| | |  Charms Class - Lesson One
Professor Mao-Macdougal was perched on the large teak desk of the Charms classroom. Her long skirts were hitched up, revealing a hint of boot. It had a heel. Further description of it would include the word: sharp. The professor wore her boots like they were weapons of mass destruction. Should she decide to step on anyone, blood would probably spatter the floor through a hole in the foot.
Beside her were two large books: The Unexpurgated Brothers' Grimm and How Not to Blow Yourself Up On The First Day. She was drumming her fingers across the books irritably as she waited for the first student to enter the class. Black hair shadowed her face, and her eyes were quick and bright like the glitter of knives.
OOC: It is possible that I might have to leave while the class is still going, in the event of that, keep chatting at a minimum. | |

"Everyone who was unsuccessful, kindly copy what I just did." Max smiled and nodded his head as if to say 'ok, whatever you tell, i'll do', then turned to Tas who was still stuggling with the ball and saw her doing something weird...

Having learned she was a witch only few months ago like Ariana, Siriana read the basic spells at the end of the book as the Professor suggested. She tried some spells but nothing worked. When Professor demonstrated the spell she raised her wand pointing at her ball; "Diffindio" she said and then without waiting "Alohomora" and the ball cracked. She took the parchment that popped out and made some notes.

Andi stared at the girl. For once, she really, really, really regretted the passing of Wizarding Laws. "Oh no? Vannacutt is nothing to do with you, and the fact that you can only break a simple charm is not of any particular value either." With a flick of her wand, the homework assignment appeared on the board, just in case someone had blown theirs to shreds: Write an essay detailing the use of Wizarding Laws, how it might have affected Charms made after that.
Andi gathered up her books, and the letter and with a terse nod, left the class.

Feeling only partly content of her work in the first class at least she uttered the words and flicked the wand correctly Siriana copied the homework from the board on a piece of parchment, pick up her things and left the classroom waving at Jor and Evan and thinking that this class was really a great experience.
