"Umm," Nicole said, "Isn't one Fenrir Greyback," she said, remembering reading about him once.

Kalaria raised her hand,
"Lucius Malfoy," she said, "and all death eaters," she said feeling quite uncomfortable.

Kris raised her hand and said, "Greyback."

"er...i heard about a peter pettigrew and a lucuis malfoy." eliza remembered.

Kalaria added to her answer as other names popped into her head,
"And Barty Crouch Jr," she said.

Shane slapped his forehead. "Malfoy!" he mumbled to himself, slightly louder than he meant to.

Siriana raised her hand "Antonin Dolohov I think" she said not sure about her answer.

"Draco Malfoy, to be more precise." Shane corrected himself, as he raised his hand.

"And, aren't there Nott, and Rosier, and Mulciber." Nicole said.

"and a nott!"she turned to shane"i wouldn't say draco," she whispered "narcissa malfoy and regulas black!"

Evy raised her hand. "A wizard with bad intentions who uses his power to hurt others."

Prancie raised her hand, "A dark wizard is a wizard who uses their powers to cause harm, and devistation."

Rave raised her hand, "A wizard who uses Dark Magic against other wizards for they're own gain."

Ariana smiled as she got the points for her house. She thought for a minute, then raised her hand and said shyly, "Someone who has no love in them, or can't show love and thereofre only show hatred towards others?"

"Well in Voldemorts time, he and his followers had tried to rid the wizarding world of muggle borns, or wizards and witches who were of half muggle blood and half magical blood. So a dark wizard could be defined as one who is against muggle borns?" she replied, raising her hand and taking notes.

Kally raised her hadn and said. "most dark wizards enjoy causign people pain, and they are usually against a certain group, like muggel born, or half bloods."

eliza waved her hand "their follows,their power,making people fear them." she listed.

" a wizard that doesn't care if he harms people he just wants power." Brittany replied

"Voldemort tried to become immortal, but didn't know that it wasn't good for him." Shane rambled what his mum had indoctrinated him with.

Niky raised her hand once more, she wanted to get Hufflepuff as many points as she could. "How about; The desire for something, but instead of working for it, take shortcuts and hurt people to get where they want to be."

Nicole raised her hand, and said, "A dark wizard is someone who uses their magical abilities for bad things. They take advantage of magic.They hurt others, either physically or mentally, in order for themselves to gain, whether it's power or riches or revenge."

She raised her hand trying to answer the next question "A Dark Wizard is one that uses magic with the intention to harm others"

Kris raised her hand again, "Dark wizards only want power, they are greedy and they care for nothing but power." Atleast thats what her father told her.

"they don't care who they kill or how many people they kill!" eliza said

"On a lighter note..." Shane scratched his chin, trying to figure out how he was going to word this question. "...since all the names I've heard are known Slytherins..." He turned to the Professor and asked, "Have any dark wizards come out of the other houses?"

Evy raised her hand again. "They are morally wrong, they take selfish decisions, they are greedy and ambitious, they think they are superiors to others and - let's state the obvious - they studied the Dark Arts."

Davina wrote down what professor Rae had said on her parchment and continued to listen.

Brianna thought for a second, raised her hand and replied " No, it depends on why the dark spell is used."

"I think it's actually the intention that makes the difference here, the intention of the Dark wizard is to harm the other" Siriana said after raising her hand

Prancie thought, "Not really; they could just not know what they are doing, or their emotions might have run away with them. The spell doesn't dictate the intent."

Evy raised her hand. "No. If you had good intentions when using the spell, you are not necessarily a dark wizard."

"no not everyone who uses a dark spell is a dark wizard it all depends on the reason for the spell" kally said raising her hand.

Niky raised her hand and answered; "Not really, sometimes a person uses Dark Spells for protection from someone else shooting Dark spells. It all depends on the situation, and exactly what spell was used"

Ali raised his hand. "Not exactly, because some might use the spell for good reasons, or they might not even know that the spell is a dark one."

"Not nessearily professor. THere are times when it's nessesary to use a DArk spell to protect yourself. It doesn't mean you have to be a Dark Wizard, but you need to have dark thoughts to fully make the spell work propetly. If you don't have hateful thoughts the spell won't be powerful." Ariana said, thinking this sounded a bit right.

"it all depends on how many times they use the spell!"eliza said

Stacey raised her hand at Professor Rea's question. "Not necessarily. Auror's are taught the dark spells." She placed her hand down, not knowing if she was correct or not.

"No," Nicole said. "First of all, it depends on the spell, and second of all, some people might use them for defense. I believe that a Dark Wizard is someone who repeatedly does dark magic, and does it only for himself. Not for protection or something like that." Nicole was happy with that.

Audrey raised her hand.

"I don't think so, Professor. If someone were to attack you repeatedly using a dark spell, I think that it would be okay to retaliate and use it in self defense. If their intent is to kill you, you should do anything to stop them from killing you--and others. However, I don't think that it's right to use them often, whenever someone performs a simple hex on you...only when it's the only, final option and you have tried everything else."

"Dark Wizards come out of every house. Obviously, they may seem more likely to come out of Slytherin since ambitious, driven students are often sorted into Slytherin. Ambition and will are not negative attributes as long as we remain human in our seeking of things."

Brittany replied "no some one might be defending themselves and need to use it or and Auror might have to use it to catch a dark wizard."

eliza added to her last answer"and why they used the spell!"

"And if a Dark Wizard uses a good spell..." Shane piped up, "...does that make it a dark spell?"

"the avada kedvra,imperious and crucio professor!"

Prancie sighed, "Avada Kedavera..."

Evy raised her hand. "The Unforgivable."

"the crusiatis(sp) curse is one that will make a person go insane" kally said.

"The Unforgivable curses? Sean said.

Nicole raised her hand and said, "Unforgivable Curses!"

Audrey raised her hand and said, "The killing curse?"

"The three unforgivable Curses professor" Brittany replied

Brianna raised her hand and said " the unforgivable curses"

Ariana didn't vother to answer this one, seeing as how there were already many students who had their hands up already. She wrote everything down, and continued to listen to the professor.

Niky raised her hand once more. "Would those be the three Unforgivable curses?"

"As for dark spells being used in defence..." Shane started, "...my father survived an attack by using 'Sectum Sempra' against a Death-Eater, but he was protecting mum and me."

Evy raised her hand. "Protego".

Ariana raised her hand "Um, isn't that the Protego spell?" She asked.

"protego!"

Jewil thought to her self the protego, but sence everyone else had said it allready she just looked around to see if there where any other answers coming.

Prancie raised her hand politely, "Incarcerus!"

Shane listened to everyone answer 'Protego', and wrote it down. "How d'you spell that?" He'd never even heard of it.

Evy shot her hand in the air. "Incarcerous".

Alicia carefully, and quickly wrote down the important notes and figures. Alicia thought of raising her hand,and saying protego but most of the class had already done so. She quickly scribbled down Incarceus under the shield spells.

Sean raised his hand and said, "Incarcerous"

Serena raised her hand. "Incarcerous?"

"incarcerous i think" Siriana said raising her hand

Ariana gave up. everytime she went to answer a question, it was aready answered. She would just sit back and listen from now on. It didn't matter anyway, as long as she actually learned something. She was getting very annoyed.

Jewil wrote down incarcerous. She dident know that one but at least she did now.

Niky raised her hand almost immediatly. "Incarcerous"

Alicia raised her hand, "Incarceus!!" she said, though it was useless, since it had already been answered.

Sean raised his hand and said, "Expelliarmus."

Evy raised her hand. "Expelliarmus".

Jordana raised her hand and said, "Is it Expeliarmus, Professor?"

"Expelliarmious (sp?)" Ariana said, her hand hooting up ionto the air. 'So much for staying quiet 'she though.

"expelerarmious" kally tried.

"Experlliarmus," Stacey said as she raised her hand.

"Expeliarmus," Nicole said, trying to be the first one this time.

Jewil thought it over in her head. It was on the tip of her toung. Somthing like extarmas but that wasent it. She closed her eyes and pried her brain for the answer, but she gave up and lisend to everyone else answer the qustion.

eliza wrote down the answers, circling incarcerous.

"Expelliarmus. Nice work... five more for Ravenclaw. Let's do two more, and then we'll move on." She studied the paper on her desk. "This one is a bit harder. This spell causes boils to break out on the attacker."

Alicia thought carefully, nothing came to her mind, she sighed and continued writing notes.

Evy raised her hand. "Furnunculus".
