Lee smiled, "I have been here for five years now, this being my fifth. I'll probably leave at the end of this year since I don't want to do NEWT's" Lee explained. The girl got distracted by another pupil and Lee kindly stated, "Listen Tina I must be off, lovely talking to you. Bye!" he waved to her and headed to the main doors. |
This is like looking for a needle in a haystack, Katie thought. Just then, Katie noticed a girl looking at her. Unless someone's already found it. But she couldn't go up to a complete stranger and ask her, "So have you found any clues leading to the Book of Mysteria?" Then again, maybe she could ... she knew that girl! |
Watching Lee take his leave, Tina smiled and waved goodbye. There was nothing else involving him on her mind. However, there was something else that was. Deciding to take the chance and make up for lost times, Tina walked over to Katie. "Hey there. You come out from the castle, eh?" she asked, suprised to see her out there. Katie wasn't the type to come out and walk around for the heck of it...unless...she had the same intentions as Tina. |
Katie grinned as Tina walked over. "France, actually. My family moved there when my dad got a job with the International Dept. of Cooperation. I had to go to school there for awhile. I only just got back a few weeks ago." Katie looked at Tina and felt happy for the first time in ages. "I haven't seen you in - forever. How've you been ... and who was that boy?" Katie watched the boy Tina had been talking to as he made his way toward the castle. |
"Wow...another traveler amongst us. I think that's where Jess ran off to during the summer and completely changed on me," she said as Jess quickly came to mind. Tina thought back to the first day she had come across both Jess and Katie. They all seemed so careless back then. "I've been well...occupied lately," she said shrugging and wanting to get off the topic of her. "How about you? You miss Hogwarts at all?" She asked now grinning. "Ah...him...he's just a fellow classmate. You'll see that alot of people have been coming out of the castle and fastidiously lurking around every corner. I thought that you were..." she said but then shrugging the thought away. |
Katie's eyes widened. "I was! You, too?" It'd been so long since she'd felt close to anyone. Katie felt the rush of friendship fill her as she remembered how she and Tina had been like kindred spirits from the start. Of course she's out here looking for it, too. Where else would she be? |
"Maybe..." Tina said, her grin growing bigger. "Well, actually...I have had a lot on my mind and the lake has been way too busy lately...so yeah..." Tina said, knowing that Katie wasn't buying any of it. It was clear that they both were there for the same reason. Except, she had the answer Katie was looking for. She was looking for something along the same lines...except oh so different. |
"Lake, shmake," said Katie, beaming, then lowering her voice and casting a quick glance around to be certain they were alone. "I know why you're out here ... and it's not to flirt with Quidditch players. You never could resist a mystery any more than I could." |
Whende skipped down the pitch. She hadn't been yet, but it hadn't seem like any other pie members had found anything. So she'd decided to give it a shot. Only a few minutes after she'd arrived though, she noticed some other students there as well. She stopped looking randomly about the pitch and stepped up behind them. Since she wasn't sure if she wanted to be noticed or not, she just stood there quietly. |
Tina giggled, stopped, and swiftly hugged Katie after she finished talking. "Gosh...I forgot how much I missed you," she said, clinging for a second and then moving back. Noticing someone walk up behind them, Tina decided not to worry. It was pretty obvious that everyone was in on the mystery. "Maybe so...but it seems the whole school is. Take this for an example," she whispered low enough so Whende wouldn't hear. Tina casually turned around and sent a warm smile toward Whende. |
Davina walked down to the pit.Her hands deep inside her robe pockets. Her scarf was wrapped loosely around her neck.Where to start looking..she wondered. There seemed to be a group of persons already there. She saw Whende another member of Pie and walked over o her."Hey found anything?" |
Whende shook her head, drawing her sweat shirt farther up around her neck and chewing on the collar. "Not yet, just got here," she said, taking a couple casual steps away. The other students were whispering, a clear sign that she wasn't wanted. With a few more steps, she was out of earshot. |
Katie was listening intently to what Tina had to say, then noticed her friend's attention drift behind them. Turning around, Katie saw a couple of students nearby. "Friends of yours?" she asked Tina. |
Whende checked her watch. She wanted to be able to get something accomplished and still have time to do some homework. If badger was working on the pitch, then she should go work on something else. "Er, Badger? I'm gonna go back up to the castle. See you later," she called as she sprinted back up. |
Tina watched as another girl--one who Lua had also mentioned--stop by behind them as well. "No...not friends. They're just another little groupie who are trying to make some sense out of this nonsense," she said shrugging. "I'm telling you...even if we solve some bit of it..we're still out of the loop on so many things," she ended. "Enough on that, what you up to later on tonight?" she asked, not really waiting for a response. She quickly garbbed her arm, linked it in hers, and made her way toward the Great Hall. |
Davina watched as Whende ran off."I'll just keep looking around then"Davina said hugging herself to keep warm. |
Nova continued to soar as he played his ilittle game of trying to catch the snitch faster each time. He was doing better than he thought as the longest it took him was about six minutes though that was without other players in the way. "Hmm seemes easy but than I gfues Rave made it look easy" He then noticed people below on and around the pitch in what looked like them looking for something. He decided to go down to ask. "You lost something?" he said to the hufflepuff student |
Paul walked out on the pitch, only to be greeted by a bunch of students standing around chatting. He walked over to them quietly and proceeded to pull out his broom. "It works pretty simply you see." He began showing the students his broom, very matter-of-factly. "You sit on this spot here." He pointed to a spot a little forward of the bristles. "You hold this spot here with your hands, preferably two. You might try holding it with one there if yer playing quidditch. If you recall correctly ye can control the pitch and yaw by tilting it. Now, I'd be more than happy to go into more depth on the matter with ye in private if ye'd prefer now. Er else, ye think yer okay to start practicing?" |

Rave walked onto the pitch with Tabby close behind. She summoned her broom from the Slytherin Locker Room and tried to think of what they could do with Eugene while they were flying. |
Whende skipped down her the pitch, the old sparkle back in her eyes. She hadn't seen Davina for quite some time, so figured that the Hufflepuff girl hadn't made any progress. "If I remember correctly..." she muttered to herself, stepping around the grounds. Without uttering another word aloud, she walked over to the rack and grasped one of the brooms. Silently she mounted the broom and kicked off. It had been a while since she had flown, and in fact she'd only been on a broom once before. To get the hang of it again, she flew around the pitch a couple times. Then, once she felt more comfortable with it, she looked more closely, flying much slower so she wouldn't miss anything. "Hmm, it's almost like sitting in the tree, only this time the branch won't break," she laughed, flying toward the goal posts to look out across the pitch. |

"Hi Rave, How you doing" he said |
Whende rubbed her eyes, they were getting sore from staring so intently for so long. She flew toward the other end to look out from a different angle. She didn't seem to be making any progress. "I come back later," she muttered, slowly decsending, she replaced her broom and started back up to the school. |
Novalus decided it was a good idea to go back in the school as he felt that he had enough of flying for now. |
