The Purple Sleeping Bag Thread

Rae hurried into the Great Hall and eyed the milling students. She hopped up on the dias and held up her hands. "Alright, students... if I could have your attention, please. I'm sure you're aware that something has occured in the Common Rooms. We're currently investigating the disruption and trying to figure out exactly what happened and what we need to do to get you back in there. For now, we'll ask that you sleep here in the Great Hall. Prefects and professors are on duty to make sure that you're safe and following the rules. Any professors who wish to assist in investigating may join me at the staff table."

She clapped her hands and a pile of plush purple sleeping bags appeared.

Alanna's face slowly faded from it's bright red color to it's normal pale color. "I'm sure you'll find someone worth your time eventually," she said seriously. "And I'm sure the only difference between wizard boyfriends and muggle ones is that the wizards can use wands."

Melany walked into the great hall and layed down in a purple sleeping bag and stared at the ceiling.

Emma who had been absolutley dying with mirth and the talk about boyfriends and Yurio, said now, "How dare you! House elves are the best! Their cute little ears and voices and attitude..." She reached over and punched Alanna's shoulder in a friendly kind of way.

"As for me, well... with guys... you know what I'm like, a complete flirting idiot," Emma said without a blush or pause, matter-of-factly. "And I'm seriously considering a fire of some sort, cause there was a smell of smoke coming from the Ravenclaw common room."

If you wanted the truth, Jamie didn't trust being around so many people. He wanted to be curled up with Admiral Michael in the Common Room. But, the cat was perfectly content to be prancing round the room, tail held high and pouncing people's feet as they shuffled round.

Jamie sat in a corner on his own, searching the room of people. Where was Bucky. Or Maddi. Or even Jenzy. It seemed like it'd been forever since he'd last saw his friends. He hoped they weren't out with that Nik. He was such a horrible friend thief.

The boy curled up in his plushy purple sleeping bag. Purple wasn't one of his favorite colors, but he liked it enough. It could have been worse; purple or green. He winced visibly at the seemingly nothing. Yes, this was much better. He snuggled down further in the sleeping bag, pulling it up to his chin and cuddling the Never Ending Chocolate bag to himself, before deciding to write to Ashlie.

Jill walked around the sleeping bags and settled into one. She rolled over to block off the nocise and went to sleep.

Alanna nodded. "Some of the couches were burned in ours and the fire was going crazy. I hope nothing alive was put into the fire...Emma, do you know any spells that make fires go crazy?" Alanna asked Emma because she knew she was in Ravenclaw and supposed to be smarter than her.

Eternal walked over to a purple sleeping bag and sat down on it. Why purple of all colors? she thought. She held Taky close to her and Mero in her lap. Where was Tristan and maybe even Fran? Her only two friends so far here at Hogwarts.

She looked around the hall, searching to find one of them at least. That's when she saw, him. That boy from the Leaky Cauldron. What was his name? She never did quite get his name.

She turned around, blushing like mad. Should she talk to him? YES! She had to, since she didn't over the summer.

She took a deep breath and set Mero down on her Sleeping bag and kept a tight grip on Taky. She put a sweet smile on and walked over to him and poked his sleeping bag. He couldn't be sleeping, right?

"Uhh ... Hi there! My name is Eternal Love Snow and I saw you over the summer in Diagon Alley, what is your name?" She felt really nervous. Her fingers were twitching and she didn't know if he would like her. Would he? NO! Don't think anything negative!

Julia continues wandering around the room, wondering where she should park her sleeping bag. She grins at Elijah and Kay as they come in, and she waves casually. She continues wandering around and spots Nik with his usual group of fangirls. They make me sick, she thinks with a quiet mumble of nonsense.

After a few minutes, a smile widens across Julia's face as she spots Jamie in a corner of the room talking to another girl. Scratching her head, she decides whether or not to go over and talk to him anyway. Well... I can just make a new friend!! She runs across the room towards him, then leaps onto her sleeping bag and slides across the floor towards him. "JJJJAAAAMMMIIIIIEEEEE!!!!" she yells as she comes to a stop next to the boy. She wraps her arms around him and hugs him, beaming. This kid was truly awesome. He helped Julia feel better last term when she was very upset.

Then she grins at Jamie's friend, who Julia hoped wasn't mad at her for interrupting. "Hi there! I'm Julia Agoobwah... I'm a fifth year," she says, grinning widely at the girl and tightening her auburn ponytail. She straightens her Bugs Bunny Cape as she looks from the girl to Jamie. The girl looked really nervous around him.

Jamie looked up when he felt someone approach him and saw an unfamiliar girl. He'd seen her around a bit, but he didn't know who she was or any of that important stuff. He didn't even know her name. She looked really nervous and seemed to have a tight grip on a cat plushie.

"Hi there," he said with a wave. "I'm Ja-" he started as she introduced herself, in an almost creepy stalker way. However, he didn't get much of a thought because he heard his name called out and glanced up to see something... or someone really, sliding across the floor towards him.

Eyes wide, he pulled his legs against him as well as he could, but in an instant, Julia was nearly in his lap, arms around him. He couldn't help but laugh, it was so random. So amusing.

"Hiiii Julia," he said, waving to the girl. He'd met her once last term. Hopefully she'd taken her cootie shot, her arms were wrapped round him awfully tight. "This is Eternal," he said.

Eternal smiled. Maybe this wouldn't be so hard. She already got to her name, now what? Maybe talk? That might be hard. She was so nervous. But at least they were in the same house. Ravvies were the best! In her opinion though. She loosened her hold on Taky. She felt like she was suffocating him.

"Hi Jamie. Are you having a good day?" What to talk about with someone you just met? She started to blush a bit.

Lee entered the hall with Linny at his side. It had certainly had changed its decor since hundreds of purple sleeping bags were scattering the floor of the Great Hall. He noticed that most of the staff where communicating, about the current events no doubt, at the Staff table. Lee just sat beside a rather cosy and empty sleeping bag... waiting for answers.

Francesca's eyes narrowed as Nik kissed Lua's hand. She had absolutely no clue why she felt like she wanted to just start bashing the girl in the head. Fran was not familiar with hormones like her cousin was. She turned her sleeping bag green and laid down on the other side of Nik, facing him and Lua as they were in conversation.

"You two aren't the only ones here you know." She mumbled to herself as she looked around at all of the people in the area. Fran had never felt jealous or overprotective of anyone in her life. That is until now.

"Sorry Fran" Lua replied apologetically, sensing the inconvenience in her tone.
Shuffling herself comfortably to the side, to face both Fran and Nik. As she fixed her robes, Lua spotted the ravenclaw girl circing the great hall, giving her a cold look and traced her steps. There was something fishy about this girl Lua could sense it, moving her attention back to her friends she asked in whispers "Why would someone damage the common rooms so bad to look for a book, Why not the library?".

She noticed Lua, one of the few familiar faces she saw. She tiptoed over the bags and crept towards her. She then plopped onto an unoccupied bag near her.

"Hey, Lua." she greeted.

Elijah glanced down in Kay's direction gave her a quick smile then ran his hand through his hair. "Right... Okay." he said as he looked over the large area. He couldn't decide if a quiet spot would be better... if they wanted to talk and not be interrupted at least. Maybe Kay would rather be around a bunch of people so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable around him. Why did these circumstances have to be made so?

"Follow me," he finally said, and took her hand in his. He wasn't really sure if this was going to be the best idea or not. He led the both of them through the mess of students, and close to the windows. He'd noticed quite a few vacant spots in that area and decided that perhaps... a secluded spot would be nice.

"How's this?" he asked as the two were in the middle of a bunch of purple sleeping bags.

Aurora entered the Great Hall. She was a little terrified. Like so many others she had peeked into the common room. It looked terrible. She had her cat in her arm, hoping she were alowed to bring her in. She was the only friend she had-so far. She crawled into one of the sleping bag starring into the cloudy sky.

Kay glanced around at the students who had already claimed spots on the floor and was careful not to step on anyone as Elijah led them to a spot near the windows. Finally they stopped walking and she looked about at the purple sleeping bags on the floor.

"This is fine," she said as she nervously twisted a strand of hair around her finger. "So, why don't we, um, sit down?" Kay asked and smiled at him.

She sat her bookbag on the ground beside one of the purple sleeping bags and sat down. "Are you going to join me or do I have to look up at you all night?" she said playfully and continued to nervously twist her hair.
