If you've made it past the gargoyle, all that stands between you and the Headmistress is a solid wood door. On the other side of the door is a high ceilinged room with a desk at the far end. The walls are stacked with innumerable portraits, although they all appear to be sleeping deeply or otherwise engaged. The shelves and tables are lined with strange objects, some that seem almost familiar to you, and even a few you are certain are mutated Dark Magic Detectors. A low row of pictures line a bookshelf otherwise filled with various texts, and each features the same blond woman waving happily with some other person.

Behind the desk sits a woman deep in thought. Her honey-colored hair is braided and coiled around her head like a crown. She is wearing dark blue robes with flowers embroidered along the hems and neckline. Overall, she gives off quite a solemn appearance, until a sound from you catches her attention. When she looks at you, you realize her eyes are full of laughter and a smile plays around her lips. "What can I help you with today?"

ooc: Do NOT, under fear of punishment and of me giggling and pointing at you... do NOT post in this thread unless you have the password legitimately. Also... the Gargoyle thread may be used as a sort of waiting area for the Headmistress.

Lee knocked loudly on the Headmistress' door, he was doing what Professor Mao-MacDougal had instructed, even if Rae shared part of the mean words written upon the parchment. Lee was more than thrilled about getting immediate access to the Headmistress' office and he only had one year to enjoy it.

"You lost her," the portrait on the landing wheezed and cackled. "Nice try, boy, but she's stopped up to talk to a bunch of first years. Why don't you tell old Hobart all about it?"

Rae headed up the stairs and was surprised to find Lee there. "Hello, Mr. Andrez. I'll see you as soon as I'm done speaking to my young Slytherin friend here." She gestured at the girl before they both disappeared into her office. Once the door was closed, Rae took a seat behind her desk. "What can I do for you?"

Alexandra waved meekly at the boy as she walked into Headmistress Rae's office.

"I hear voices, everytime I walk past people." Alexandra said as she looked down. "And I see things."

Rae considered what the girl was saying carefully. "I have an idea of what you might be going through, but I wonder if you would be willing to speak about this issue with some specialists. I know Nurse Numel would like to talk to you, and I know some people at the Ministry. How does that sound?"

"Ask you some questions... maybe perform some tests, but it won't hurt. I'll make sure they're very nice," she grinned and tapped the girl's hand to comfort her. "I'll Floo Ariana, and she'll be expecting your visit in the Infirmary."

"I don't think anything is wrong with you, my dear. It might be that you are under stress from a new environment, or it might be that your magic takes on a slightly different form than your peers. Either way, I'm not someone who can tell you either way. Anything else?"

Alexandra thought as she looked at the Headmistress. "I had a dream that it would rain at a certian time, and it happened."

"Yes, it's considered to be a certain type of Divination. Perhaps you should speak with Professor Craft as well." Rae tapped her lip with a quill. "So... we're clear? You should see Nurse Numel or Professor Craft. I can put you in touch with someone at the Ministry after if they don't have a course of action for you."

"Yes, if they can't help you, please come back and see me again." Rae smiled and reached across to shake the girl's hand. "Please send Mr. Andrez in when you leave. He's a prefect, and I really ought to be sure he doesn't have a major issue I need to deal with."

Alexandra smiled as she shook Headmistress Rae's hand.

"Thank you." She said as she a smiled. "I'll send him up."

Alex walked through the door and saw a redheaded boy. "She's ready to see you now." Alex said as she smiled at him.

BIC: Lee finished telling the portrait what was up and told him goodbye. He opened the Headmistress' door and headed past the portraits of past Headmasters' and Headmistress'. He took a seat and smiled at Rae, "Do you never fear your going to turn into one of those things soon?" Lee asked at the almost lively portraits.

Rae cocked her head to the side and took in the various portraits. "I suppose there are worse ways to spend eternity than advising future Headmasters and Headmistresses in the running of Hogwarts. I'll get to watch out for my children always." She smiled. "So Lee... what's up?"

Lee thought about what she had just said and nodded in agreement, it sounded nice. Snapping bac into reality he smirked whilst handing over the piece of parchment. He found the piece of parchment rather amusing but held it in for sympathy of the Headmistress. "Looks like I am not the only one concerned about the Staff's safety precautions after last term," Lee said winking.

Rae read the parchment before crumpling it and sending it back across the desk at Lee's head. "I should have thought you'd have better things to do than chase rumors, but after your antics last term... I suppose I was wrong. So tell me, Mr. Andrez... what is the reason for your visit?"

"I came here to show you the parchment to make sure you were aware. Professor Mao-MacDougal instructed me to do so," Lee said matter-of-factly. "I also came by to make sure you would be doing your job this term, protecting the school that is. Making sure the students are safe," Lee scowled. He wanted to leave right there and then, but wanted Rae's reaction.

"You can rest assured that I'm always working for the interest of the students. I know you don't agree with everything I've done, Lee, but you don't see all that I see. You see only what goes on right in front of you... and you have a limited life experience. I've lived longer, lost more, and have more to lose than you can understand. Now, that was a polite answer, and a truthful one... here's the less polite part... I don't answer to you, and all your checking up on me will amount to nothing."

Lee scoffed, "You think I'm checking up on you? Hardly. I have better things to do with my time to be frank." Lee raised himself from his seat, "To be fair Cassandra, these scars were not at the fault of myself. No, these scars were the fault of plugged ears, yours and every other member of staff in this school. Good day to you," Lee left not wanting to hear Rae's reaction this time. He had to go to Professor Mao-MacDougal's anyway to get his punishment.

Politely, Professor Mao-Macdougal knocked on the door before entering. She gave the headmistress a short nod of respect and acknowledgement, before standing aside to allow Lee to go in.

"Good day, Mrs. Branxton. Or is it still Professor Rae?"

Lee walked in reluctantly and head down with Professor Mao-MacDougal at his side. He was sure to lose a hell of a lot of points, or be whipped, or stretched, maybe his head chopped off? Who knew! He tried to stay as far away from the Headmistress as possible. He had only been in here 5 minutes before giving rudeness.

Rae had no time to respond to Lee before he stormed off, but it was nearly no time at all before he was back in the wake of Professor Macdougal. "Professor Rae will suffice, Andi... although you know you may call me Cassandra," she smiled feebly and ignored Lee for the time being. "What can I do for you? Have a seat, please."
