| | |  Charms Class - Lesson Three
Unusually, the Charms class was empty as the first student arrived. There is something pleasant about the air of an empty class, though Professor Mao-Macdougal would put it down to the fact that there are no students in it; and the students might put it down to the fact that there is no Professor there.
However, there is a sweet smell wafting through the class, of baking cookies in addition to the normal rose-scent that the professor sometimes trails.
The table is set with a single broomstick of good quality, an almost unused Firebolt. It was all to easy to imagine Professor Mao-Macdougal sitting side-saddle, silhoutted by the moon as a black shape with flying skirts. In fact, it was all too easy to imagine her shoving a child into the oven to bake. | |

Not speaking, Rosalie shook her head. She hoped Sylver would notice that their Professor was about ready to snap back into her old self, and when she did, there would be a major point loss for Slytherin. Her and Slylver had been the most disruptive over the situation after all.

Stacey watched as the students around her began to use the charm given by the Professor. She reached into her robes and pulled out her wand pointing it in the direction of the top of her desk. "Malleas Dedendum," she managed to speak as a cushion formed from the end of her wand, laying on the desk in front of her.

Lee contained himself and stopped his laughter, even though he secretly wanted to continue. He practised the wand movements for the spell first, making sure he did them right and obviously practised the pronouncation of the spell. There was no point in casting a charm if you weren't going to do it right.
He wave his wand through the correct movements for a last time and said the spell nice a clear to later find a loely orange, puffy cushion situated in front of him. Now he could begin laughing again.

"Very good!" Andi sang at the students, squeaking a little towards the end because there's a limit to how high and saccharine a human voice can go. "Now, let's try the invisibility spell!" With a flourish of her wand, Andi shot it at the cushion, the big smile never wavering. "Ibi idciro!"
There was quiet flash and the spell wove itself into the cushion, weaving like quicksilver, and then disappearing. The spell depended on the caster. Good ones managed to vanish their cushion in a few seconds. Beginners would take longer.

Still giggling madly in silence, Falas tried to concentrate and listened to the professor's instructions. She pointed her wand at her chair and said "Malleas Dedendum" in between giggles. Nothing happened. Still giggling, she thought that maybe she needed to be a little more serious. Taking a few deep breath to calm herself, she then tried the spell again. "Malleas Dedendum" she chanted once again and a cushion apeared in front of her. Pleased with herself, she beamed. | |

Scrunching up his face at the Professors singsong voice Thump concentrated and thrusting his wand at the cushion repeating the words "Ibi Idciro" and watched as the cushion disapeared,starting at the point of impact at the center of it and spreading out to all 4 corners vanishing.

Her eyes were fixed on the spot on her table where her cushion had once laid. It was now invisible, had been for a few minutes while the remainder of her class produced theirs.
She looked as if she were to be sent off to her own hanging after class ended. She fully expected to be yelled at, and get points docked. She had been horribly dissrespectful, and promised herself that she would take it in silence. She deserved it.
Bored, she removed the back chord from the end of her long braid, and combed her fingers though her long hair, which was now wavy, then retied her hair into a low ponytail. She was merely trying to pass time before class ended.

Silvie was still a bit shocked at what had happened... In an attempt to make things more normal, she decided to ignore the sudden changes in Proffesor Mao-MacDougal's temper, and follow her instructions for the lesson.

"Ibi idciro!" only a little drop of silver seemed to appear before Sylver's wand. She tried again... then again. She started to get frustrated with it just as she was with the situation in the classroom. Finally, she gave in to just being calm but not exactly her usual self. "Ibi idciro!", it worked.

Andi beamed at Cassandra. "Of course!" she said, repeating the movement with such a twinkly sort of flourish that it was hard to see. Her old, matter-of-fact, if slightly insulting style was much better. The wand formed a brief circle over the cushion.
