The Purple Sleeping Bag Thread

Rae hurried into the Great Hall and eyed the milling students. She hopped up on the dias and held up her hands. "Alright, students... if I could have your attention, please. I'm sure you're aware that something has occured in the Common Rooms. We're currently investigating the disruption and trying to figure out exactly what happened and what we need to do to get you back in there. For now, we'll ask that you sleep here in the Great Hall. Prefects and professors are on duty to make sure that you're safe and following the rules. Any professors who wish to assist in investigating may join me at the staff table."

She clapped her hands and a pile of plush purple sleeping bags appeared.

Exhaused and dripping wet from the rain outside, Liu-Xue walked into the great hall and grabbed one of the last few purple sleeping bags left, dragged it over to an empty spot near the Slytherin table. Taking out his wand, he muttered a spell and steam shot out of the tip, which he used to start drying himself off. Eventually, Liu-Xue opened the sleeping bag and crawled in, quickly drifting off to sleep.

Sebastian walked into the Great Hall, yawning. He'd done a lot of homework around the castle and was realized surprised at the capability his brain now had. Memory charms usually caused one to lose memory, but this charm seemed to have given him some in exchange for some.

He spotted Pauline, in her sleeping bag and sat down next to her, on top of his sleeping bag. "How's your day been?" he asked.

Victoria lifted her head again, after looking away. She blushed as saw him look at side, she figured he must have noticed her admiring his body. Even though he was wearing a singlet, she could still notice.

Her thoughts were inturpted by something that came to mind about what he had said. "I really don't know who would do that to the common rooms. Everyone believes it to be Voldemortis, but I still don't think it possible. I mean it could be him, but why would he come back?" She shook her head, it didn't make any sense.

roxana walked in to the hall and found an empty sleeping bag. she plopped down and layed her head down on the pillow. and waited for someone else to come.

Andrew walked into the great hall and looked for an empty sleeping bag and when he found one he waited for someone he knew, if any1 he knew came.

roxana turned and open her eyes there was aguy in the sleepingbag not toofar away. Hey my name is roxana. and extened her hand out towards him. do you know what happen in the common rooms?

Jacques shrugged. "I do no know much about what happened ze last time Voldemortist attacked ze castle... but if he has done it once, what's to stop him trying again? That being said I doubt it was him. I think it was one of his minions..."

She gazed at him, her mind realing. "It was horrible, shocking really. I believe that was my second year attending Hogwarts." Victoira still didn't see why he would attack them again. "Well, he attacked the first time to get the book, but no one knows where it is now. Why would he come back, I thought it was gone from Hogwarts. And if it was one of his minions, he wouldn't be attacking Hogwarts without Voldemortis telling him. It just doesn't add up. . ."

Victoria knew she shouldn't bother herself with such a thing, it was the professor's problem. But she couldn't help but make it her own to figure it out. She always had a habit of trying to solve things that didn't add up. "I just can't seem to figure it out", she says almost in a whisper.

What made you change? she asked herself hoping to respond with somewhat of an honest answer. After a second or so of silence, she grabbed her pillow and shifted in position so that they were facing each other. Crossing her arms and laying her bottom chin on the pillow she finally said, “Have you ever felt like you’re not fully whole? Like, in a way, there’s something or…someone missing even if everything else seems perfect? And then once you finally find it, you get your chance to feel complete, only to realize later that destiny snatches it away in a blink of an eye?” Tina said instinctively. Did I---just say that? What kind of dark magic has this guy used on me? First feeling sorry, then apologizing, next following to “talk”, and now talking about feelings I couldn’t even explain to my own friends… she thought trying to control herself. As well as trying to control the profound emotions that had been bottled up inside of her for so long. Or maybe, I’m just over exaggerating? Maybe, I’m trying so hard to make him evil when really he might just be trying to help…Either way, it’s working.

In an attempt to change the subject, Tina shrugged and then shook her head in embarrassment. “Diagon Alley…Oh, god, don’t remind me what a fool I had made of myself,” she said blushing lightly. “That’s one day I’d definitely like to go back and change. Then again, you almost certainly would think the same if you had any idea how bad I wanted to strangle you,” she teasingly added with a wink.

“That make-over was a disguise that turned out to be worthless. Then again, I’m sure no one would’ve noticed if we hadn’t made such a scene...” she said now smiling.

“Family connections?” she asked raising an eyebrow with her eyes still fixed on him. “I think that bit is obvious, don’t you think? Simply put, your cousin is one of the best people still left at Hogwarts. Since the early beginning of last year, everyone I know seems to be gradually disappearing without a trace. I would’ve probably went mental if I didn’t find out what had happened to her,” she said justifiably.

Lost in her own thoughts, Tina thought back at everything she and Evan had been through that day. Though there probably had been more arguing than actual talking, things had turned out good. She hadn’t been this honest and open to anyone since Caleb’s demise. In a way, things felt…complete? Blinking, Tina glanced around the hall, trying somehow to disregard her feelings. Shrugging and then looking back at Evan smiling2 she said, “As much as I’m trying to deny it here, you’ve just worked a miracle with me.”

Unable to fall asleep, Kay reached into her bookbag and took out her worn book and wand. Sitting upright on the sleeping bag, she opened the book and with a small flick of her wrist, her wand illuminated the page. The words on the page pulled her in and she ignored all that was happening around her.

Jordana walked in and grabbed a sleeping bag. She couldn't stand the color but got over it rather quickly seeing as she was very tired. She cautiously made her way to a corner that was free of any students. She lay out her sleeping bag and set her bag down next to it. She unzipped the sleeping bag and slid inside. Staring into the bewitched ceiling that resembled the night sky, she slowly drifted off to sleep and began to dream.

Evan listened to her intently. What she was saying ... and more importantly how she was saying it... he couldn't believe how true it ringed to his ears. "Yes. Yes, I have felt that way..." he said morosely. Talking about it made him even more contemplative than his usual self, even sad. He took a time to inspect Tina's expression, thinking all the time that every single one of their discussions turned out somehow differently than they both presumed it would.

Noticing her change of tone, Evan adapted his own. "Strangle me?" he laughed, recalling their feisty encounter in Diagon Alley. "But all I ever did was happen to stand in your way.." Evan mentioned in a light-hearted way. Giving it more thought, though, he assumed she was right. He probably must have felt the same way, though strangling had never been a favourite choice of his. "And then again, that scene made the encounter all the more memorable, didn't it?" he said, finding it much amusing now, and very little amusing then.

Nodding in acknowledgment to what Tina said about his cousin, and finding it very true, he sighed, pondering how much he really was going to miss Roma after she'd finish her study at Hogwarts. He shrugged the idea away, quickly, not wanting to fall deeper into melancholy weavings. Instead, he glanced at Tina and marveled at her next statement. "Well, you know me, I love a miracle when I see one.." he cheekily commented, still playing a smile on his lips. Suddenly becoming serious, Evan looked her in the eyes, and sincerely said: "You know... you're not that bad. Definitely not as bad as you tried to seem." In fact, I might get accustomed to this... he added inwardly, as he awaited her reaction.

Edd broke out of his trance. "oh nothing" nothing you will tell me anyway he thought. he layed down fully down stared up to the enchanted ceiling. "hows olivia?" he asked peacefully.

Jordana could hear rustling of sleeping bags as she lay with her eyes closed. She opened them slightly and felt a little bit of discomfort as the bright sun from outside entered through the windows. She turned onto her back and lay there for a moment. Jordana pushed herself up with her elbows and looked around. There were still a few people there, but not too many.

She got up, and rolled up her sleeping bag. Dumping it with the rest of the sleeping bags she grabbed her book bag and left the hall and disappeared into the Halls.
