"Anyhow, Whende already pointed out that in all likelyhood it probably wasn't a student, and even if everyone thinks so, it would be a good idea to be prepared for the worst." Rosalie added, her eyes finding Patrick glaring at her. Sure she felt that Lainey was up to something. After her visit to the Professor's office, it was the only thing that came to mind. Lainey was close to the Headmistress, who would be hesitant of accusing her best friend of involvement in this kind of trechery. Rosalie would have felt guilty just jumping out admiting to these feelings though. She turned to Patrick, and raised an eyebrow at him. Did he come for no reason but to get some gossip? Had he not input? These thoughts were the innitial reason she hadn't wanted to talk in front of him. |
Her newly acquired owl quite spoiled the tense mood by flitting back and forth like a hummingbird on a sugar high. Andi ignored Bartimeaus. "A student wouldn't have enough time... or magic, to do what has been happening," said Andi more to herself than to anyone else. "Every door of every professor has apparently been written over, and no one has been apprehended. Either it's a gang or..." She massaged the bridge of her nose. "Oh lord, this is fantastically... annoying." |
His eyes flitted back across the room catching Rosalie raising her eyebrow at him as if to ask 'Well say something!' he scowled again but more lightly this time and nodded. "Well basically, Professor, my story is exactly like Rosalie's. I saw the messages and agree that it's just ridiculous. I, however, don't think it's a student. I don't know what it is nor do I have any suspicions about it. What I am suspicious about is the behavior - excuse me if this might be forward Professor - of Professor Lainey." he said in response to Rosalie's prompting. He glanced back at herwith a questioning look on his face that quite clearly said 'Happy now! Was that good?'. He glanced at Whende again. |
Rosalie repositioned herself, and listened to Patrick's story. When he was finished talking, he turned back and gave her a challenging look. She grinned at him, raised her hands to the side of her face, and clapped them inaudibly. Before looking away, she winked at him. "Yeah, I'm a bit suspicious of Professor Lainey myself. But the Headmistress seems to trust her plenty." Rosalie commented and shrugged one shoulder. Her chocolate gaze lifted to the face of Professor Mao-Macdougal. "I'm assuming you know more about this than I do. Ok, fine, that is pretty much a proven fact. Is there anything you can tell me? I can't deny the fact that I'm nealy dying of curiousity." She told the woman. |

grrrr... my internet went down down down... Whende nodded as well, though she was staring absently at the wall. She didn't seem to really be listening much. "Yeah, curiosity. Not student. Very trusted." Then she realized how idiotic she must sound. Shaking her head, she brought herself back to the conversation. "Me too," she added to Patricks agreement and turned her gaze toward AMMZ for the first time since the conversation had started. "Hi, Patrick," she said, smacking herself in the head for being so absent minded for so long. |

Whende laughed. "I wasn't... asleep... exactly," she said, scratching the back of her neck. "So could you, er, bring me up to speed on what I missed?" she asked and flopped down in a chair. "After all, it must have been such a long, dramatic, interesting conversation," she added. She couldn't help but smile, though her goal had been to sound dramatic, like those actresses in the weird soap opera's her mum would watch. |
Tag knocked on the Charms professor's door, shifting to and fro on his nervous feet. He knew AMMZ thought he was a bit of a loon, but the real lunacy case involving Kay trumped his own misgivings. He wasn't about to get caught in another situation like last night's, and next time would be worse. The professors should know what she was capable of. Not hearing a response, he pressed his ear to the door. Voices. Lainey? The Headmistress? Tag hesitated, but something stayed him. He could never resist temptation. |

He noticed the noise outside of the door and immediatly fell quiet. "Sssh there's someone outside!" he said quietly to Rosalie and Whende. "Professor someone's listening at the door." he told AMMZ worried that it might be Lainey. |

"Come in," she said, snapping her fingers. The door opened sharply, revealing a rather revealing position of Tag's ear. |
When another student appeared in the office, Rosalie heaved an irritated sigh, and glared at the new-commer. She wanted to speak to Professor Mao-Macdougal alone, or at least only in the presence of Whende. Whende would hear the convorsation anyways. Turning her irked gaze to the opposite wall, she reached up a hand to finger the silver chain around her neck. On the end of the chain was a silver cross with an emerald embedded in the vertex of the two line segments (ooc:haha too much geometry, i don't believe i'm IN geometry again >.<). |
"Oh," Whende said. Her eyes flicked over to the door as another student joined them. "Hi," she said with a smile, though out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that Rosalie didn't seem to happy about having a new comer. She shrugged and absently fiddled with her necklace. |
Patrick groaned openly. The git. Some people had the worst timing in the world. If only he'd decided to listen in five minutes later. The boy was displaying his ear to AMMZ. Wrong move. Patrick was sure AMMZ would blow up at the newcomer. |
He'd caught only a snatch of muffled conversation when the door he was leaning on suddenly fell open. Tag staggered momentarily in surprise before catching himself on a chair (which was occupied by a rather huffy looking girl). He looked up to find himself the object of attention of what appeared to be a secret society meeting. Maybe they behead disrupters of their evil plan. . . the Slytherin looks capable. . . Tag straightened himself, fully aware that he'd lost all sense of dignity. Remember the mission. "I need to have a word, Professor! Our Captain's lost her marbles!," he blurted out. |
Honestly. They had to be interuppted. And by this idiot too. He really didn't look too bright. He shook his head and coughed audibly diguising a disgusted remark. |

"Stop bickering," snapped Andi, standing up. No matter how important the information Rosalie had, and it probably was pretty important, looking at the student's worried, irritated faces, if a student had, as Tag so neatly put it 'lost her marbles' then it was imperative that she be subdued. Or maybe Andi just enjoyed hexing "If you feel we cannot speak of this infront of Mr. Seven, Ms. Hale, I can cast a silencing charm on the way, so that at least the time spent finding this student will not be wasted." |
Tag was confused for a moment, unsure as to whether AMMZ had just defended him or threatened to gag and bind him. He plunged ahead. "Lainey's nothing to do with it." She never comes into the commons anyway, the staff are clueless about what happens in there. . . "It's Kay Harrison, our Quidditch Captain. She saw that message in the common room about choking, and went all nutters on us, waving her wand around and hexing the walls! She was screaming about some bloke Mithos, seeing people that weren't there. She set the freaking drapes on fire, Professor!" Tag gestured wildly. "And wouldn't let anybody leave, we were all hiding behind couches. She finally passed out. But when she woke up, Kay didn't remember a thing." That was probably what bothered him most. Kay had refused to listen to anyone about what had just happened, even Hawken. "She could snap again. She's always got her wand on her. And there's nobody around to stop her." It seemed there was nobody around to stop anyone, anything. Or they're unable to. Tag dared not say the last thought aloud. He was scared enough. |

"Kay?" Whende whispered as she stumbled out of the room. Although she'd only met her a year ago, and they'd never been much of friends, she knew enough to know that Kay would never do anything like that. Unless she was brainwashed or something. She waited for Rosalie and Patrick outside the door, fiddling with her sweatshirt and wondering what they were supposed to do now. |
"Kay was storming down the hallways last I saw. Or she could be in the common room, studying for NEWTs. . . she's always studying for exams." The very place Tag had been avoiding since in the incident, since Kay had practically taken up residence there with her own personal library. He had to cross the room to reach his dorms, and had formed the habit of crawling on hands and knees behind sofas. He was terrified that she would blow his head off, or make good on her threats against his pets. Isabella was tied securely to his bedpost, and the others were all locked in the trunk, having made bedding out of Julia's Bugs Bunny cape. Tag followed Professor Mao-MacDougal obediently into the hall with the others. If anyone could protect the Ravies from Kay, it would be AMMZ. |
Rosalie wanted to scream when she was ushered out of the office. She needed the help of one of the Professors! She was only a second year, she couldn't do anything about this alone! "Bye Whende..." She muttered as she pushed past her friend, and darted down the hallway. She was going to take this to the headmistress...she may get in trouble for entering Professor Lainey's office while she wasn't there, but didn't much care at this point. She had to talk to someone. |
"Er... bye then... I guess," Whende said softly. She stood there, scratching the back of her neck for a moment. There was a couple things she could do... but at the moment, visitig Tippin sounded funnest. She could find out about Kay later. At the time, she needed some enjoyment. Waving to AMMZ and Tag as she went, Whende skipped down the hall. |
Irritably, Andi reached out a hand, detaining Rosalie. "Ms. Hale, I must insist that you stay with me," she said firmly, looking down the long hallway. "I might be overly paranoid, but with your knowledge right now, I don't think it would be safe. And furthermore, you haven't told me all you know and I must insist that I find out." She caught Whende by the hand as well, and then nodded curtly at Tag. "Lead the way." |
