and forth, she'd decided that this was pretty ridiculus, but at least she wasn't taking notes. "Er, it... yeah." She couldn't really think of ways to describe them. In her mind, it was all just cleaning.

Serena had remained quiet through the introductory material from each professor. It was a bit strange to see a collaborative class, especially with three professors who had completely different personalities. However, she supposed it was just a trial type class. She did have to admit that it really was an ingenious idea. Each professor could put in their input and make their own personal suggestions.

Standing as instructed, she cautiously took hold of the third type of mop that Professor Light has described. Looking it over, she couldn’t exactly see where the fluid would come out but she decided to give it a try anyways.

Pushing the small button on top of the mop, she watched as cleaning fluid squirted out onto the floor. Picking up the mop and sweeping it over the spot, Serena was delighted to see some of the dirt disappear. She attempted it once again, and once again she was successful.

This was actually sort of fun, though she preferred the magical cleaning method any day.

Looking up as Jacques began coughing, Serena bit her lip as some of the cleaning fluid from his broom landed on the Charms professor's boots. What sort of reaction would he receive?

"Very careless," said Andi, cleaning it off with a quick scourgify. "Put it on the floor, where it belongs, kiddo. In this enlightened age, I highly doubt that inability to wield a mop will get you a wife."

Nik looked up from his doodling when someone called his name and groaned out loud at the sight that awaited him. "Seriously, Warbuck?" he grumbled, even as he got out of his seat and went on mutterring under his breath as he walked over to her and took hold of an old fashioned mop. Number one type.

"Errr....soo....let's try this then." he said, eyebrows bunched together in confusion as he took hold of the handle awkwardly and attempted to wipe off the dust on the floor. His hand itched to grab his wand and just Scourgify it all away, but he knew the consequences of that.

Jacques coughed a couple more times, uttered an apology to the professor and turned around with the mop, whacking it into the leg of a Hufflepuff. Not just any Hufflepuff, Nik Vannacutt. It was not Jacques's lucky day today.

Bucky rolled her eyes at Nik, unaware of Jacques for the moment. She was busy scrubbing the ash, or what she hoped was ash from the floor.

"With our luck, this is just burnt house elf," whispered to Nikolai as she tried not to laugh at his lame attempts to clean up the ash.

Then she noticed a stick flying from the corner of her eye. It made contact with Nik's legs and when looked up to see who was weilding this cleaning utensil of doom, Celestina's eyes grew wide.

"Uh, the mop stays on the ground."

Nick sees that another student has told Professor Light her information. So, Nick raises his hand and says," Mop #1, you move it back and forth. You put it in the stuff from the bucket and you squeeze the mop. It, eventually cleans the mess. Mop #2, has a sponge effect. So, you scrub back and forth. It works somewhat like Mop #1. Mop #3 works in the same way as Mop #2. Except, it squirts out the stuff for you at the push of a button, instead of putting it in a bucket and squeezing it. Mop #4, in my opinion, is pointless. At each time you use it, you have to replace the mop part. I like using Mop #3 the best, because it squirts out the stuff. Mop #2 is fine, along with Mop #1. But, Mop #4 is just ... err ... not my favorite."

Doyle scrunched his nose up in disgust at the state of his classroom now and instinctively pulled off his glasses and took out a hankerchief with which to clean them. He abhored uncleanliness and disorder. The students better to do a decent job of cleaning the mess. He looked down at his shoes after having finished with his glasses, removed his wand from within his robes, and cleaned them up with a quick spell which had nothing to do with the demonstration.

"Nice feedback, Nick, 5 points to Ravenclaw for sucessfully testing it out. As you can probably see, though, each mop has it's pros and cons."

Professor Light looked around the room and saw that her students were still cleaning. And not much was happening. This was to be expected. She decided to watch them stuggle for a little longer before moving on.

Nik barely had time to react, he had moved out of the way, but was knocked over by the rogue mop. Grabbing onto Bucky's robes he managed to stop himself from a really painful fall, but still found himself on his bum in the ash with Bucky strewn beside him. "Ouch...who did that? Even I know that mops stay on the ground..." he groaned.

"Thank you Professor," said Nick as he watched the other students clean.

"Sorry" Jacques said. "Seems I am a bit clumsy today". He offered a hand to Nik to help him up out of the ash and dust.

Whende laughed. Since she'd stopped cleaning, things had become a thousand times more hilarious. She doubled over, holding her stomach. Now she was laughing so hard that she fell over into the ash, landing on the already fallen Bucky's leg. Yet she was still giggling a bit. "Sorry," she squeaked between a small spurt of laughter.

Bucky flailed, her arms waving around much like two miniature windmills, in an attempt to keep both herself and Nikolai standing. Mission Failed. She landed, butt first in the ash-could-not-be-ash-but-carcinated-house-elves.

"Ew," she added, a mop still in one hand. "Alright! Jacques!"

She grabbed the mop, the bottom part in her hands, the stick pointing upwards like a sword.

"I'm sat in dirt and it's not pretty."

Then to make matters worse, crazy Whende ended up on her legs.

"I'm not your Fairy Godmother. Kindly remove yourself from my limbs."

Nik grumbled under his breath, "Sure...today he's clumsy. He's clumsy every day. Probably FELL out of his mother." but he grinned up at Jacques and took the hand he offered, "No...problem at all. Thank you." he said, dusting off his robes. But it looked to be a losing battle, and the ash was winning.

He pulled Bucky up, "Sorry...reflexes..you know?" he said with an unapologetic grin. He went back to trying to absorb the ash in his sodden mop.

"Mmm," Whende grunted. Then set off in another giggle fit. She barely managed to slide herself to the left. She was laughing too hard to notice much else.

Bucky took Nik's hand and pulled herself up. Her entire bottom was covered in ash and she dared not touch it. Who knows where it came from? Holding the mop in the incorrect way, she still held it abover her, as if she was about to strike.

"Jacques," she said frowning. "My bottom is covered in some kind of substance that no normal mop can clean. I hope you're going to do something about this."

Professor Light clapped her hands together.

"Alright everyone! Take your seats! I'm almost done, but I need to show you a few more things." Professor Light looked around the room and noticed... it wasn't much cleaner than when she started. She laughed.

Whende finally managed to control herself and slowly stood up. She was covered from head to toe is the black substance. It spattered her hair, turning her multi-colored locks an ashy gray.

She shuddered, honestly hoping that it really was just ash. "Er, right," she said, hobbling back to her seat, trying not to touch herself. It wasn't really working.

Nik laughed when he noticed that Bucky's behind was indeed covered in ash-that-could-possibly-be-elf-remains. "Yuck...you better get that cleaned, Celestina!" he said to her before rushing back to his own seat and waiting to hear what else the professors had in store for them.

Professor Light pulled out her wand and muttered, "Accio Mops!" and point her wand to the corner of the room. All the mops picked up off the floor, sped toward her, and then did an abrupt turn toward her junk pile, as she was begining to call it. She walk over to the pile and grabbed 5 different bottles of fluids, each with a sprayable top. One of them had a lable that read, "Windex", the same substance Andi had mentioned at the beggining of class.

"Alright now, moving right along. These are all window cleaners. We already touched upon how Muggles would clean without charms, using the mops and such. Muggles brew their own types of cleaning potions to clean different surfaces. All of these potions however, do the same things. They all clean off a window. some may work slightly better than the other, but other than that, there is really no reason for their to be so many different types of potions."

Professor Light paused and looked around the room, "So... can anyone tell me why there are so many types of the same thing?"

Andi looked around the classroom. If they made any improvements, the room was keeping it to itself. In fact, some of the students were even smearing the ashes and dirt (ordinary ashes and dirt, alright? Paranoid...) all over their seats and tables as they obeyed Light.

"Er, so that people can pick their favorite," Whende said, then added, in a softer tone. "This is disgusting." There were even some smudges on her face. She was about to wipe them off when she realized they were on her hands too. "Great, just great," she muttered. Now she couldn't very well touch anything with out making a huge mess.

Nik raised a hand, "Well, maybe they just have to cope with not having magic and they have to keep trying to find the best solution? So that's why there are so many...they just havent found the best solution, yet."
