Professor Mao-Macdougal's Office The back of the door you open looks scarred, as if someone has been shooting spells at it. Indeed, now that you look closer, the scratches actually spell out something. Close the Door. How bizzare...?! The words suddenly flame a bright liquid yellow, and the door yanks itself out of your frozen grasp and slams itself shut. The women sitting at the desk barely looks up at the bang. She appears to be writing something slowly, and deliberately, and you wait while the quiet, but somehow menacing scritch-scritch of the quill goes on. Meanwhile, you take the oppurtunity to look around the room. There are a few pictures lying around the place, soft, swirling, bright splashes of color that could mean anything - a tree, a flower, a cloud, but mostly the wall is plastered with bookshelves, and they in turn, are stuffed with books. A few of them look like they are trying to bite, but can only squirm instead, fastened with black leather bands. Most are more docile, and rather decorative, with smooth spines and delicately drawn words on the covers, in all shades of dark colors. On top of the bookshelves are perched thin, golden shining things, some bear resemblance to astrolabes, others look a little like windchimes. A few hang from the ceiling, and one particular one is hung over with delicate beads - of crystal or plastic, you can't quite tell. Between them, they catch the light of the room and toss it, glint, glitter, glimmer, glisten, gleam, about, creating provocative shadows and sudden bursts of scintillating light. But professor doesn't look like the sort of woman who would choose things like these. You look back at her, still writing. She's a lounging sort of creature, with very thick, very black hair that has been pulled back into a bun, though thick waves of it fall forward over her ears. Her skin has a yellow tint, or that might be the lighting. The teak desk she is writing on bears a nameplate. The words shine the same way the scratches on the door did. Prof. Andi Mao-Macdougal Zizhen She has long sweeping eyelashes, perhaps overmascara-ed, that brush her cheeks. When she finally pushes away the paper, and holds the quill between two of her fingers, like she's smoking (you suspect that she was just drawing lines on parchment, to prolong your discomfort) the quick look Professor Mao-Macdougal gives you is like ash falling off a cigarette. She is definitely Chinese - or half Chinese, with eyes that are tilted upwards. She looks tall, but that's only because she holds herself tall and somehow manages to look down her nose on you when you're a head taller. Over the summer, Professor Mao-Macdougal has successfully kicked the smoking habit, though it has not noticeably sweetened her temper. She leans forward on the table, her eyebrows barely going up in a minimal show of interest. "Yes?" Professor Mao-Macdougal says, quietly. "May I... help you?" And there is something in her tone that threatens: this had better be good or nothing in the world is going to help you, except maybe those nice trained Healers at St. Mungo's. |
hi professor u teachin today said james as he walked around the room |
Markie entered the Charms classroom, excited that she was finally able to be there in person! Charms was the class that she was most excited to take, and said in a rushed, yet happy, voice, "Hello professor. My name is Markie. I am very excited to take your class!" |
eliza walked in "hello professor.my name is eliza longbottom-finnagan and i just want to tell you i am very excited to be doing charms." |
Nick walks into the Office. "Hello! My name is Mr.Nick Longdo. I can't wait to start Charms with you!" |
Brianna walked into the office and she looked around. This seemed exactly how she pictured it. She turned to the Professor and said "Hi, I'm Brianna Katelyn Evans and I'm a first year Ravenclaw and I thought I'd tell you that I am very excited to start Charms and I will try my best". |
Kally walked in and said "hi professor how was your summer??" |
Jacques entered the office as quietly as possible. He saw that he was not the only student who had come to visit, so he waited his turn and looked at the interesting pictures on the walls. When it was his turn to speak he said "Hello Professor, I hope your summer was good. I was just wondering when the first class would be? I'm so looking forward to it", looking into the professors eyes and smiling. |
Kay noticed that the Professor didn't want any fooling around. She made her answer short and sweet. Shorter, actually, than she planned. "See you in class." she said very quickly and skittled out of the room quickly. |
Becky walked into the classroom "hello im becky...you've probably heard this a lot already but im excited to be starting charms" |
James pushed against the heavily scared door and treads into Professor Zizhen's office. He walked unconciously towards her desk, staring ar the pictures aligned on the walls. "Hello Proessor," said politely. "I just wanted to know if you'll be teaching anything 'challenging'." he smiled as he put a strong emphasis on the word "challenging." |
Rebecca Levski walked through the Charms classroom door as it was her favourite subject but the teacher looked pacticularly uphappy as she was submerged first years. She thought it best to leave. |
Ariana wlked slowly into the classroom, and gazed in wonder. She went up to th professors desk, trying not to look nervous and said in a clear tone, "Hi, my name is Ariana and I"m really interested in charms. There's so much you can do with them it's amazing!" she smiled warmly at the professor. |

By the end of dinner, Andi's mashed potatoes had been more gravy than actual potatos. The sauce covered a multitude of threats, mostly as juvenile as May a flying cow swoop down and squash you, Vannacutt, Die, Vannacutt DIE, Down with Vannacutt and so on and so forth. Andi unfolded the letter for the umpteenth time and stared at it, feeling the color bleed up her neck and into her face. She started to scribble an answer, a scowl growing on her face as she wrote, the quill practically stabbing through the paper -- Then the first student burst in without knocking. Quote:

A few girls had already left, probably due to the look on Andi's face and the steadily more menacing tones of her voice. Quote:
Irritably, she looked back down at her parchment and started to reply properly to Nikolai's --censoredcensoredcensored-- of a father. Dear Andrei, She rubbed that off fast. Dear Vannacutt, yes, gloat why don't you. I highly suspect you bribed the headmistress - and if you did it to impress me with your also highly suspect parenting skills, I'm not convinced. Andi paused for a long moment, then wrote in a hurry, almost with her eyes closed like she didn't want to see what she was doing: I'm free next Hogsmeade weekend we can discuss this further there. Yours, Andi. |
Lee had been wandering the halls, mainly due to boredom, and had decided to nip in and visit Professor Mao-MacDougal for a few reasons. One of these would have been to thank her for turning up and helping him with the situation in halls, but the other was a bit more interesting. He was investigating. Ever since his little chat with Nik in the Prefect's lounge he was more than curious to find out if Professor Mao-MacDougal and the Count were really 'getting it on'. Lee sighed, as much as he wanted to do this he was still quite reluctant due to the Professors more than well-known reputation for rage. He raised an arm and gently knocked on the wooden door, waiting for her response, if she was in. |

Andi looked up guiltily at the sound of the knock, in the middle of dotting the 'i' in 'Andi'. She pulled herself together rapidly, tossing her head arrogantly. "Come in," Andi snapped, tying the letter up with no, not a pink ribbon - why was her ribbon collection suddenly all pink and red?! |
She didn't sound happy. Maybe she and the Count were having a slight argument. He opened the door to the office and watched as some students left. The Professor was behind her desk, naturally, and was tying a pink ribbon around a roll of parchment. Pink? that didn't seem like Mao-MacDougal at all. "Hello Professor... I'm Lee Andrez, Hufflepuff," Lee wasn't altogether sure if she actually knew him since he hadn't attended a class of hers last term, mainly due to fear. "I just wanted to pop by and say thanks for your help in the halls. The students were going crazy and without some bigger authority there i'm sure they would have continued." |
Andi stared at the ribbon and started to root through her box. Finally, at the end of it while reams of red and pink and lavender ribbons lay about her desk, she came out with a bedraggled green thing. All her ribbons were heavily charmed - probably enough to kill half the house of Hufflepuff. No one would be able to read the contents unless they were meant to. "Andrei Vannacutt," she murmured as she tapped the ribbon, then looked up at the prefect. "I'm sure you would be perfectly capable of handling yourself, Mr. Andrez," she conceded, nodding at him. "You did a good job of calming them. I'm sure I myself would have given in to the temptation to hex them blind." |
Lee couldn't help but feel slightly flattered with kind words coming from Mao-MacDougal's mouth, "Well I'm glad that you have such faith in me Professor." Lee was running out of conversation's to choose from, "I take it that that's a letter then, your boyfriend? Must be hard having to work all term and not get to see him. Maybe on the occasionally Hogsmeade trip and Christmas." Lee had just realised what he had said to the Professor, "Oh my apologies ma'am I just find it quite surprising if you were to be single," Lee said trying to butter her up. If he was going to get anywhere he needed to be in the good books, which he was sure was a short list of names in Mao-Macdougal's. |
Andi paused in the middle of tying up her letter. She straightened slowly, and turned to give Lee a long, nasty look. "I beg your pardon?" she said in the sort of voice that meant it would shortly be Lee begging her pardon. "He is NOT my boyfriend!" It sounded juvenile, very fifth grade, but Andi carried on, "What he is, is a pompous jerk and don't think flattery is going to get you anywhere, Mr. Andrez! I ought to take points off Hufflepuff for your blatant gossiping and how you got such an idiotic idea in your head I'm sure I cannot fathom. I do NOT like Andrei Vannacutt!" |
Lee's eyes widened in astonishment. If it weren't for his own pride he would of probably pee'd himself on the spot. "I apologise ma'am, I just thought... well Nik told me. I thought you maybe needed someone to talk to since you seemed a little on edge..." Now Lee wasn't one to lie, but to get to the bottom of something that was far from boring was worth a few white ones. "So I just assumed Nik was telling the truth. I'm sorry for my rudeness, i'll even deliver your letter for you when you are finished if you like..." |
Andi's eyes narrowed as she began to tap her fingers ominously on the desk. "Nikolai told you that is father and I were.... involved?" she said quietly, her voice sliding in as smoothly and noiselessly as a knife between the ribs. "I see." |
Lee nodded frantically. He didn't want to be here when Nik was summoned to her office, but he wanted to see Nik before she did, so he could give him some slight warning. He had really put the pin too far in the cushion this time, "I'm sure I must have misunderstood him Professor, I can sometimes over exagerate such gossip-ridden rumours." |
"I'm sure," said Andi poisonously, her eyes narrowing further. "And since you're so kind, Mr. Andrez, you can indeed, deliver the letter to Nikolai. Send it to his father. And tell him I do not want anything of this matter to be said to that pompous jerk. He'll gloat." Andui's face darkened even more as she considered Andrei's gloating. "Not that Nikolai would confide into his father but..." Her eyes suddenly snapped onto Lee's face, and the look in them was dreadfully sweet. "Oh, and Mr. Andrez, I don't recommend attempting to open the letter," she handed it to him, tapping him slightly on the arm. "Not if you want all your appendages to stay on." She smiled at him. "Good day to you." |
Lee accepted the letter from the Professor and looked down at it. It looked so easy to open and it was so altogether tempting. While such thoughts buzzed through Lee's head, Professor Mao-MacDougal was rambling on about Andrei and Nik and stuff he didn't really care about, he just wanted to open the letter. His attention did snap back to the Professor though, when she gave her warning of what would happen if he DID open the letter. Was she a legilimens? Lee was even more scared now. "Yes... good day to you ma'am. See you in class," Lee headed out of the door and shut it behind him,"... maybe." |
Proffessor un I was hoping that um.......... you could tell me what we would be studying. My parents promised me something If i did. Oh look at the time I gotta go we'll talk later. See yeah. |
Francesca was walking though the halls when she remembered she needed to talk to AMMZ about what Andrei said to her at the start of term. That should get a rise out of her if anything. Of course if what Nik said is true, she'd write Andrei about it and then I'd have to go throw up somewhere. She came up to the door and knocked gently. AMMZ seemed like the type who didn't like students disturbing her for stupid things but she considered this very important right now. |
Andi looked up from sorting her ribbons in surprised irritation. Was there to be no peace today? Quickly, she glanced in the mirror, annoyed to see her face was still flushed after the prefect's assumptions. Her and Andrei Vannacutt! Forsooth! "Come in," she snapped, her eyes flashing, adding under her breath, "And this better be good..." |
Francesca walked into AMMZ's office running her fingers through her hair. That was becoming a nasty little habit for her which must be stopped right away otherwise she would not have any hair left. "Professor I need to talk to you about something Andrei Vannacutt said to me before I got onto the train for this term. Since you sort of know him, I decided to come to you about this." I swear she had better not write to him about this after I leave. |
Andrei Vannacutt! Again! Andi's eyes were glinting like little sparks of fire by now, she half rose from her chair, and settled on the edge of her table instead, beginning to obsessively, compulsively sort the ribbons, letting her fingers feel the silk and the slightly purr of the spells on them. "You do realise, that since Vannacutt is not a consort, nor even a friend to me, it's rather silly to come to me about this and do something about it?" she said, a trifle sarcastically. "What pompous platitudes did he come up with this time?" |
Seeing that AMMZ wasn't exactly happy about the mention of Nik's git of a father, she took a step back just in case the woman decided to take rage out on her. Not friends? Okay that's not what Nik said so I don't know if you're hiding something or what. "Good then you won't be writing to him about what I say in here. He told me that he didn't want me interfering with Nik this term or in any future terms. Then he goes and says that I'm a bad influence on him!" |
Andi sighed, letting a few of the ribbons drop from her hands. She gave Francesca a Look. "He told you that you were a bad influence on Nik?" Andi's eyes were beginning to flash again. "Really? What a -" she caught herself in time. "And what do you want me to do about it if you don't want me to write and tell him to bugger off, hm?" She looked at the ribbons in her hand, and her face suddenly began to take on the same hue, "I'm seeing him at Hogsmeade, perhaps this weekend," she said hurriedly. "You don't want me to talk to him for you?" |
"You're seeing him at Hogsmeade this weekend? Um I think it would be best if I didn't talk to him since I called him a git after he told me to stay away from Nik. You can bring it up if you want. I don't think I can talk to the elder Vannacutt without expecting a hex from him." Fran said trailing off when she said git and her voice getting back to normal after that. It would be better for AMMZ to talk to him than it would for Fran to because Andrei probably wouldn't listen to a child anyway. |
"Hmmmph," said Andi quietly, a dark look on her face. Sharply, she stuffed the ribbons back into her box and shook her head irritably. "I'll be sure to speak to him about it when I see the idiot. Now get out of here before I take fifty points off Slytherin for irritating me and get fired by the headmistress for being unfair." She flung herself back into her chair, looking like she was preparing a long, nasty sulk. |
"Fine then." She sniffed and walked out of her office mentally kicking herself in the head. She knew that it was a bad idea to talk to her about that stupid git called Andrei Vannacutt. That didn't exactly go well. Woman looked like she wanted to throw daggers at me actually. Whatever. She started to wander around the school thinking of various things. |
Alicia stepped in and looked around carefully "Hello, my names Alicia, Cranberry and i'm a first year Hufflepuff, and i would just like to say that I am very very excited to be doing charms!! They are among my favourite sunjects" she smiled warmly and her voice was level with a hiss of cold as Alicia tried to be level with Professor Mao-Macdougal. |
He closed his eyes for a moment and a grin spread across his face. He thought hard and understood what she meant and turned around. He waved and gave a brief smile to Lee and walked out of the office. |
Nicole knocked on the door, and then slowly walked into the room. She let out a big sigh and began to speak. "Hello, proffesor. My name is Nicole, and I'm a first year in Gryffindor. I am looking forward to taking charms. It seems like a very interesting and important class." Nicole hoped to be get on good side. After what she had heard about the proffesor, she had carefully chosen her words. She was very, very nervous. |
Quote:
She paused and then snapped at the girl, "And next time, knock before entering." Quote:
|
Sean walked up to the professor's office and knocked. After told to come in, he walked in and said, "Hello Professor. My name is Sean Davidson and I am a first year Ravenclaw and I just thought I would come introduce myself before classes actually start. I am looking forward to Charms very much. Have a nice evening." |
Hi! Walked in and Say: Hi, I'm Amber a First Year from Ravenclaw! |
Joanna walked in,"Hello Professer, i am Joanna Strittmater...1st year Hufflepuff...i just wanted to know when my first class is. Oh and i wanted to get introduced before class...."She smiled. |
Nik trudged into the Professor's office behind her. There was a scowl fixed on his face and his heart was beating a mile a minute at the punishment he was sure to receive. All because of Lee and his big fat mouth. The office was teeming with students, so he just hung back and waited for AMMZ to clear them all out before dealing with whatever it was she wanted to deal with him. |
Tia stared at the door for a second before raising an apprehensive eyebrow. She wasn't exactly sure what to expect from the Professor herself, if the door reflected her personality. She muttered something inexplicable under her breath and, one eybrow stil lraised, leaned forward to knock at the heavily scarred door. |
There were several new students in the room when Nikolai entered. Swiftly, Andi proceeded to get rid of them... Quote:

"Your first class will be when I choose it to be, thankyougoodbye," snapped Andi. She was rather sick of people introducing themselves to her especially when she mostly had no interest whatsoever in them. Very few caught her interest or showed any talent. After ushering them away, and ignoring the knock on her door, Andi settled back into her chair and eyed the boy before her. Quote:

"That bloody -- I mean Mr. Andrez informed me that you said your father and I were... getting it on," she said, giving the last few words a poison drip of disdain. "Let me assure you that this is most certainly untrue. Your father cannot abide me," there was a slightly pang there, "and I most certainly detest him. And frankly, I don't think he's bringing you up well at all. You get into fights, you bully others - and that old goat is even trying to deter Ms. Clairmont from being your friend as a bad influence. Hah!" |
Nik winced at her use of that disgusting phrase, "I assure you, Professor, I never uttered those words. Nor do I want to. The very thought of-" he broke off and shuddered. "I really do not care what my father is doing and whom he is doing it with. As for bringing me up...HAH! I doubt he ever thought about it." He pointedly ignored what AMMZ said about his friendship with Franchesca, as that was a rather confusing area right now and he didnt wish to dwell on it overmuch. |
Andi snapped her fingers. "Precisely! Even without trying, Vannacutt manages to make a mess." Her voice was utterly lacking in sentiment, sounding rather more like a jeweler checking a coal that could be a diamond, when she added, "You've got talent, Nikolai, but you're irresponsible, undisciplined and you use your looks to get out of things. Say what you will about Andrei Vannacutt," and she ought to know since she was the one saying most of it, "he is talented and disciplined." Even though he's as responsible as a rabbit and uses his good looks like a pretty girl at a dance. |
Tia scowled to herself - If her knock was going to be ignored, and so was she, she was pretty sure she didn't want to meet this Professor, especially since she had taken out time just to walk over here. She almost turned around to leave, then decided against it. She knocked loudly again, hoping very much it would annoy the Professor to the extreme, then strode in - Well, the Professor couldn't say anything against her, seeing that she had knocked - Well she had. "Good morning, Professor," Tia said in overly sweet tones, throwing the boy a look. She realized, a second too late, that she seemed to have walked right into something she ought not to have. "You would definitely want to know me," she said, suddenly siezed by a rather reckless mood - Strange what being ignored could make her. But as she looked up at the Professor, she was sure this was going to cost her in house points. Maybe even more. Oops. Wrong Move. |
Nik stared at the woman in confusion, why in Agrippa's name was she singing his father's praises? "Are you suggesting that I...emulate my father's behaviour?" he asked uncertainly. It did not seem like something AMMZ (of all people) would suggest. |
Andi's eyebrows went sky high and her voice suddenly acquired the sweet drip of arsenic. "I would definitely want to know you, you say?" she drawled, a smile spreading across her face like a pool of blood. "Is that so? How... presumptious of you." She beamed. "Ten points off Gryffindor, and close the door behind you when you leave. Thank you very much." Quote:
|
Quote:
She took several steps towards the door, before stopping, her hands on the handle. Then she turned around again, an acidic smile spreading across her face. "I'm Tia Ray, by the way, Professor," she said, bowing, before hurrying out at once, fully aware that she had gone too far, careful to close the door behind her - a little too loudly. It wasn't her fault - Honestly, It wasn't. |

He snorted at what the woman said about his father, "Why you trippin' on me?" he chuckled to himself at the odd sounding words and went on, "It's not like I'm about to idolize the man anytime soon, there's no reason I'm going to want to act like him." |
Andi waited till the idiotic girl had left, slamming the door before returning her attention to Nikolai. She looked oddly at him. "Have you hit your head recently?" Andi inquired. "Hard to believe as this is, Nikolai, but your father does have some good points. Though I'm hard put to find them myself..." she sniffed. "Do me a favor, quash every damn rumor circulating about - there aren't many, are they? - about your father and I." Andi studied the petulant boy in front of her, remembering that smug letter Andrei had sent her. Yes, daddy dearest, he was. "Oh, and have you delivered the letter to him?" |
Nik blinked in confusion at her question, "My head? No...but I did stub my toe in the Great Hall this morning. It was excruciating, I tell you!" He promptly shut up at that point, wondering why he had even informed her of that non-event. At the mention of the letter, he unconsciously patted the pocket where said letter was currently sitting collecting lint. "I havent had a chance to owl him yet. That gi- Lee just gave it to me before you ordered me to come here." Recalling the reason AMMZ had ordered him to come here and all the events leading up to it, he acknowledged her request, "Trust me, Professor, if I hear anybody so much as mention the Count and you...er...getting it on..." he blushed at the phrase, "I will squash the rumour immediately. Literally..." |
Andi almost smiled. "You do that. And see the nurse about that toe, I think it might have affected your head." She nodded at him dismissively. "Thank you, Nikolai and good day to you. Happy squashing." She leaned back in her chair, more relaxed and started to shred a piece of paper. |
Nik watched her, uncertain of how to leave, was he to smile? No...that didn't seem quite right with her, and instead took her advice to try to emulate his father. Andrei had always told him When in doubt, revert to good manners. So he executed a little bow, "Have a...well, acceptable day, Professor." he said with a mischeivous smile and quickly fled the office before she could hex him. |
eliza stood up "have a nice day professor." she said, leaving |
"Hello-proffeser..I really liked the class today.said Amanda shyly. |
After knocking lightly, Lauren entered the office after a thoroughly enjoyable Charms class, still a bit jittery from enduring her first class ever at Hogwarts. She had expected the worst from a teacher by whom many were intimidated and, quite frankly, terrified, but was only disgusted by how her classmates treated the professor with such sass. Professor Mao-Macdougal was actually extremely intelligent and competent and, as Lauren could sense, only wanted her students to do their best. The amount of house points she shaved from their totals told her as much - Professor would never settle for mediocrity or stupidity, only hard work and success. As Lauren scanned the wall-hangings and bookshelves, the shining items and prisms of light, she felt as thought the furnishings didn't fit the person she expected Professor Mao-Macdougal to be ... and yet, watching her professor scribble furiously on parchment at her desk, she seemed right at home. It was almost as if the room had been built and furnished around her. "Umm ... Professor?" Lauren looked expectantly at Professor Mao-Macdougal. Perhaps she was waiting to be verbally acknowledged or, at the very least, for the professor to glance in her direction. Waiting a few moments, she realized neither was going to happen and wisely continued, "I...uhh...I, I was just wondering when our next class was going to be." Lauren took a deep breath. She got so stressed speaking to her professors outside of class. "I just, I want to get a headstart on our homework assignment and would love to know when you are expecting us to turn it in." Phew. Getting her question out of the way, Lauren stood in anticipation of a response. OOC: And, to add on to my character's question, do we private message the essay to you? Or post it somewhere? Forgive me, this is the very first time I've attempted to do any sort of RPing, let alone RPing with homework involved! ;) |
natalie knocked on the door of the professors office and waited for a reply. |
Lee rushed to the Professors office for a second visit, too soon a second visit but he needed to show her. He opened her office door without knocking or without waiting for a response, "Ma'am i'm sorry to burst in but you should see this..." Lee placed one of the pieces of parchments flying around the school on the Professor's desk. Lee was scared of the reaction, but stood still waiting. |
Quote:
OOC: I posted instructions on the homework board, so you can check there. And no problem! You're going about it the right way, you're a good RPer so far as I can see *painfully honest, or just plain painful* Andi turned to look at the Slytherin girl, her eyebrows raised. The half written letter lay on her desk, along with some old photos. Andi had been sorting through them in preparation for her next lesson. In the event of being completely unable to find a fairytale in the Brothers Grimm book that didn't involve beheading and the like, she had decided next time, she'd teach something simple and easy: how to charm photographs to move. She had been looking through her collection to find a few, mostly of her younger days, and of her parents and various relatives. Right now, her hand rested on one ancient shot, taken when she and her four-months-younger cousin Karl had been about three years old. Little Andi had a big smile on her face, black hair blowing about, and a huge bouquet of peonies. She was near Karl, who had a smaller smile. There was no sign of the grouches they would become. Andi smiled fondly, remembering the last words she and Karl had exchanged. "You bloody git!" "You miserable shrew!" She rather missed her cousin. "The next class will be when I choose it to be!" she snapped, shaking hair out of her eyes. "As for the homework, rest assured I have posted the requirements on the homework board outside. I believe you possess all faculties? You can read? Yes? Very good then." Quote:

"Poison-pen writers," she said contemptuously, "are the lowest of the low. Bring this to the Headmistress. Inform her of it. The rest, I will sort out myself..." She steepled her fingers and smiled at Lee. "Thank you indeed for bringing this to my notice, Mr. Andrez. I assure you, the perpetrator will be... sorry for this." |
Nik had decided to change the course he had made when he had left Francesca in the hallways. He was too worried about AMMZ's reaction to go rest in the common room so had decided to go for another talk with the woman. But upon his arrival, he saw an all too familiar red-head walk into the professor's office. His eyes narrowed with suspicion and he went up to knock on the door, waiting for the brash professor to allow him entry. |
Andi's brows drew together in a frown as yet another knock sounded on her door. "Come in," she said, starting to clear away her photos and pieces of parchment. |
Nik entered and nervously avoided looking at the formidable looking professor. "Erm, Professor, I'm afraid something rather...catastrophic has occurred." Shuffling on his feet, he decided to just out with it, "I'm afraid some letters have been written by unknown people who call themselves Mustard, Ketchup and Apple or something equally stupid. Anyway, they mention you...and my father...I've burnt the ones I've found, but I think there are more around." He stood there, rather pale as he pictured the grotesque ways that AMMZ would choose to torture him. |
Andi raised her eyebrows. She was calm. Almost too calm. Painfully, nervewrackingly calm. She was calm in the way the rope hanging between a gorge full of poisonous snakes is calm. Andi smiled at Nikolai. "Mr. Andrez," she gestured at Lee, "has already been kind enough to deliver some of these childish letters to me. I recommend him take them to the headmistress." |
Nik nodded slowly as he took in her teeth while she smiled. They were nice teeth, but she would probably be able to chomp off his head of she wanted to. He swallowed nervously, "Yes, Professor...I believe that would be just the thing to do. Well then, if you have no objections, I'll just....see you!" he hastily fled the office once more, eager to be out of reach of the smiling serpent. |
Quote:
"Yes, I can read," she said, her voice cracking halfway through. She was scared of this teacher, reduced to physical shakes and a dry mouth in her presence, and yet she was fascinated by her demeanor, her office, and her life. She had never met anyone quite like her. "Uhh...okay, so I, um, I'll check the homework board. Thank you for your time." Nodding at Professor Mao-MacDougal in a final thanks, Lauren ducked out of the office with her head down, releasing a large breath of air once the door shut behind her that said she was never so glad to be swallowed by the crowd of students in the halls. OOC: I'd say painfully honest. Though, if she were my teacher, I'd probably have cried by now! lol, Thanks so much for your help - I really appreciate it. :flowers: |
Lee nodded, laughing so hard inside, "I will do Professor, and please do not worry. I'll find the person who did this and will be more than happy to give you first shot at them." Lee headed out of the office with the letter in hand with the intention of going to the Headmistress. |
Jenni thought about earlier and decided to visit AMMZ. She patiently knocked on the door and waited, not wanting to annoy the teacher anymore. |
Andi gritted her teeth, feeling a temper begin to brew somewhere under her ribs and work it's way up so she had to clamp her teeth tightly together to keep the scream inside. "Come in," she trilled, every syllable soaked in poison. |
Jenni slowly opened the door. She knew about the professors temper and now had to be careful. "Sorry to interupt Professor but I wanted to talk to you." |
Andi's eyebrows flew up. They had flown up so often in the course of the day, and her lessons that she was considering having them anchored there. "What is it now?" she drawled, playing with some ribbons. "Come to demand more housepoints?" |
"No Professor I haven't. I have come to apologise for my behaviour in class today. I am sorry about it. I am just getting used to being with people and well, I don't think I am doing a very good job of it," Jenni smiled weakly. |
Andi snorted. 'Absolutely' was what she had felt like saying - though who was she to talk? Andi was possibly the second most anti-social person on earth, with her cousin Karl Redde-Macdougal coming first. "Apology accepted," said Andi tersely. |
Brittany wanted to talk to the professor for a minute about class so she knocked on her office door and waited for an answer |
Andi took in her breath with a sharp hiss and wondered just how much this job was worth to her. Oh the pleasure it would be to allow her temper to flare just for one glorious moment and purge every single student from the earth. Of course when she calmed down, she would probably be sorry. Probably. "Come in," snapped Andi. |
Brittany could see that the professor still had the same temper that she had in class. But she came in anyway. She tried to smile but she just couldn't because she was so afraid. "Um professor I just wanted to tell you in person that I am very sorry for what happened in Class today. I am one of the students that you took points off of for talking But I didn't know that you were in there Because I stopped immediately after you came inand I know that this is not an excuse I just wanted to let you know that I was sincerely Sorry." Brittany finished not making eye contact with her. |

Andi bit in a sigh. Did they think she held grudges? Never forgot nor forgave? Well, alright, so maybe she did hold grudges, and maybe she had never forgotten, nor forgiven the little brat who had shoved her down when she was five (and if she ever saw that punk again...). But still. "Apology accepted," she said curtly. "I'm sure you're not the only one who has talked in class." Just one of those dumb enough to get caught... Quote:

"You are welcome Professor," Jenni smiled before leaving, closing the door behind her. |

Knocking on the door before slowly pushing it open Thump walked into the classroom and spotted Miss Mac-Dougal sitting at her tabel."I just wanted to say professor,i profoundly enjoyed you class today, that being my first ever wizarding class you've made me very anxious to take more and i cant wait for you next one. You're a great teacher and i can honestly say i learned alot today." said Thump and then taking a step back waitng for the teachers response hoping he wouldent get points taken away for coming to her office so late. |
Andi was beginning to wonder if there was a schoolwide conspiracy to discomfit her. Last term hadn't been too bad, though nicotine cravings had rendered most of the term a hazy sort of blur. But this year - ye Gods - she had to deal with Andrei Vannacutt, letters, poison-pen letters, Andrei Vannacutt, classes, praise for her teaching, Andrei Vannacutt... Andi shook her head. "Thank you," she said, a trifle ungraciously, highly unused to not being able to use sarcasm or insult. "Don't let me detain you." |
"Ok Professor hope to see you around and i cant wait for the next lesson" and with that Thump rushed out the class looking back just once to make sure that the professor wasent going to hex him. |
Cassandra knocked on the open door of the Charms professor's office. She peeked in and said in a low tone "Professor, please let me first apologize for barging in on you, but I thought you should know... I found this on the Slytherin table in the great hall: Quote:
I apologize that our first one-on-one meeting had to be this, you may already have knoledge of this, but I thought if you didn't, you should know. I really enjoyed your class and look forward to the next." Cassandra stood in the doorway, hoping not to get hit with a knockback jinx. She liked this professor and prayed she did the right thing in showing her the notice. |
Andi picked up the parchment and read it through, agonizingly slow. Then she looked up and gave the Slytherin girl a long look. "Thank you," she said finally, tearing up the paper in slow, alarming strokes. "I'm already aware of this." Her eyes were glinting again, shining like the spark travelling towards the dynamite. |

Loosing the professor on her way, lua arrived nevertheless outside her office promptly after class. She knocked twice on the door and waited for her to be called in. |
Tabby had come straight from his second lesson with the Professor and, seeing as she had left before anyone else, he thought she might be in her Office. He knocked a couple of times and patiently waited. |
Lee would have liked to have skipped down the hall to a punishment in first year, but he no longer was a first year, he was a seventh year. He felt more ashamed at getting caught with a Prefect badge on his robes. Terry would have been disappointed, she always managed her pranks properly. Lee had noticed Lua and Tabby already outside. Lee assumed they had knocked and waited. |

Tabby heard the Professor and suddenly lost all of his guts. He wasn't in trouble or anything so he indicated the door to the Prefect behind him. |

Lua chuckled inwardly at the sight of the professor holding a wand, did i really scare you this much?. Lua couldn't help but wander. Lua raised an eyebrow at her comment, was this professor dellusional? "You asked me to come see you after class professor" she answered. When the professor was busy speaking to a young slytherin, lua leaned in closer to lee, and whispered "I need to speak to you about last year, something has come up, i need your help", lua pulled away brushing her hair and acting innocent. |

"Oh yes, that," said Andi wrily. "I'd like to know why you shot that spell at me, using Nikolai's wand, and attempted to blame it on him." She sat back in her chair boredly, waiting for a doubtless extremely weak excuse to cover up the fact that she was probably just another idiotic Gryffindor who thought it would be cool to disrupt classes. |
Knocking on the door, Tia waited outside the office as she watched everyone who had been caught in class while mischief-making go in, one by one. She would have strode right in, but she decided to be patient, even though she was seething with rage. |
Lee raised his eyebrows when Lua quickly whispered to him before she entered the office. I wonder whats up Lee thought, I hope shes ok. Although this would be hard to believe after she finished her one on one with Professor Mao-MacDougal. He decided to take a visit to the Headmistress' office and come back later. |
