Rae checked her classroom carefully to be sure it hadn't been effected in the last few days. It was odd that things were destroyed and messed with all over the school. Surely Voldemortist wouldn't come back to do the exact same as he'd done last term? And his attacks last term had all had a reason. What was the reason behind these? She sighed and sat at her desk, ready to begin class and forget her troubles. | |

Whende blinked. How were older students always smarter? Okay, dumb question. "Protego," she said, rather uncertainly. It worked, but weakly. Apparently well enough to ward of the spell though. With a flick of her wand, she said, "Expelliarmus! Me too. Because right now it just kind of goes on and on and on."

Alicia noticed the spell, but didnt act as quickly, it hit her hard, and she was sent flying in the air. Fortunately, she landed with no pai, and she got up instantly. Then she said "I think we should stop now, we've both hd turns".

Rae clapped her hands and waited for the students to settle down. "I think that's enough practice for now. I'll open the Duelling Arena, and you are welcome to practice basic duelling spells in there. Please observe the posted rules or you will be asked to leave the chamber." She turned to be sure her assignment was posting itself on the board behind her.
"I'd like you to write a couple of inches of parchment for me. One paragraph on the make-up of your wand and your interpretation of what that means about you. There are many core theorists out there. Find one you agree with and write a few sentences. The second paragraph should be about your progress with your casting pose. You may also talk about how you are progressing with your defensive spells. This homework is worth 20 points, and it's due Sept. 1st."
