Divination:Your Patronus and You Professor Craft stepped into her still bare classroom. The floor was still spongy and comfortable. She carried a stack of worksheets for the younger students. |
Tasha walked into class, with her bag over her shoulder, and saw the professor holding a stack of papers. "Good afternoon, Professor." She greeted as she took her seat. |
Lua entered the classroom slightly studying the professor in her cheery mood before slipping in a seat in the back row. She pulled out her parchement and quill waiting to take notes. |
Lee marched into the classroom, bag on his shoulder. He had been enjoying the past couple of Divination lessons since they were much more lively than the ones that had happened after Professor Riddle had to leave. How he missed her. He took a seat relativley near the front and stared at the mass amount of worksheets the Professor had. Maybe this class wasn't going to be as lively as he had thought when he had came in. He grabbed a quill from his bag and placed it neatly on his desk next to his ink well which he took out straight after. Once he was satisfied he was prepared he looked at Hebe waiting for her to begin - but it seemed more students still needed to arrive. Lee began singing to himself as he patiently waited. |
Stepping into the classroom where Professor Craft was waiting Patrick looked around for a seat. For the first time in his duration at the school he was early for class. He took a seat in the second row. he glanced around at Lua. "Hey, Lua," he said to his Quidditch Captain. and then he delved in his bag for parchment and quills. |
Profesor Craft smiled at the incoming students. "Good Afternoon. Be careful with your chairs. I haven't been able to fully reverse the charm on the floor." She eyed the squishy floor warily. "Please separate yourselves. I want those capable of producing a Patronus on the left." She shuffled the worksheets as the students separated. |
Jamie took a seat in his usual seat, towards the center of the room and took over his Divination book. He was pleased to find the Professor in such a good mood and bounced a little on the spongy floor. Not entirely sure of what exactly a Patronus was, he thought it safe to take a seat on the right side. |
Sean, only a first year, knew he could not produce one. So, he stayed where he was at and then asked, "Should the ones who can't go to the left or stay here?" |

Lee raised himself from his seat and headed to the left. He had managed to form his first patronus in the summer between his fifth and sixth year since his Grandpa took pride in giving him one to one summer classes. It did take Lee a couple of months for his patronus to appear clear enough to tell what it actually was. His patronus was a squirrel - his mother's animagus form. |
Sean heard what Professor Hebecraft had to say and walked to the right of the room. He took a seat by the wall. |
Patrick revacated his seat and moved to the right side of the room. he sey down his quill and parchment again and then realised that he was missing his ink he dug it out of his bag which he then hung on the back of his chair. |
Tasha moved over to the right side of the class. She knew full well that she couldn't produce a patronus seeing as how they were practicing them in DA meetings. |
After hearing the professor’s request, Jordan walked over to the left of the room. She took a seat and waited for what was to come. After the last lesson, she was very excited to be having class again. |
Cassandra was a little embarrassed, she was a first year, but since her father had many enemies, he had made sure she could conjure a patronus once she turned 6 years of age. She moved to the left side of the classroom, hoping no one would notice. |
Professor Craft cleared her throat, her voice raspy from her last lesson. "Students on the right please take a worksheet from the front desk." (Feel free to print this out) She watched the younger students begin to file forword, she directed her attention to the older students. "Its good to see so many of you able to produce a Patronus. Could you please tell me the proper way to produce a Patronus?" |
Tasha stood and walked to the table. She took a worksheet from the stack and bounced across the squishy floor back to her seat on the right side of the room. |
Lee raised his hand, "well its always good to clear your head before you attempt doing a patronus. Once you have cleared your head remove your wand, do the appropriate wand movements and state the incantation 'expecto patronum' to cast your patronus. Your patronus will come out in a shape of some sort of animal and is silvery in colour - the form of your patronus is souly based on your emotions and personality, really." Lee smiled. |
Tasha listened intently to everything everyone was saying about conjouring a patronus while she took notes. |

Lee closed his eyes when the room went dark and took a deep breath through the nose and out the mouth. He waved his wand to the correct movement and clearly pronounced, "Expecto patronum!" A silver light erupted from his wand and the small silver squirrel stood in the middle of the classroom. He moved his wand about the classroom allowing the squirrel to climb up the desks and such. When he was finished with his performance his squirrel appartion disappeared and the room was left dark once again for one of the others to perform. |
Tasha tried. "Expecto Patronum!" she said and she mimmiked the wand movement the other students were doing, and yet she still got the silvery vapor. " What else is there to the charm other than the incantation and wand movement?" she asked as she watched the other patronuses prance around the room with some wicked stealth. Tasha was anxious to learn this one. |
Lua gasped as the lights went out and instead casting her patronous she muttered 'lumos', and shiftily looked around her as if something frightening would appear. Everything was taking a toll on her, ghada, the hallways, and lastly her cat being murdered leaving her in utter distress. |
Cassandra's hand rose "Professor, one must think of something very strong and happy, then with your wand you say 'Expecto Patronum' and a silvery phantom shape, usually that of an animal, will apear. The shape is the embodiment of the positive thoughts of the witch or wizard who casts the charm." |
Alanna stuffed a worksheet in her bag and nervously waved her wand. It was one of those spells she knew how to do, but could nevr pull off. "Expecto Patronum!" she said, and a thick whitish something floated form the tip of her wand. Giving it an angry glare, she watched it evaporate, then tried agin, with the same result. Dare she hope it was a shape? No, she decided. It wasn't a shape at all. |

Tasha looked across the room at Cassandra and mouthed the words,"Happy? Like how happy?" |
Stacey took hold of a worksheet that the professor spoke of and made her way towards the right side of the classroom. She was only in her 4th year and at this point, she was learning far more than ever, but rather enjoying herself with each new lesson. She listened to the professor speak the words, "Expecto Patronum" and decided to try it herself once the professor asked them to do so. She spoke the words of the spell herself and watched a form of the silvery light escape from her wand. She was more nervous than anything at this point and did not know what to expect. |
Cassandra looked at the girl and said "Very happy." She then closed her eyes and she pulled her wand from her sleeve. Her father made her do this every day, just so her skills were up. She thought of her happy memory, and said "Expecto Patronum!" Out of her wand a silver Occamy came out and flew around the room. |
Happy thoughts?Alanna thought. I think I can manage those...she tried thinking of her letter to Hogwarts. "Expecto Patronum!" Yet again, another thick silvery white mist exited her wand's tip. Getting incrisingly frustrated now, she managed to stop herself from trying to attack her weak patronus. |
Lua frighteningly satred at the professor, why would she leave them in darkness?. Crossing her eyebrows in suprise, she extinguished her wand but kept a stronger grip on it. "Sorry professor" she said, and watched everyone else try their patronus waiting for her turn. |
Tasha wrote "Very Happy" on her parchment, then picked up her wand. Thinking back to the vacation she took with just her and her dad, she remembered all the wonderful things he said to her while they sat on the beach with her head in his lap, looking out at the dolphins bobbing through the ocean. At her peak of emotions that were flooding through her, she waved her wand and said, Expecto Patronum!" Out of the tip for just a few brief seconds came a siler, scaily, porpus with a dragon like tail. It darted across the room and deminished into vapor. "Anybody get a good look at that? What was that?" she asked excitedly. |
A happy thought...hmm. Jenna didn't have too many of them. Wait a minute, she thought--and then she had one. She thought of her first kiss, and then said "Expecto Patronum!" A silver liger came from the tip of her wand, stayed for a bit, then disappeared. |
Tasha tried again, and nothing but the silver mist formed. Clearing her mind and breathing deeply, she thought about her happy memory again. "Expecto Patronum!" she said loudly, and yet again, just a little silver vapor. "Professor? Whats the meaning of a patronus? I mean, what does it say about that person?" |
Brianna held up her wand, thought about her first day at Hogwarts, and said, Expecto Patronum! and a silver vapor emitted from her wand. "That wasn't it." she muttered |
Emma bit her lip and squinted her eyes - HARD. Concentrating as much as she could, Emma chanted out the spell - "Expecto Patronum!" and thought about the day that she first went to Diagon Alley. A little whisper of a sound made Emma open her eyes, and once she did, something white was disappearing. I wonder what it will be when I finally get it... she thought hopefully. |
Taylor focused her mind on a happy thought. She let the energy of the happiness flow through her mind, body, and soul. She closed her eyes and relaxed. She finally opened her eyes and raised her wand. She loudly said, "Expecto Patronum!!" A silvery light erupted from the front of the wand and protruded a long silvery string of silver. There was a little problem though, Taylor couldn't make out what the patronus was. The long silver light coiled around her body. Taylor tried to touch it, but before she could, the light faded away and the long silver patronus disappeared. Disappointed, but not suprised, Taylor focused once again. |
Rave grinned, she had been able to produce a patronus for almost a year now. Clearing her head she thought of her memory and said, "Expecto Patronum!" and a silver leopard shot out of the end of her wand and eyed the other occupants of the room. It walked over and sniffed Lua aswell as a couple other students before Rave extinguished it and sat back. |
Jackie thought hard about a happy thought. Even though she was in her fifth year she just couldn't seem to get it. "Expecto Patronum!" she cried. A little puff of silver came out of the end, but didn't resemble any animal that Jackie knew of. |
Tag gripped his wand, not sure of how he was supposed to see to do the movements in the dark. Happy thoughts. . . happy thoughts. . . okay. He concentrated on the day Hawken surprised him with a Komodo dragon. Isabella. "Expecto patronum," he said firmly, flicking the wand he couldn't see. A tiny jet of silver burst out, breaking the darkness and blinding him momentarily. "Shoots. . . expecto patronum!" Again, this time brighter, the image stayed in front of his eyes even after it had gone out. Tag blinked, trying to clear the light from his retinas. He couldn't make out a form yet. He watched the other students for a moment, recognizing some odd animals. He raised his hand, even though he wasn't sure if Professor Craft could see it. "Professor, can Patronuses be mythical creatures, or are they all real animals?" |
Patrick took out his wand and thought back to the days before Hogwarts . . . before anything had happened. "Expecto patronum" he chanted. Nothing. He tried again. "Expecto Patronum". Wispy smoke. One more try he thought. "EXPECTO PATRONUM" he said thinking about what he felt when he was with Katherine. Another wisp of smoke came out but this one formed itself into and ocelot, small but reassuring. It stayed a while so he moved forward to pet it. It felt like everything he and Katherine had every felt as if he and her memories were stored up inside this one small thing. Thinking about all of this had brought tears to his hazel eyes. He brushed them away as the Patronus dissappeared. Then bringing himself back into the class he looked around waiting for the teacher to give further instructions. |
Brianna thought of another happy thought and said, "Expecto Patronum!" only it once again turned out to be a silvery wisp of smoke, she looked around and saw a boy, he looked a bit upset. "Are you allright?" she mouthed to him, thinking that she might get in trouble if she talked out loud |
"Expecto Patronum" Tasha called out again, and again, and again, but still nothing. "I didn't get a good look at that thing the last time; Was that a patronus, or did I mess it up and something else happened?" Tasha looked around at the other students confused about what her wand did. It happened so quickly, she couldn't focus her eyes in the dark fast enough, and the image she saw wasn't that bright or big to begin with. "Professor?" Tasha asked with her hand waving in the air (as if anyone could see her in the dark) "Does a patronus have anything to do with the type of wand you have?" |
Quote:
"Yeah," he muttered back. |
Phoebe took out her wand and first leared her mind. This was perticularly difficult due to the strange things happening. She next tried to think of her happies memorys. Thinking of what the nurse had told her she thought of a few and imagined the clearly. Focusing hard on those thoughts she said loud and clearly "Expecto Patronum" A silvery mist erupted from her wand forming a feeble sort of lion. Competely exhausted she sat down the lion gone, she was smiling. "Finally" She whispered. Her patronus needed work but was it sort of worked. |
Ghada was sitting at the end of the class noticing Lua she wanted to suprise her but when the Proffesor had turned off the lights Ghada gasped and closed her eyes it reminded her by the attack Ghada raised her wand and muttered 'Expecto Patronum' but nothing came out Ghada tried to remember happy memory's but couldn't she just stood there looking at other patronus's that have been casted.Ghada then thought of an idea she thought if she would walk to Lua and suprise her that she was out of the Hospital wing that that will be a happy memory Ghada walked to Lua who was giving Ghada her back and tapped her shoulder 'Remember me?' she whispered in her ear. |
Alicia took a worksheet, she was sitting in the middle of the class. "A spell? In Divnation?" she asked herslef quizzically. "Happy memories, think of happy memories" she said. She thought of a very deep, indepth thought, and shouted "Expecto patronum!". A feeble wisp came out. She sighed heavily. "Better luck next time" she said as she prepared to try again. This time she thought of an even stronger memory with her friends, and shouted very onsiely, and clearly "Expecto Patronum!". This time it was much better, a comfortable silvery shield exploded out of her wand, but after a few seconds or so, it collapsed as it drained the power out of Alicia from the happy thought. "Nerly!" she said happily. |
Professor Craft was begiining to regret her lesson plan, "Why did I think to use Patroni?" She thought as she scanned the darkness of her room. She saw few actual Patroni and lots of mist and vapor. "Students if you can't produce a Patronus by the end of the lesson than I will give you the busy work and teach Animal Symbolism to those who can. Now keep trying!" She hadn't meant to sound angry, Professor Craft removed her wand from her sleeve. "Watch me once more, think a happy though, then brandish your wand like your sending a great army off to battle." Professor Craft's face was serious as her wand cut through the air. "EXPECTO PARTRONUM!" Just as before, a silvery Wolf shot ot of her wand and howled. It remained for a minute and then she released the spell. "Keep trying, once we have our Patroni then we can move on to what they mean." She placed her wand back into her sleeve and observed the students. |
Jordan got to her feet. Yes, she had produced a patronus before, but never in front of this many people. She held out her wand and commanded “Expecto Patronum!” There was a moments pause, and then a giant silvery tiger emerged from the tip of her wand. Jordan stood motionless as to not disrupt the flow of energy going through her body. When she had completed her task, Jordan quietly took her seat and waited for the rest of the class. She was grateful the room was still dark because, just like every time before, the sight of her patronus had brought her to tears. |
Cassandra looked around at the other patroni. Few were as solid as hers. She felt like thanking her father for the one thing he made sure he taught her. As her silvery Occamy was flying about the classroom, Cassandra walked to the pile of worksheets and pulled one. Although she didn't really understand what it was, it seemed like fun. She almost wished she had been on the right side, instead of on the left. |
"Expecto Patronum" Jenni muttered. Nothing happened. "Right, think happiness. Erm..." she thought. "Expecto Patronum" Jenni muttered again. This time a small blurry creature erupted from the end of her wand. "Ok that went well. Lets try again." "Expecto Patronum," she shouted. This time a small well formed frog appeared. She got rid of it quickly. "A frog. A frog," she muttered to herself, "How pathetic is that?" |
Ghada jumped when the proffesor started talking she took out her wand again and did as the proffesor did 'well who wants to have extra work she thought as she was trying to find a happy memory. After a while Ghada found a memory she very deared Ghada raised her wand and said 'Expecto Patronum!' a vapor apeared at the tip of her wand Ghada wasn't pleased with it but it was a start Ghada thought she would try again she thought about the best memory she had 'EXPECTO PATRONUM!' A Vixen shot out of her wand looking at Ghada it started to walk to her but before it could reach to her it dissapeared.'Woah.' |
Vruk tried to focus on happy thoughts as he held his wand up properly. ''Expektor Patronam?''he muttered to himself,he knew he has a really bad pronounciation with spells. |
eliza waved her wand ,thinking of her parents ,when they were alive and well"expecto patronus!" she said, nothing. "Expecto Patronus!"she shouted ,consintrating on the thought,a blurry shape emerged from her wand "EXPECTO PATRONUS!" Eliza shouted,a bear emerged from the tip of her wand and turned around, staring at Eliza. Eliza looked back ,suddenly it disappeared. |
Brianna thought of her family, and how they made her happy, and said, "Expecto Patronum!" Only this time, a wolf emergered from her wand. The sight of the wolf brought tears in her eyes. She wiped them away and took her seat while she waited for the others to finish |
Ariana listenend carefully as the teacher explained how it worked. She had no idea of what memory to use, she didn't have a lot of happy memories, her life had been miserable afterall. She held her wand tightly and sighed, taking a deep, cleansing breath. Finally she thought of one; flying Porfessor Belle's flying horse, she had a blast then, the way she felt so free... "Expecto Patronum!" she cried out, waving her wand exactly ohw the professor showed them. She was only a first year and didn't really expect anything to happen, but she was smarter than most too, and knew she cuold do it. She watched in amazment as a silvery mist came shooting out of her wand, turning into what looked like a dolphin. 'That can't be right' she thought to herself as she watched it dissapear. "Professor, can you patronus be a mammel, like an underwater mammel?" She asked as she stared at the sop her feeble Patronus once was. |
Leon watched as every one else got some sort of patronous, most were just mist but there was a few incredible ones from some of the older students,he watched as Proffesor Craft do it "Expecto Partronaum" but all that happened was a bi of smoke he didnt expect much though he was only a second year |
Prancie stood. She was so glad she had been taught how to produce a patronus last year. She was not glad to produce one though. Happy memories didn't just pop into Prancie's head, seeing as very few happy thing ever happened to her. However, she thought of when her house was sold and closed her eyes. At once, the power that closed off the world when she was concentating filled her. The world was silent. Expecto Patronum She thought, and a silvery dog hopped out of her wand and scapmered arond her. The world came flooding back to Prancie, and she sat down. |
Alanna thought hard. If getting her Hogwarts letter wasn't happy enough, what was? My friends, she decided suddenly. That might work. Concentrating with all her being on Emma, Nel, Brittany, and everyone she had met or knew back home, she swung her wand through the air and said yet again, "Expecto Patronum!" This time, an unrecognizable shape with some sort of long body or tail flew from her wand, and then dissapeared just as quickly. It wasn't strong enough to tell what it was just yet, but she was getting there. |
Quote:
And then it was over. Tess looked up, to see the white ... whatever had disappeared. Noticing a tear in her robe sleeve, Tess approached the redhead girl. "I don't know what the heck that was, but it ripped my sleeve. I take that to mean it wasn't a worm or a butterfly," She said, perfectly cheerful about the rip. Tess didn't care much about the state of her robes. They were just robes. It was her real clothes she cared about. |
Lua gasped as silvery leapord sniffed her, glancing around the room and spotted the achievment smile on her sister. Beaming in amusement she gave her the two thumbs up and watched other students as they practiced to get it done properly when she tried it. Quote:
Flinching slightly, lua turned around slowly to see who poked her back still keeping a strong grasp on her wand, ready to attack. "GHADA" she squeeled and hugged her tightly when she saw that it was none other than her adopted sister. "Your out! I am so happy really!", she pulled away beaming brightly at her. Now that ghada was out, lua's worries went down a notch. "Say come.. lets practice together. Pull out your wand ahead of you" lua said as she placed her own wand ahead of her knowing that she would be able to produce a proper patronus with the good news of ghada's arrival. |
Quote:
Ghada giggled at Lua's reaction 'well hello to you too' she said laughing as she took out her wand again Ghada then looked at Lua and smiled 'your ready?' she asked her. |
Patrick thought back to the first merge he'd experianced with his sister. He summoned his energy again and started saying the charm in his mind over and over Expecto patronum expecto patronum expecto patronum Expecto Patronum Expecto Patronum! EXPECTO PATRONUM EXPECTO PATRONUM! and then "Expecto patronum!". This time the result was immediate the ocelot appearing as he had commanded. It pawed at him but was unable to reach him. He realised the flaw. It can't move he thought. He tried again "EXPECTO PATRONUM" he said in a commanding voice bringing the ocelot back to life. This time it mewed quietly and rubbed his ankles like a common housecat. Only it wasn't. It was more than that. Much more. It was him. Not just him either. It was him and Katherine. As one. He thought to himself Does Katherine know about this?. Then he looked back at the cat. Out of the blue another thought entered his mind. Yes. "What?" he said out loud. She knows about this. This time he thought back thinking that these thoughts could be communicated. She does? Yes. Oh. A silence. Who are you? he thought to the anonymous voice. I am you. Both of you. MY PATRONUS! Both of yours patronus came the cat's reply. So you are mine and Katherine's patronus the thinking became easier with practise and it was much simpler now to send his thoughts. Yes. So you can communicate with both of us? Yes. Can you communicate with her now? Yes. How? I am her said the patronus simply. Oh. So where is she? In her common room. Oh. You should go back to your classroom said the cat advising him that this conversation would be better suited to another time. Oh yes he thought back to the patronus and returned to the physical world. |
Tasha tried again, feeling desperation welling up inside her. "Oh please do it again." she said to her wand. She closed her eyes and thought about the dolphins in the water, her dad's touch on the side of her face, the warm sand caressing her toes, and the gentle sound of her dad's voice, but all the same, she couldn't shake the desperate feeling of producing a patroni. "Expecto Patronum" she said quickly and pointed her wand at the wall so fast that it slipped from her hand and flew across the room. With tears welling up in her eyes at the dissappointment she was feeling for her dad, she boinged across the soft floor, picked up her wand, and walked back to her spot, and decided to sit and work on the worksheet. |
Quote:
After what seemed minutes, lua nudged ghada and said "Lets continue". She flicked her wand and said clearly "Expecto Patronum" and saw a silvery outline of black bear like dog appear from her wand. Smiling brightly as she watched the dog circulate the room once and dissappeared. |
Quote:
Ghada looked at wha Lua was looking at for a while and laughed 'Hey you!' she called to him 'I was just wondering what were you doing; she asked him not feeling slightly shy.Ghada looked at the black bear like dog that apeared out of her wand Ghada looked at it as if she wasn't amazed Ghada raised her wand and clearly said'Expecto Patronum' a Vixen shot out of Ghada's wand which made her smile The Vixen walked to Lua and the started to dissapear 'this is fun huh' she said as she looked around the class 'what a bunch of... Ghada muttered but she couldn't conitue her sentence because she couldn't find the write words. |
Quote:
Lua smiled at the vixen that neared her and said "Nice casting ghada". She shiftily looked between ghada and the students around her and wondered if she was rubbing of on her, she leaned in and whispered "say you need to be nice to classmates, you never know when you need help with homework", she then pulled away giggling. |

Alanna looked nervously at the rip. "I'm really sorry, but I'm sure there's a spell that could fix it. I don't know any. You need my friend Emma for that. I'm Alanna. How have your Patronuses been coming out? I still haven't gotten a full one yet." |
Quote:
Lua blinked in bewilderment as she heard ghada, not able to understand her response nor her behavior. What happened to the girl? The tapestry's spell must have meddled with her brain. "Ghada hunny! We can speak about this after class, say have lunch together will you?" lua replied studying the girl as gazed into her own wand. |
Quote:
Ghada looked up from her wand and stared at Lua giving her a little smile Ghada said "why I would be delighted Lua thank you for suggesting that" and Ghada went back to her wand thinking about what she said "I always have to say something stupid don't I" she thought Ghada then looked up,cleared her throat and said "Expecto Patronum" while the Vixen appeared from Ghada's wand Ghada petted it and smiled weakly at it it then dissappeared. |
Tasha took her eyes off her worksheet and watched the other students cast their patroni. She wanted to talk to her dad so bad. She continued to sit and watch with envy while she waited on the professor to answer questions and continue on with the lesson. Maybe if she learned all the information she could about the spell, she would then be abled to perform it properly. |
Taylor closed her eyes again. She fished through her mind, trying to find the happiest moment of her life. Thoughts swirled through her head and found she had a hard time concentrating on one. Suddenly a thought flashed in front of her. Of course..I've been so stupid.. she thought. She raised her wand once again. Closed her eyes, and allowed the happiness to flow through her soul again. She said with sudden and new found strength, "Expecto Patronum!!" Immediatly, a silver light erupted from the end of the wand. A giant ball of light formed, connected to the wand, and then emerged a thick, long silver body, beginning with a head and ended with a tail. Taylor finally realized what her patronus was. A dragon. She closed her eyes and smirked as the dragon began to slowly coil itself around her body. She folded her arms and allowed the dragon to become a part of her soul. She returned to the thought that allowed her to conjure her patronus. The day she had met Niky. She was her first friend. Taylor smiled more broadly Of course she said again Sometimes the happiest things in life are the friends you have around you..i must thank Niky later... She opened her eyes, and took in her dragon's appearance, it was very big. She had to look up to see it's face. She was happy, she loved her dragon..the very thing she had always dreamed of. She allowed the dragon to fade away, and sat down to regain her strength. Conjuring took a lot of energy. She continued to smile, as she watched the others conjure their patroni. |
Ohhhhhhh. Tag nearly gasped in awe, fascinated by the dragon that had emerged from Taylor's wand. It was enormous, large enough to coil around her small frame. Now that is what I call a real protector. Her guardian renewed his determination to master this spell. "Expecto patronum!" Tag shouted again, after revisting his powerful memory. The silver shot out once more, this time more of it, and collected together into a shape. At first he couldn't tell what it was. His patronus appeared to have numerous appendages.Oh please. . .don't be an octopus. To Tag's surprise, the form crouched up and turned towards him. He immediately grinned. An acromantula--one of his favorite creatures! The giant arachnid's many eyes glittered at Tag, then skittered in the air, snapping its front pedipalps menacingly. Tag held up the spell for as long as he could before allowing it to retreat back into his wand. He sat down on the floor and breathed. That was wicked. |
"Erm..Professor. How is a Patronus determined? I mean how is the shape decided?" Jenni said, thinking back to her pathetic frog. She was watching everyone else and their's were way more spectacular than hers. |
Phoebe mustering her strength thought again of one more happy memory that might work. She wasn't sure if it would classify as a happy memory but it seemed to be right. Standing up strong she focued with all her might on the thought then clearly and loudly she said "EXPECTO PATRONUM" A silver Lion shot out of her wand before fading away. She had done it. |
Pauline gotton up with all the students and had her wand at teh ready. She stood firm. She focused on a memory that made her feel most happy. She was on her horse Scoops and they had just cleared a 8 foot oxford. She point her wand and said the magic words "Expecto PAtronum!" and a stallion burst from her wand and started to gallop arund the room. SHe had conquered her spell and she liked her animal with it. |
Lola stood up with the rest of the students, she smiled at her brother before thinking about last Christmas when she got a new broom and teased her brother with it. she smiled again before saying very firmly, "Expecto Patronum." at that moment a form that looked like a snow leopard came out of her wand and ran around her. Then she stopped to watch her brother. Luke watched his sister, after a snow leopard came out of her wand, Luke stuck his tongue out at her. He then thought about the first time he met Niky, "Expecto Patronum." a form that looked like a cheetah came out of his wand and stood in front of him. |
The lights went out and everything was pitch black. Papers scattered and when the lights returned to normal, the children came to realize they couldn't leave and had been locked inside. Alohamora was to weak a charm. This could only be broken by something much stronger then a simple Alohamora. |
Rave stood suddenly as the lights went out. She looked at the paper strewn around the floor and raised her eyebrow in confusion. She raised her hand, "Um Professor may I use thebathroom?" she got to her feet and pulled on the classroom door... nothing happened. She tried again but the door wouldnt budge. "Professor, We're locked in!" she said with a hint of panic in her voice. |
Tabby watched as the other students made very good attempts at patronuses but was too worried to try himself, incase someone saw as it went wrong. He waited until everyone was busy to try. He raised his wand and in that action, the lights went out. 'How did that happen?' He wondered. 'I didn't even start saying the spell.' When the lights came back on, the classroom was a tip. He looked around shocked, still believing that he had done it unintentionally. "Ooopsie," he muttered to himself. |
Suddely papers scattered everywhere. Jordan jumped out of her seat and ran towards the door. Rave was there trying to get out and the door was locked. "What is going on!" |

Professor Craft brandished her wand like a saber, when the lights came on she walked around in a circle looking for the culprit. She knew that these children couldn't have messed with her lighting, no it had to be someone more powerful. She had an idea of who was fiddling with the lights. "Students please stay calm. This conludes the first part of the two class lesson on Animal Symbolism." She walked to the door and tried to turn the knob. It stuck. She tapped the knob with her wand and tried again. It wouldn't turn. She turned back to face her classroom full of children. Her face turning a slight shade of pink while her hair went from soft brown to midnight blue. Professor Craft's eyes went from dark blue to a steel gray. "There seems to be a slight problem with the door." Her jaw clenched, "I'll fix this in a jiffy." Professor Craft walked quickly to her desk and pulled out her old school bag, she began removing cookies from its depths. "While I write a short letter, please enjoy these cookies and stay Quiet!" Professor Craft immediatly began scratching her quill along some parchment. She folded the small note into the shape of a paper Airplane and sent it out the window. |
Jordan took her seat and grabbed a cookie. If she was going to be stuck in the classroom at least she was going to enjoy some junk food. |
Prancie looked around. She wasn't scared, she was concerned. She walked to the professor, leaned towards her, and whispered "Professor, do you think that this has something to do with all of the mysterious occurrances that have been going on here?" Prancie had been going to Hogwarts for five years, this being her sixth, and she had never seen anything like this. |
Tabby finally realised that it wasn't his fault when people couldn't get out. He looked around at the number of students locked in here with him. There were so many, what if the air ran out? All of these people were taking air that he and Rave would need. His breathing quickened as his eyes darted around again. How to keep his air? He could cover people's mouths, that would give him more air to work with while Rave found a way to escape. |
"Professor if there is anything I can do, please let me know." Rave said looking back to the class. Quote:

He broke down in a heap on the floor, sobbing his heart out while trying to work out how much air was left in the room. He was never any good at maths, especially when he panicked, so he gave up quickly. Instead, he worked on a away of getting out of the dream, he was sure that's what it was. |

Outside The Classroom :: Professor Ganymede was wondering if this was just a ploy for a prank her sister was going to pull on her. She cautiously looked at the doorknob. She wasn't sure if she should touch it. "Toraks teeth. Professor Craft?" She yelled at the door, hoping her sister would hear her. "Professor Craft, This is Professor Craft. Did you try the lock on your side?" She asked wondering if her sister forgot to try the obvious. Professor Ganymede giggled, this was a bit funny. :: |
Jordan sat and watched all the craziness that happened since they were locked in. She hadn't any idea what was going on, but this was her third year at Hogwarts and nothing bad had happened to her yet. "We all just need to relax" she said in her most motherly tone. |

She got to her feet as she heard Ganymede's voice on the other side of the door. She walked over to the door and gave Professor Craft a weak smile, leaning close to the door she said, "Gan.. Professor Craft? This is Rave Stone, we've tried everything, it wont open." |
