Nik flipped lazily through the book til he reached the page that was titled "The Frog Prince". He remembered the tale and smirked to himself, recalling the idiot princess.

Nick raises his hand. "With a kiss, I think. I heard many versions of this story."

Tag sank down in his chair, attempting to become invisible. He had a feeling that if Professor Mao-Macdougal had an aversion to public displays of idiocy, he may have blown it already.

Jordana raised her hand and said, "Professor didn't the Princess kiss the frog, and that is what broke the spell." not sure if that was right Jordana waited for her response.

Kalaya couldn't help but glance at Jordana when it was announced they'd lost points, although they quickly earned them back. As she heard the professor's directions she quickly pulled her book closer to her and flipped through the pages until she found the story. She knew the story well enough and wondered where the professor was going with this. As the professor continued she raised her hand. "The princess kisses the frog to break the charm," she answered.

"Incorrect," snapped Andi smugly. "A pity none of you actually bothered to read - or it is because you think fairy tales are just too babyish for the likes of you, hm?" Her eyes sparkled with glee as she continued her lesson, "The Grimm fairytales were not originally intended to be stories for children, they were an attempt by Wilhelm and Jakob Grimm to retain Germanic culture. But when the stories proved popular, the Grimms were forced to take out many of the more violent or sexual connotations in the story, which is why I specifically demanded the lot of you buy the unexpurgated copy. In actuality, the princess broke the charm simply by throwing the creature at the wall, whereupon, it burst. Tag flinched at the descriptions of animal violence. Who in their right mind would throw a poor frog against a wall, he shuddered, thinking of his own frogs at home.

Jordana wrote down what was said and thought to herself, Of course why didn't i think of that. I would have done the same. Annoying little frog.

Kay sat in silence. She had not expected that to be the correct answer. She was sitting intently and taking notes furiously on everything the teacher said.

Andi continued, morbidly happy, "In the Scottish and Gaelic version, the animal was also beheaded. In some stories, she tore it in two - in lavish detail, mind. "Do you think she meant it intentionally though, if she had to say beforehand that she loved the frog prince and then she had only did it in a moment of anger, Professor, but what was anger caused by, you might think"

Nick listened, not saying a word until a question he knew was asked.

Professor Mao-Macdougal is taking a little too much pleasure in her dismemberment stories, Tag though. He shuffled his papers, trying to cover up the muffled squeaks coming from his bag. Tag didn't want Randy the rat to end up turning in to an object lesson.

"You are excused for your supreme ignorance, Ms Roy," said Andi calmly as she twiddled her wand. "I requested you buy the unexpurgated version, and I made sure that the books Flourish and Blotts ordered were correct in their detail. The German version merely had the poor frog tossed against the wall. Did I request you tell me the Gaelic, or Polish version? No, I did not, I was merely adding detail. Five points off Gryffindor for incompetence."

Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, Andi reached behind her desk and pulled out a variety of objects, small china ornaments, a few golden balls and various other breakables.

"Thank you for the explanation proffeser."said Amanda quietly,taking notes.

Kally sat taking as many notes as she could, in such a small amount of class time.

Kay noticed the professor taking things out of her desk, so she looked up from her notes to pay closer attention.

"10 points from Gryffindor already" Brittany thought to herself . "well this might not be my favorite class." and Brittany then continued to liseten to the professor.

Nick raised his hand. "Professor. Thank-you for telling us another version of that story.I never heard that version before."

proffesor was going to bring out.

Nicole looked up, disappointed. Tia kept losing points for Gryffindor. 15 points already!!! But, then she went back to taking notes, so she wouldn't forget anything.

Noticing the strictness of the Professor Thump continued to take notes on what she was saying,neglecting to answer any questions unless he was sure of the answer.

A good question. Andi nodded in acknowledgement at the girl. "Yes, of course there were, but many times, or at least in the accounts that we have, the human was charmed into a different form, an animal or a monster like in Beauty and the Beast, the Seven Ravens and so on and so forth."

Jordana watched the Professor and so far she liked her. She came on a bit strong, but then ignorance and the lack of hearing that some people were showing would cause anyone to be annoyed, and snap at any moment. She waited for the Professor to continue with her lesson

Sophia rose her hand. "What did they hope to accomplish by throwing the frog prince against the wall?" she asked as she wrote down notes on her parchment.

Brittany listened to the professor explain about the humans as she took notes. "That was kind of interesting" Brittany thought to herself.

I'm Spanish, love, I don't know what unexpurgated means, Tia thought to herself, glaring at the Professor. "Whatever," she said under her breath, rolling her eyes at the ceiling and jotting down what the Professor had just said too, the Flourish and Blotts part and all.

"So what made them stop? I mean, what changed their ways?"

"Maa'm,are those stories really madeup or what they did to muggles in the olden times?"asked Amanda

Kally thought about this, Charms put on humans but why?? "professor..why were charms usually put on humans.??" she aksed raisn gher hand.

Nicole was very happy with this teacher. She may be a bit..difficult at times, but she was very smart. She knew a lot of very interesting stuff, and Nicole took lots of notes. She was happy that she had decided to take this class.

"Oh, that was just a detail," said Andi with a shrug. "She was annoyed by the overlyamourous talking frog and flung it. Interestingly, she broke the charm. And what we are going to do today is this basic form of wandless magic. Please come forward and take one item."

Fred walked to the teacher.

Amanda walked up to the proffesers desk and took a golden ball.

Brittany looked as she said come take one item.

Kally stood up and walked to the front of the classroom to recieve her iteam.

Fred took a golden ball."What is this?"he asked the teacher.

Rave walked up and grabbed a golden ball from the desk and walked back to ehr seat.

Kay stepped forward and took a small ornament from the professor. As she walked back to her seat, she wondered what they would be doing with these items.

Nick comes forward and takes an item and sits down.

Brittany got up very slowly not really wanting to walk pass the professor but walk up to her desk all the same.

Walking up to her desk Thump took one of the items and brought them back to his tabel.

"Wizarding laws, for starters," said Andi with a crooked smile. "And for another, what you think of as the wicked witch are in reality you, and you and you. Before laws were made, of course, if someone annoyed you, or got in the way, magic was an easy way out."

"If they weren't true, I wouldn't bother teaching them," snapped Andi. "Even today some people can't control their temper - don't look at me, for pete's sake - but since fines and prison sentences have been imposed, those cases have dropped drastically."

"Because some people can't control their temper, like today's manslaughter cases," answered Andi irritably.

Nicole walked up to the desk and carefully took a small china ornament. She was very nervous about this. She knew something was bound to break. She carefully walked back to her desk, and took out her scarf. She put the ornament in it, so it wouldn't break.

"oh okay thank you professor.." kally said now standing in the front of the room to collect her iteam which was a glass ball with color swirled inside,a marble.

When it was his turn, Tag approached the desk and selected a china glass dog, making sure to avoid eye contact with Professor Mao-Macdougal.

Jordana stood up from her seat and made her way to the Professor's desk. Once there she looked at the items and reached for a golden ball. She picked it up and as she walked back to her seat, she clutched it in her hand, and was carful when she sat down to not drop it.

"Wow,this class is very informitive."said Amanda,getting a second peice of parchment for her notes.

Nick had a few questions to ask! "Professor, how were spells created? Who was the person that started the whole thing with spells and incantations? Can we, ourselves create one, if we felt like it?" Nick asked nerviously.

"So your saying that the only reason we today think its wrong to do such things is because through time we have been taught that it is wrong. That makes sense to me." Tasha said with a smile as she returned to her seat.

Brittany took the object and went and sat down

Tia paused in the middle of taking her item and looked up at the Professor, a smirk almost sliding back in place, but she forced herself to keep a seriosu countenance. It didn't seem Wizarding Laws pleased the Professor much. Quite understandable, of course, Tia thought to herself.

"This class is very informative, Professor," she said, nodding, her face as straight and impassive as possible while inwardly she was rolling all over in laughter. Talk about bad tempers. And sour tempers too, for that matter.

Amanda looked at the girl named Tia and smiled."What are we going to do with these?"she asked the proffeser.

Brittany was very curious on what they were going to do with the objects But Brittany wasn't abou to dare ask her.

Nicole walked in and sat down at a sit, she was a little late, but not too late, it was her last year anyway.. So she sat down at her desk, and starting to listen to the professor talk.. and then Nicole walked up to the desk and got a object from the professor desk, just like the others students.. Nicole was had this class before, and she knew the professor from years before..

Serinity completed the note she had just taken and put her quill down. She timidly went forward to select one of the items from the professor's desk. "I hope I don't do anything to loose points for Hufflepuff" she thought to herself. She selected a golden ball and went back to her seat.

Kay looked down at her notes. She was wondering about her next class and what they would cover there. She wrote down a few more facts that she remembered the Proffessor saying, then gazed out the window at the lake.

Chikie sat there watching the other students in the room then continued to work on some charms

James pushed open the door and walked into the Charms classroom. He lingered by the door for a moment before silently choosing a seat in the back. His eyes wandered around and he noticed that Stacey had gotten up and took an ornament from the professor's desk. So did the others. He slid out of his chair and shuffled up to her desk and carefuly picked up one of her ornaments. He turned around and walked back to his desk.

Alexandra got up to take an object from off the professor's desk. She observed it as she went back to her seat and waited for the Professor to tell them what to do with it.

Kalaya got up and walked to the professor's desk. She hesitated before taking an item, unsure as if which she chose would make a difference. Glancing back at Jordana she saw that she had taken the golden ball; she quickly grabbed one as well and briskly walked through the crowd of students that were reaching for items. Taking her seat next to Jor she smiled at her as she carefully set down her object. She kept a hand on it to make sure it didn't roll, and looked up at the professor, waiting for instructions.

James twisted around in his seat and looked at Alicia.
"Hey, I'm James-" he whispered to her.

She nodded and smiled at James. Then she took her direction to the ornament that lay on her desk.

A rule just popped into his head that they weren't supposed to talk. He looked at Alicia and nodded to her question. He pulled out a sheet of parchment and his quill and scribbled a note to her.
We aren't supposed to talk in class!
He put his stuff away quietly and passed it to her.

Touy walk up to the front of the class and picked up a golden ball. I wonder what we will do with these she thought. It was hard to believe all these students would be rude enough to talk in class. Maybe they were American tranfer student who didn't know any better. Touy knew the professor was law and if you didn't want to loose house points you follow the rule and never talked in class with out being asked, especially this class.

Cassandra, who had sat down by her friend Kally, got up and went to the front of the class to pick up her item. She walked slowly back to her seat examining the object in her hands. She was going to be able to charm the item, this excited her immensely. She had read the story of the Frog Prince in the text, but she had been too late to speak up. As she sat back down looking at the item she picked out, she couldn't help but hope she could practice on actual people.

She sat looking at the professor's boots. The professor's demeanor and attitude had made her smile. She was sure that the charms professor had been a Slytherin and that made her proud. She sighed and waited for further instruction.

Chikie took a break from the assignment and looked at all the people in the class room again Better get back to work

Sean got up and walked over to the professor's desk. Once there, he picked up an item and walked back to his seat, observing it at the same time.

Raychelle timidly walked up to the teachers desk and picked up an item. She had been quiet through this lesson so far, she had decided this was the best plan until she found out what all the teachers were like. She sat back in her seat and waited for more instructions

Matt slowly walked up to the professor's desk and grabed the thing off the desk and looked at everyone else who had taken one. As he examind the item he walk quickly back to his seat.

katie sat down next to alica. she whipsered "hi". katie saw an ornamentand everyone else had one so she went up to the teachers desk and got one katie sat back down quietly.
