| | |  The Observation Deck
Nestled high above the rest of Hogwarts is a new portion of the Astronomy Tower that just been recently opened. The door simply states:
The Observation Deck
Open every day and night unless an extra credit session is in progress. See the Bulletin Board for details.
Behind the door is another set of staircases that lead to a large terrace above the school. The scenery overlooks the beautifully manicured grounds of Hogwarts and the mysterious Forbidden Forest. Powerful telescopes line the wall closest to the door, ready for use on extra credit assignments or for a curious peek at the sky above. A comfortable sized tent is set up to your left with a couple of long tables stretching the entire length of the canopy. Several bookshelves containing texts and pleasurable reads are not far away. A few wooden benches and assorted foliage from the Herbology Greenhouses located at selected areas around the deck complete the tour. | |

Niky picked up the bottle, she fiddled with it a bit before answering Kalaya. "Everytime I try I always think of my brother. and I know he wants me to take it and all, but I can't stand to think hes not here. Before I can actually force myself to take the potion i always break down, I never get to it" she said, not taking her eyes off the bottle for a moment

Aleksa's smile faded a little as she listened to Niky. "It's ok Niky. But, see? you do know he wants you to take it and that he wants you to live, strong and healthy. You should do it, for yourself and for your brother." Aleksa said as she gave Niky a hug.

Kalaya's eyes teared up. "I know it's hard Niky," she said softly. "But this is for your health, we don't you to feel terrible. And this will get easier over time," she said softly, unsure of how exactly to comfort her.

"It's supposed to get easier overtime, but everything seems to be getting worse each day that goes by" Niky said still looking at the bottle. She thought about how right after the potion was given to her, her brother passed away, then her father wanted to take her out of Hogwarts, then that one night with him and Kalaya, and then at the three broomsticks. No matter how much time passed everything seemed to be falling apart. She looked up but stared blankly at the wall infront of her instead of her friends. She looked down, as she felt a tear slowly roll down her cheek

Kalaya nodded slowly, she knew how Niky felt. Everytime she thought things were going to get better for Niky, and as a result her as well, something happened. She watched as a lone tear fell from Niky's eye and gave her a hug. "Don't worry Niky, things have to get better sooner or later. And while we wait, we're here for you, we'll just take everything as it comes-one step at a time," she said softly.

Aleksa nodded as Kalaya talked. Kalaya was much better at comforting people than she was and always knew what to say. "Yeah, one step at a time..It will get better soon enough," she said and gave Niky a hug.

"soon enough .." Niky repeated quietly. She stayed quiet as she examined the bottle yet again. I gotta get out of here she thought. She got up and tossed the potion in her bag. She picked up her bag and said; "I forgot I had to talk to the Astronomy teacher about exams, I'll catch up with you later." Said this she headed for the door and disapeared into the teacher's office, where she knew her friends wouldn't follow

Kalaya watched her friend go with a slightly confused expression. She didn't know why Niky was running off this time, she believed her reason, but she didn't know why she chose right then to go. "Bye Niky..." she said quietly. She looked out over the wall for a moment before hugging Aleksa. "I've got to head back to the common room before it gets too late," she said and headed down the steps.
