Ryan walked in anxious to see his old Arithmacy Proffesor again, "Good Morning Proffesor, I was just wondering when classes will be starting and if I can do any extra credit assignments before hand."Ryan asked politely

Amber walked up to her new Arithmancy proffessor. "Excuse me, Proffesor Mallard, I'm Amber Fields, I'm a first year. I just wanted to know what I can do to prepare myself for classes and get ahead on work, for extra credit, and also, when are our classes starting?" Amber asked.

"Good Morning Professor I was Just wondering when will class start? I'm a first year and i'm new to this." said Tonya

"Good evening professor, I am a first year and i was wondering when classes would be starting?"

Astrid walked into into Professor Mallard's room, her long brown hair pulled into a loose ponytail. She smiled slightly nervously at Mallard, "Excuse me, Professor, I was just wondering whether there is anything I can do to help you before classes start?"

Professor Mallard was diligently working on his first lesson when he was interrupted by a young student. "Good morning to you also Ryan." Professor Mallard set his quill down and stared at the boy. He scrutinized Ryan and then spoke, "You know what would really help me? If I could have some peace and quiet while I am working on my lesson." He gestured towards the door and continued to work on his lesson plan.



Professor Mallard set down his quill once more and looked up grinning slightly. "Its nice to meet you Miss Fields. I am glad you wish to do well in my class. I can't give you any extra credit work until I see what your abilities are. Thank you for stopping by, I really need to get back to my work though." He pulled his folding table nearer to his seat.



Professor Mallard left his Pizza box seat and went over to a box of books in order to consult something. "Ah here it is! Oh yes Good morning Miss. Welcome to Hogwarts." Professor Mallard sat down again at his folding table and opened the small book. "You should probably spend the remaining free time you have before classes and start to have fun. I have lots of ideas for homework." Professor Mallard wrote a few notes down on his parchment, he chuckled at what he just said.

Professor Mallard was having so many people want to help him. His office was quite bare and the house elves did all the cleaning.
"Thank you for offering me some help but I am fine. Maybe after classes start I'll create some extra credit assignments." Professor Mallard made a brushing motion with his hand, "Run along now and enjoy your free afternoons." He began checking over a few points on his lesson plan.

"Yes, Bye Proffesor" Ryan said as he left the room closing the office door as he did so.

Professor Mallard set his finished lesson plan on th corner of his table. He rubbed his face trying to revive his tired dark brown eyes. He thought about just staying in his office but he knew better than to isolate himself in a new situation. Professor Mallard left his seat and headed out the door. Just as he was closing his door he said an enchantment that would ensure no one would be able to enter.

Amber smiled apologetically. "Ok Professor, goodbye!" she said, and left.

Violet walked up to the door of the Professor's office. She heard him saying an enchantment that she realized could lock doors, or prevent people from entering. She left sadly, because she was hoping to earn points for her house, by helping out the professor or doing extra work. "Oh, well.", she sighed.

*Mickey tries the door and finds it wizard locked.*

"Well, no simple aloha mera will open that. All Ah wanted was to borrow a book."

*Mickey rubs his chin and thinks.*

"Ah, that'll fetch it."

*He points his wand vaguely at something behind the door.*

"Accio book."

*A tattered paper back pops through the letter slot. He reads the title.*

" Daddy Was a Numbers Runner by Miller, Frances A. That'll keep me busy a while."

*He leaves.*


OOC: Professor Mallard responded in the hallways.

Professor Mallard returned to his office. He quickly hid something in his pizza box chair and sat down on top of it. He chewed on the tip of his quill and enjoyed the silent office. His eyes wondered to a box of books in the corner. "Hmmmfpph." He said as he lifted the heavy box to his table. He leafed through and found a book covered in brown paper with no title. Professor Mallard tapped the book with his wand and a title appeared, Watching Paint Dry, By Tedious Tu Reed. "That should throw them off." He mumbled and returned the box the the floor.

"excuse me professor but where are we to look for the information for our homework?"

Professor Mallard sat at his table, he motioned for her to come closer. Once she was close enough he tapped her on the head with a pencil. "Its all in there. Just free write on the subject." He produced a jar full of Fizzing Whizbees. "Would you like some candy?" He took one himself and threw it into his mouth. Professor Mallard was now hovering a few inches above his pizza box chair.

"Uhhhh no thank you professor. Thank you for your time." mandi quickly left the professors office

Sophia knocked and entered Prof. Mallards office. She looked around the room a little in shock of how the Prof. lived. She quickly turned her attention to the teacher to ask her question so she could leave the teacher be. "Proffessor. When is your next class going to start?" she asked as she looked to the prof; she tried to avoid looking at the pizza boxes the prof was using as a chair.

Professor Mallard sighed and put his quill down. He was feeling quite shocked at the way some students thought they had the run of the school. "Class will begin when it is time. Now if you don't mind I have something I need to work on...in Private." Professor Mallard waited for the young Hullfepuff to exit his office. Not wanting to look suspicious he left the door open. He reached into his pizza box chair and pulled out the book entitled Watching Paint Dry, its cover was bland and boring. Professor Mallard though looked as if he was reading an exciting adventure story by the look of his eyes. He fervently studied each page and tried to commit it all to memory. He wanted some aspects of his life to remain a mystery, so he planned to discard of The Book as soon as he memorized its contents.

"oh, thank you professor." Sophia smiled and nodded. She noticed he seemed a little arrgivated at her being so forward. "Sorry to disturb you." She quickly turned and left.

ooc: sorry for walking in. I'm new to this. Didn't know if I was suppose to knock and enter or wait.

Professor Mallards head throbbed from the studying of the Book. Though only a quarter way through he closed the Book and hid it once more in his chair. I should probably go for a walk to clear my mind. He thought. He stood and put his arms above his head for a stretch. "AAaaaaah," his back cracked and he walked out into the halls. Professor Mallard forgot to lock his office door and actually left the door open.

A small brown owl flutters up to the office and drops a tiny envelope on the desk.

*Mickey sees the owl enter the office.*

"Verrrrrry interesting."

Ginny knocked on the door upon which she read Professor Mallard Arithmancy. She waited for a voice to say come in, but she never heard one. "Hello?" said Genivra as she peered thru the door. When she realized that there was nobody in the office she decided to leave a message on a scrap of parchment that she found on the floor. She wrote "My name is Genivra Hooks but you can call me Ginny. I am sorry I missed the first class, my parents are muggles and they were not gonna let me come to school but I begged them until they let to come to Hogwarts. I met a student that let me read her notes from the first lesson and I would like to attend your classes. I was wondering when the next class is going to be held." Ginny stood there for a minute trying to think of anymore questions she had. Deciding that she had asked all she had come to she stuck the note she had just written to the door of Prof. Mallard's office and she decided she would return to see if there was an answer in the morning.
