Tag saw Professor Rae's warning look, and quickly put the forlorn-looking creature back into his cloak. He wasn't sure if House points were still on the table, since Samea had destroyed the hourglasses, but he didn't want to be the one to find out the wrong way. He pulled out his wand, returning Tails' smile. It seemed they just grinned dumbly at each other alot. Tag figured that was just the way it was when he liked someone. . . he automatically become a speechless idiot.

When Tag heard Professor Rae ask about fear, he immediately thought, girls. But she was referring to animals. He wasn't really afraid of creatures unless they were specifically dangerous, but he knew plenty of people who were. Scenes from the snake incident in the Common Room filled his head, along with the bat-infested Great Hall. Plenty of people had been running around screaming then.
Tag raised his hand. "Manticore," he said quietly. Now there was something to fear.
