Lainey shrugged her shoulders. "I can't agree or disagree with any of you. I think Merlin was mighty powerful, but again, I also think our hearts weaken us to do silly things and fall hard." Lainey sighed and kicked her feet a bit, launching some bubbles at the nearby students.



"History tells us that the Lady of the Lake learned from Merlin. She learned what she needed... then crushed him rock. Another story says she trapped him in a tree. I want you all to get into small groups, say 3 of 4 of you, and come up with ways you would free yourself from under a rock or tree. This of course, is assuming you still have your wand. Ten points to the most creative group!"


"I'll let each group share at the end of class..."

Prancie looked around for a couple students to form a group.

Lia looked around anxiously, wondering who would be willing be in a group with her.

Hmm how woud i get out of tree thought Thump as he looked around for some other students to form a group with.

Rave looked around the classroom until she saw a small Ravenclaw boy. "Want to start a group?" she asked silently swimming up behing him.

AJ looked around, she saw Rave pairing up with a little Ravie boy, and another loner Slytherin girl. she wondered if either of them would pair with her.

katie looking around worried she said to her self " i wounder what group im goin to be in ..." still she looked around

Phoebe turned to the ravenclaw girl called Katie and said, "Can I go with you" She then turned to Alicia telling her to come over into this group.

Alicia spotted Phoebe and Katie- her friends, and swam up to them, "Hey guys!!! Group?" she said brightly. "So whats our strategy?" she said, smiling. her birght red togs were outstanding in the bubbles, and her hair was in a neat ponytail.

Katie said to alica "sure, im thinking of a stratagy. do you have one at the moment ?" katie said it while playin with the bubbles

Phoebe smiled back and nodded. "Sure, why not. Strategy...none yet" Phoebe thought for a while. It should be creative...hufflepuff could do with th points Then she got an idea, it wasn't too good. "Maybe I would dig a hole in the ground and tunnel through making it big enough to be comfy. I might also make food and drink for me. Tunnel away, far away from Nimue." She then turned to see what the others in her group thought.

Alicia squeled and clapped "Awesome!" she said happily. "I was thinking of getting a pocket knife, or an axe, and maybe accio it towards the tree, so it might chop right through, but then you could cut open the thick layers of bark, and escape." she said meekly. "That isnt a very good strategy though" she blushed.

"that's good. We have our wands which I forgot so maybe we should think of something using them. Phoebe tried to think of another idea but couldn't. She looked to see if the others had anymore ideas.

"Well, the Accio strategy is labelled using a wand, but we need way more strategies if we want to enter creativity, or maybe even earn some points. 2 Strategies gone, some more to go!" Alicia said happily, looking over at Katie her strategies and thoughts.

Katie told them " i read in a book about a spell its called err now i cant think of it just wait a minute why i think its was so long ago " she thought to her self " well maby a spoon " she said that as a joke

Alicia looked quizzically at Katie. "A spoon?" she said lauhging a little at Katie's joke. "A spell which can get you out of a tree or a rock which youre stuck in, or under? I'm sure we'd love to know that" Alicia said enthusiastically. "Do you remember it? We could try it out sometime" she said, smiling.

Katie jumped " i think it was Dissendium im not sure but i think it is "

Alicia looked puzzled her a moment as she tried to rememeber the spell. "I think i've heard it somewhere, or read about it, I think it means to part, or to seperate, or something?" she said quietly, thinking. "Well, whats another theory? I suggest Phoebe's strategy is very good, especially if youre wandless, Dissendium might not work on that, i'm not quite sure, I dont think there are nay spells to get you from out of a tree or stck forevermore in, or under a rock?" she said glumly. "From what I know" she quikly added. "Anything else?" she asked the group."Dissendium's a good theory by the way, butI'm not quite sure" she added.

Prancie was still looking for some partners

"Hello, my name is Michael Cutler, you want to be in my group?" Michael said to a girl he saw was still looking for a partner.

Prancie smiled happily, "Sure! Oh, I'm Prancie." She said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Prancie," said Michael, "So lets get started, what do you think happened to him? I always thought that Nimue exoplioted is elf/spirit blood and wove him into the tree, which would obviously have no escape."

Patrick turned around in the water and spoted a girl and a boy without anybody else in their group he headed over. "Hey. Can I be in your group?" he asked. "My name's Patrick by the way," he added.

Turquoise Noire saw the other students group up, looked around to see if there were any left partnerless and came to the conclusion that there weren't. She saw three other students form a group and timidly swam to them, head halfway under the water.

"Aye, hello," she said to Prancie, Michael and Patrick. "Can I join you? I don't have a group.

..My name is Turkey."

Without waiting for a true answer, she joined their circle and blew some bubbles off her nose.

"I think that if I were trapped under a rock, and was a skilled witch, I'd Transfigure the rock. Say, into a caterpillar. It's much easier to free yourself from under a caterpillar than it is to wiggle out from under a rock, don't you think?"

She looked hopefully at the others to see if they accepted her suggestion.

Patrick nodded silently at Turkey's request and said "Yeah maybe."
