james walked in "professur has the lesson started "he said

Kally walked into DADA and sat down before saying, "hello professor its great that class has finally started"

Nicole walked into the room, excited for another class. She saw that she was one of the first there, and sat down. She looked around, seeing if she recognized anyone.

Sean walked into the DADA classroom. He was very excited about class. He walked up to the professor and said, "Hello Professor. Good afternoon." And after that, Sean walked into the middle of the class and had a seat.

Kally saw the girl walk in "hi..im kally hoffman and you are??" she asked.

Siriana entered the DADA classroom merrily, her bag swinging on her right shoulder. She looked at the Professor opening the windows and felt glad breathing some fresh air. She preceeded and took her seat somewhere in the middle. She let her bag on the side and pulled out some parchment and her self ink quill and waited for the lesson to start.

Sean did so. He took out of his bag, his quill and some parchment just like he was instructed to do.

kally smiled at the girl and sat down.

Rave ran in the classroom glad she had made it on time. She slid into a seat at the very front and hoped that, during this class, she could undo some of the damage misbehaved students in her house had down.

Nicole took out her quill, and parchment, just as the teacher had said. She put it on the side of her desk, and watched as more people came into the room.

Niky entered the D.A.D.A. classroom. She quickly scanned the place for Jordana or Taylor, but they weren't there. 'Its still early, they'll come' she said as she took a seat in the middle row. If neither of her Ravenclaw friends came she doubted she'd be able to deal with homework. She set her bag beside her chair, and took out a notebook and a quill. She satback on her seat, and waited for class to start.

Serena hurried into the classroom, her gaze sweeping the classroom for any of her friends. Spotting her sister, she took a seat next to her, removed her supplies, and tossed Rave a quick smile. She had yet to talk to Rave about the incidents occuring at the beginning of term, but now she had to concentrate on the lesson. The point loss for Gryffindor was quite disappointing and she desperately wanted to gain points for her house.

Brittany sat down and took out her quill and parchment and waited for what else they had to do

eliza walked in "hello professor!" she said before sitting down.she took out her quill and parchment.

Brianna looked at the boy and said " Sure ".

ryan walked into the class "hi professor has this class started yet" ryan said as he took a sit

brittany looked around to see did she know anybody and and only two people she saw was nicole and elize so she gave them a quick smile happy to not be the only gryffindor here.

"thanks so whats your name"james said

eliza spotted brittany,she smiled back.she motioned to the chair next to her.

Rae stood and leaned forward against her desk, smiling broadly. "Good day to you, class. I'm Headmistress Cassandra Rae-Branxton, but you may continue to call me Professor Rae when addressing me. Today we're going to discuss a brief overview of the class before we take some time to discuss and practice dueling etiquette and essential dueling spells. After today, you may practice any spell we've learned in the Duelling Arena, an empty classroom down the corridor. Prefects and myself will be vigilant about the rules in that room, so I expect you to attend well to my words. Now, before I begin, are there any questions you have for me regarding the curriculum or the personal information I've shared? Do not ask me to discuss future classes, as I like to keep you on your toes with what we shall be learning."


ooc: From this point, any "entrances" into the class will be considered a late arrival and points will be removed. You may RP as if you've been here the whole time.

Nicole saw Brittany looking in her direction, and she smiled back, as Brittany smiled at her. Yay! Britany was here! She also noticed Siriana and Niky sitting a little further down. She looked up as the teacher began to talk.

Niky listened to Professor Rae attentively. She had quill in hand, ready to take any notes if needed. A smile drew across her face as the Professor mentioned the Dualling Area, she knew Jordana would probably be able to help her with her spells there.

Brittany saw Eliza motion to sit next to her so she went and sat and then directed her attention to the Profeesor when she began to talk

Kris Lupin sat in the back of the room and wished it was her father teaching. Can't have everything you want she told herself firmly.

"ryan ...ryan.."james wisped over to him

and found a seat she sat down.

"what"he wisped back

"hi" james said laughing

Brittany looked at the two boys whispering and couldn't help but think that they were going to get in trouble

Kally raised her hand and said "dark creatures is one..i think"

Kay thought to herself and decided she would attempt an answer. "Spells?" she said tentatively, raising her hand.

"Spellcasting" Sean said hoping it was correct.

james put up his hand "dark" he said

"Unforgivable curses." Alex said as she raised her hand.

Kalaria put her hand up hesitantly, pretty sure her answer would be incorrect,
"Umm one area...counter cursing...to block attacks?" she said almost mumbling.

Shane Prince took out his quill and a piece of parchment, hanging on every word Prof. Rae had to say.

Rave raised her hand, "Offensive spells?"

Nate raised his hand. "I think one category is Dark Creatures," he said.

Niky thought it over, she wasn't sure if she was right but it was worth a try. She raised her hand and waited to be picked on "Could it be, protection agaisnt Dark Magic, Dark Wizards, Dark Items, and Dark Creatures?"

Very quietly, Katie said, "Is one Defensive Spells?"

Katie looked over at Kris, who was sitting next to her. Katie wondered if Kris was going to answer.

Sean raised his hand again and said hopefully, "Jinxes?"

Nicole decided to give it a try. She raised her hand, and said, "Is one...countercurses, or defensive spells?" Nicole said, hoping that it was right, or at least close.

"Or, maybe, spells, jinxes, hexes, and curses," Nicole said softly.

Siriana raised her hand and said "I believe Dark Magic is one of them" she put her hand down and waited to see if she was correct.

Kris raise her hand slowly and said, "Hexes?" She probably got it wrong, but atleast she tried.

"What about potions?" Shane asked as he stuck his hand tentatively in the air.

kally's face lit up she had actually goten it right.

Kay sighed that she had not gotten the right answer but wrote the names of the categories down anyway.

Niky smiled proudly, she didn't think she'd get them al right but at least she had gotten Hufflepuff a few more points. She wrote down the four categories on her notebook and continued to listen attentively to Professor Rae.

Rave grinned, 15 points for slytherin! she thought to herself. As the Professor spoke she glared at the offening Slytherin boy. Only ten for us now she thought with a sigh.

Nicole listened attentively, hoping to hear a Gryffindor, but only 3 slytherins, and a Hufflepuff. Congrtas to Niky, her Hufflepuff friend, but will Gryffindor ever be out of the negatives? She copied down the 4 and looked back up at Proffesor Rae.

kally wrote down the remaing four sections pleased with herself.

Amanda smiled,thinking this was going to be easy.

Sean smiled. This class was going to be awesome. He listened very intentively.

Stacey began to copy down what Professor Rea spoke of as being the correct answers. She smiled in Niky's direction for gaining 5 extra points for the Huffies. Continuing to listen, Stacey kept her quill in one hand with her piece of parchement under the other.

eliza looked at the professor excitedly. this sounded fun!!

Kay frowned and scribbled some more notes down. Did Proffeson Rae mean that they would be attacked? She was sure it was possible, but it made her nervous nonetheless.

Niky nodded at what the teacher said, as she put her quill down to listen.

Kris sunk in her chair, and wrote everything down. Next time shut up! she told herself.

Amanda wondered if this had anything to do with the dark mark in the slytherein common room and sighed,but took notes.

Shane wrote all the answers down, but seethed at the fact that he'd lost Slytherin 5 pts.

ooc: I edited my previous post, but obviously too late. How can I make up the points I've lost?

Siriana wrote down the four categories as was mentioned by Professor Rae. She was glad the Professor wanted to teach them deal with Dark attacks like Aurors do, but it made her nervous too. She waited for the next question paying attention at the Professor and jotting down some notes here and there. Hopefully Ravenclaw would get some points later on.

"Let's do a brief overview of each of those four points. We certainly won't be going into any great depth with any subject area. Now, let's begin with Dark Wizards. Who is the greatest Dark Wizard of the 21st century?"

ooc: *huggle* You learned from the mistake and there are lots of points opportunities. No worries. You'll make it right.

amanda raised he hand"voldemortist,professer."

Prancie raised her hand, "Voldemort?"

Niky raised her hand shyly; "There were quite a few Dark Wizards in that Century, but maybe the darkest of them all would be... Lord Voldemort?" she said, daring to mention his name in a classroom.

eliza's hand waved in the air "voldemort professor!"

Kay didn't know who it was, this being her first year and her coming from a Muggle family (so to speak) so she allowed the others to anwer and prepared to take notes.

Nicole was pretty sure it was Lord Voldemort, but seeing as about 50 people already guessed that, she kept quiet. She looked up towards the proffesor, and prepared to take notes.

"Morgana?" Shane piped up.

Ariana listened as the others answered and shuddered at the name. She began taking notes on everything she heard, not wanting to miss a single thing.

Ariana raised her hand and said "Grindelwald professor?" she thought she had it right, but wans't sure.

Amanda smiled that she had gotten something right and tried to remember someone from the last century."Malfoy,Lucios Malfoy?MAybe professer?

Rave raised he hand again, "Grindelwald"

eliza thought more a moment,she only thought there was one.

Niky raised her hand again. "I'm not sure about his death date, but would Morfin Gaunt be considered?"

Jessica raised her hand. "I remember hearing about Belatrix Black..." she couldn't quite remember if that was the correct name, but it was close enough.

Prancie thought of the Wisard that Albus Dumbledore had defeated, "Grindlewald, Professor?"

Brittany raised her hand and said Grindelwald
