Kally waved her wand and muttered "Ibi Idciro" as a jet of clear liqued hit her cushion and watched it disseaper before her eyes. "nice....once again got it on the first try..." she said smiling.

Leeness 08-11-2006 08:56 PM

Lee smiled, he actually prefered this Professor to the old Professor Mao MacDougal and he wished that she was planning on staying like this. He raised his wand once again and began practising the new movements, he was quite familar with vanishing spells after having done them in his first year Transfiguration lesson.

He clearly said the incantation and waved his wand and the spell hit the cushion. The orange puffy bunch of fabric had disappeared within 5 seconds or so. "Good enough Professor?" Lee asked, determined to get a conversation out of the new chirpy Professor.

whende 08-11-2006 08:57 PM

Whende still couldn't quite fathom how weird this really was. She fumbled a bit with her wand and her eyes were so wide that they were starting to get sore. "Ibi Idciro," said, flicking her wand.

The cushion flickered a bit, but didn't vanish. "Concentrate," she muttered harshly to herself. On the second try, the only thing she achieved was making it a bit fainter. She raised her hand. "Er... professor?" She was about to say more, but thought better of it and lowered her hand.

Edd broke out of his daydream to hear the words Ibi idciro he knew it was the spell being taught but he didnt know its effects. edd was skilled in charms so he tried the spell "Ibi idciro" he muttered his wand pointing at his pencil case it wiggled abit but no joy. he sighed then regathered his concentration. "Ibi idciro" he said abit louder, the pencil pencil case vanished. "erm professor how do we counter thi charm?" he asked eyes wide.

HP_Fan_09 08-11-2006 09:04 PM

Jewil tried again with not much hope. "Ibi Idciro" and it vaniched. She allmost fell off her chair. She did it she was doing it. She smiled to her self then noticed a boy who had vanshed his pecil case and felt kind of sorry for him.

Nodding slightly at the professor's next instructions, Falas immediately got to work. Concentrating really hard, her tongue sticking out slightly from the corner of her mouth, she flicked her wand at her cushion and chanted the incantation "Ibi idciro" Nothing happened. Frowning slightly, she let out a small "Hmmmm..." and pushed up her sleeves, ready to try again. She concentrated even harder this time. "Ibi idciro" she said again. This time, the cushion managed to become slightly invisble, like a foggy image. Smilling, she knew that she could do this. And for the third time, Falas chanted the incantation and the next thing she knew, the cushion disapeared in front of her very eyes.

Amber watched the professor's wand movement closely. She practiced them over and over, saying the incantation in her mind. When she felt she had the movements and the timing down right, she decided it was time to try it.

She said the incantantion with the correct pronunciation, but perhaps not the best timing. Her pillow didn't really vanish, more or less became transparent. She tapped it again, making it go back to its fully visable self. She tried the spell a second time, concentrating very hardly. This time, within about 6 seconds or so the pillow completely vanished. She smiled and awaited the Professor's asessment.

Jackie conjured another cushion and tried to vanish it again. I could do with one of these for my broom, the old one is getting kind of lumpy, she thought to herself.

"Thank you." Cassandra said a little hesitantly. She thought she saw her make a circle, but she wasn't about to ask her to show it again. Cassandra began trying "Ibi Idciro" she said as her wand tried to repeat the flourish of the Professor. The cushion began to dissapear at the edges, but then reappeared a few second after. She looked around and caught a glance at a fellow Slytherin, and repeated her movements... the pillow disappeared! Thank Merlin!

Jewil looked around her looking at everyone. She was starting to miss sleep. Her eyes where getting watery and she couldent help but fill the land of dreams calling out to her.

A flash of the old Professor appeared again, as she flicked the boy a contemptuous look, that disappeared immediately into a large beam. "Silly-billy," she chastised, shaking a finger. "Someone hasn't been listening in class! Five points from Gryffindor!"

And then she skipped off to the next victim. I'm sorry, student.

"Well that's VERY good!" carolled Andi. "You can barely see it at all." She jabbed directly at the cushion, even though it was invisible. "Very good indeed ~ trala!" Andi added for good measure.

Siriana Red 08-11-2006 09:10 PM

Siriana watched how the Professor worked the charm and imitated her movements "Ibi idciro" she uttered but only half of the cushion vanished, the other half reminding her it was still there. She did the movements for a second time and said the incantation. Nothing happened now...She looked around to see how the others were doing and most of them were successful..She then turned to take a look at her cushion and it was gone.

HP_Fan_09 08-11-2006 09:13 PM

jewil looked at the boy who had lost them points. She stared at him with a qusting glance then went back to work. They had worked so hard to get out of the one hundred negs. but still they where losing points left and right. She tried again with more luck. She was starting to get good at this.

Lissy Longbottom 08-11-2006 09:13 PM

Jackie rolled her eyes. 5 more points lost. At this rate they would never even reach 0.

She tried to vanish her second cushion, but not as successfully as the first time. You could still see an outline of it. Instead, she put the first cushion in front of her...after she located where she had put it. Finally finding it, she placed it in front of her and waited for the professor by getting clearing away her second cushion.

LeapFrog 08-11-2006 09:13 PM

Rose was glad to see the Professor in a different state, even if it was magic induced. She felt a lot calmer with the new instructor. She looked at her cushion and said "Ibi Idciro" as she moved her wand above the cushion. Rose thought it was invisible, but she could see a faint checkered pattern on her desk. She repeated "Ibi Idciro" and the pattern disappeared.

Amber leaned backwards in her chair attempting to put as much room between her and the Professor as possible without seeming blatantly obvious. "What happened to her?" she thought. She smiled akwardly. "Th-thanks, Professor." She took a second look at her pillow and tried to think of how to do it better the next time.

GreenDayGirl9293 08-11-2006 09:33 PM

Nicole stared in shcok at the teacher. Her mouth was wide open. This wasn't the Proffesor she had met. She took notes, but was still completely in shock.

edd face grew red and hot. " i just want my pencil case back" he muttered looking at the empty space where his pencil case was. "at least it vanished which is more than i can say some other people" he said looking around.

TRALA?!?!? Cassandra thought. She started feeling sick to her stomach, how could her favorite teacher turn this way. She loved the way she used to shoot looks at the incompetent students, as if she was contemplating putting them through a painful death.

Jen shook her head as Gryffindor lost more points. They'd be lucky if they could finish the term with zero points. With a frustrated sigh, she practiced the wand movement several times, trying to achieve the same movement that the professor had done. When she felt she had practiced enough, she added the incantation as well.

The puffy cushion in front of her took several seconds to disappear, and if she looked at it in just the right way Jen could still see a faint outline. "Is this alright Professor?" she asked cautiously, almost as if she was trying not to spook a large animal.

"Abso-tootingly!" trilled Andi, swirling over for a look. "Oh isn't it precious?!" She skipped off.

Professor Opteryx eventually readjusted his deerstalker hat and dared to look at the state of the class--he had jammed the worn hat as far as it could go over his eyes several minutes before--and was relieved to see that things had settled down...somewhat.

If it wasn't for the fact that Andi sounded half-deranged, Opteryx could have thought that the Charms Professor might have been enjoying the effect she had on the students.

Lissy Longbottom 08-11-2006 09:53 PM

Jackie raised her hand, "Professor, why did wizards want to make the cushions invisible? Why not just put them on brooms the way they are?"

Thump0427 08-11-2006 09:56 PM

"Professor has someone hit you with an incredibly powerfull cheering charm?" ask Thump raising his hand ignoring the lesson completely, and shooting an accusing look at Professor Opteryx.

WhizzyBubbles 08-11-2006 09:58 PM

Alicia stared at the professor in horror, "what the heck" she wondered "Is my Charms professor going psycho??" she whispered to herself. She stopped taking notes and just glared at the professor wide-eyed.
