"Thank you," said Andi, slowly sitting down. She glanced at Lee, and raised her eyebrows, wondering how to proceed. Believe it or not, she had never sent anyone to the Headmistress's office before, preferring to deal with it herself.

Unfortunately, her method this time would be inadvisable (murdering a student slowly and painfully is a sure way to get you fired).

"To cut a long, chaotic story short, Mr. Andrez disrupted my class with... graffiti. He charmed chalk to write..." Andi's cheeks suddenly flamed here. "Andi Mao-Macdougal Zizhen and Andrei Vannacutt forever. I managed to maintain the peace of the class, but only by the skin of my teeth."

And her metaphorical teeth had been metaphorically tearings throats out the whole lesson.

Rae tapped a quill on the desk and stared at Lee. "Mr. Andrez has a real problem with authority and has only recently shown his complete disdain for me, my staff, and the way the school is run. I'm not against the idea of letting him compare our methods to that of say... Beauxbatons?" She gave Andi the eyebrow. Hopefully, she'd play good Auror to Rae's bad Auror.

Andi raised her eyebrows back at Rae. She got what Rae wanted, but she certainly wasn't used to playing the good cop at all. "I'm new here so I can't say how much trouble he's caused over the years by spreading," she glared at Lee, "false and completely untrue rumors. But he... he seems to have talent, very much of it. And he's certainly a good prefect." Good at causing fights, that is. "It'd be rather a... pity to see him go."

Lee frowned, what on Earth was Mao saying? Was she alright?. He wouldn't have transferred to Beauxbatons anywayz, he would have left school altogether since he was of age, but he did want to have a go at his NEWTs.

"Perhaps, but if we can't satisfy him with our efforts and if he can't follow the rules and behave, he has to go," Rae leaned back in her seat and shrugged. "What do you say, Mr. Andrez... Beauxbatons or Durmstrang? I know the Heads of both schools, and it would be easy enough to get you enrolled."

Hip hip hooray and break out the champagne bottles!

Andi coughed slightly to hide her less-than-Good-Auror elation. For some reason, she was finding it rather hard to let go of the grudge, possibly because Andrei Vannacutt was involved and she really, really shuddered at the thought of what would happen should he find out.

"A pity to have him go," she said quietly. "His NEWTS are coming up, this could seriously disrupt his studies."

Lee smirked, "Durmstrang looks cosy, Nik told me all about it. I'd rather stay here though." Lee then turned to face Mao mostly, "Speaking of Bulgaria it would be a pity if Nik were to send an owl to his father about all of the happenings," Lee shrugged.

Andi's eyes narrowed as she paled. Was he blackmailing her? Would he write to Vannacutt and twist the facts? She wouldn't put it past him. She wouldn't even put it past him to be the mysterious note writer at this point - though that might have just been hysteria.

"He can go ahead," said Andi, lying through her teeth. "I'm sure Andrei Vannacutt is entirely aware that I have no encouraged any of this in the slightest."

"Lee, I'd appreciate it if you would continue to address me and not Professor Macdougal," Rae said sharply, leaning forward and steepling her hands on her desk. "The personal lives of the professors are not the concern of a child such as yourself, and while you may think it an amusing game to muddle about in things you don't understand, you are playing a dangerous game. Now... you'd prefer to stay here, you say? Let's discuss that. I have conditions."

"We are talking about Andrei Vannacutt here aren't we?" Lee replied to Mao after she claimed he would see she wouldn't have encouraged it. His attention returned to Rae when she said... Conditions? Oh joy. "What may these be ma'am?" Lee said not daring to say the C word a second time in her presence.

Andi shot Rae a slightly rebellious glare. What personal life?! There WAS no personal life to speak of, with Andrei Vannacutt! She leaned back in her chair, waiting to hear what Lee Andrez had to say for himself.

Rae folded her arms on her desk and eyed Lee specutively for a long moment. He had been such a nice boy too, to have turned into this sort of boy. Was it too late to save Lee from ever being anything remotely human again? "I demand respect for myself and my staff. I want you to spend the next four weekends in the library doing research on the charms and wardings in place on Hogwarts. Write me an essay, complete with what you believe is lacking in defensive measures. And I want you to write an official letter of apology to Professor Macdougal for disrupting her class. Do you agree?"

"I will agree to writing the apology letter to Professor Mao-MacDougal ma'am but I won't write the essay. The matter of fact is no matter how many essays I write on the school's charms and such Voldemortist still got in. I had to duel him to save the book from him and so did many other students. I hear that Headmistress Rae only arrived at the scene by coincidence after taking a midnight stroll with Professor Branxton," Lee took a slight breath.

"You expect me to be happy with the way the school is run after that? I didn't receive any well done's or thank you's or even visits to the Hospital Wing for my courageous behaviour and your lack of knowing. I told I don't know however many Professor's of my theory and it was almost completely accurate, give or take a few details. I am sorry ma'am I cannot accept any such punishment until you can admit to yourself that you and your staff were ignorant of the events happening last term and should have acted more to constant students bickering of clues and such.By the way, students prank? Thats how you explained the Common Rooms, it was obviously far from it,well to me at least," Lee sighed with a raised eyebrow, he had said a lot and hoped the Headmistress didn't see him as rude for expressing his opinion, but the truth was the truth.

Andi could have thought up a few other punishments, only none of them would leave Lee with any eyes to read the books on Charms, nor - in fact - any arms to take them off the shelf anyway. She sighed, supposing it would have to do. So long as the bloody boy didn't take it upon his malicious, stunted little lack-of-soul self to write to Vannacutt with an account of events. And she hoped the headmistress didn't question her either. "May I still take points off Hufflepuff?" she inquired with a twisted little smile.

"The point of the essay is for your benefit, not mine. I want you to realize that every concievable protection has been placed on this school, despite your claims that we could do more. I will not explain myself to you further, except to agree... yes, I did stumble upon Voldemortist and you students last term. It was bad luck, but perhaps I would have been better prepared if I weren't suffering from the effects of that cursed necklace."

Rae tapped her chin. "You did do a good job in defending the school, and I'm sorry if you feel that wasn't expressed to you. But... your mind is made up?" She retrieved a scrap of parchment. "I'll have the train meet you at Hogsmeade this weekend if that is what you desire."

Lee walked forward and positioned himself on the seat next to Professor Mao-MacDougal and sighed, "The essay it is I guess."

"And you wanted to take some house points, Andi? Or was it detention?"

Andi raised her eyebrows at Lee, and then looked back at the headmistress. "I'm glad you're staying, Mr. Andrez," she said, with a slight smile. "To celebrate I'll let you choose your punishment. To do detention, or to lose Hufflepuff points? I feel it's unfair to take points off them, since a majority of the students had nothing to do with this, and indeed, have passed up their homework satisfactorily. But, it's up to you."

"Points please Professor, may I leave now?" Lee asked. He felt like he was getting cabin fever being stuck in this office.

"Very well," answered Andi composedly, nodding at him. She got up to leave as well, and made a half bow to the headmistress. "Thank you very much, Cassandra."

"Actually, I'd prefer you stay for a moment, Andi. You're dismissed, Mr. Andrez." She poured herself a cup of tea and waited for Lee to vacate the room. "Are you having any problems or issues that you feel you should discuss with me regarding your personal life?"

Andi paused in her flight, turning around. Her eyes were terrible and her cheeks were red suddenly. Taking a moment to compose herself, Andi said, "Headmistress Rae, rest assured I am not allowing my... personal entanglements to intrude into my class. Not on purpose anyway! I'm not sure how this rumor got out, but it's completely untrue. I am in correspondence with Andrei Vannacutt, but I'm certainly not romantically inclined towards him," well, she wasn't, "nor he to me."

"Alright," Rae responded mildly, turning her spoon clockwise, and then counterclockwise. Branxton said it brewed better that way. "I hadn't heard any rumors, but you've been acting oddly and Lee's accusations seemed to hit with you. I'm sorry that the rumor mill has you as grist, but I trust you're handling it on your own."

"Acting oddly?" Andi gave a little smile. "No worries. This is how I always act." She nodded at Rae, preparing to take her leave again (or flee from those penetrating eyes. Whichever). "It's just, I'm not eager for Vannacutt to find out what's been going on. He's such a -" She caught herself in time. "I can handle it," she said simply and left.

Samea fell through the ceiling and pulled a face at the portrait of Headmistress Luckiduck on her way down. "My darling Head... Shoulders. Knees. Toes. Yes... that's a pretty rock you have. Been necking with the Potions Master again?"
