Rose thought for a moment and rasied her hand. "Um...Billywig parts? A billywig's sting can cause giddiness...I think. Scurvy-grass, maybe?"

She copied down the other two ingredients that had been said already and listended to what her other classmates said.

"Yes, water could be considered an ingredient in this potion," Professor Branxton smiled then, clapped his hands at a Hufflepuff's answer. "Excellent. Dried billiwig stings are indeed ingredients in this potion. It's the one I was hoping you'd guess after your classmate suggested something that causes giddiness.

"Now, to keep this class from dragging on too long, I will give you the names of the remaining ingredients and you can tell me why you think they are included in this potion: erumpant tongue and alihotsy leaves."

Serilda cocked an eyebrow at the professor as Professor Braxton reviled the last two ingredients. "Ech," she muttered softly to herself, jotting down all of the ingredients into her book. "This should be interesting."

Smiling, Rose raised her hand again, "Alihotsy leaves can cause hysteria if they're eaten."

Crystal raised her hand again. "I thought that perhaps Erumpent tounge could be used because Erumpent parts are used in potions to cause explosive effects.most notably the horn..but... perhaps the Erumpent in the potion would cause the person to burst out in non-sensical babble?"
Crystal wasn't very sure of her answer, but it made a small bit of sense to her. She hoped she was right.

Sephora wrote down all the ingrfients and then looked in her book, to find out why the other ingredients were in there.

Erin wrote down all the ingredients the professor listed. She didn't know most of them, so she started looking them up in her book. Erin enjoyed brewing potions, but realized that she didn't know much about the ingredients themselves, or why things were done the way they were. For now, she just sat back taking notes.

Celestina quickly jotted down as many notes as she could. She would have answered but her classmates seemed to be more focused on the lesson than she was at the moment. Her tortoise, Rosemary, was still missing. She was hoping the stupid old thing hadn't decided to wonder near the kitchens and gotten herself turned into turtle soup by the house elves.

Jacqui raised her hand a few times, but then lowered it because someone else had said the answer. Finally, as Crystal said the answer she was about to say, Jacqui frowned. This was getting annoying. Mabie there was somthing else to add...

"Erumpets are huge African magical beasts that resemble rhinos. Its horn, which can pierce almost anything, contains a fluid that explodes, destroying what it has hit. Because male Erumpents frequently blow each other up during mating season, the species is somewhat endangered. So, the erumpet blows up into bits, just like you might blow up into energy if you take the babbling beverage." She said, thinking hard.

Katie wasn't at all surprised at the ingredients. She had made this very potion herself and used it on her brother when she was 12. He was 15 at the time and it was incredibly funny to watch him babble the most random secrets in front of everyone that passed him by. Oh he got so mad at her for that, but those potion making skills would definetly come in handy today.

Soli started to write down the ingredients.

Mandi sat there patiently waiting for the professor to fill them in on why erumpant tongue and alihotsy leaves would be included in this particular potion. "This is most interesting", she thought to herself.

candace sat taking notes adn listening hopping not to miss anything important.

"Yes, alihosty leaves cause hysteria. While a little hysteria is good for getting rid of your inhibitions, we aren't looking for full-blown hysteria with this potion so we will only be using the water in which we've stewed the leaves," Professor Branxton explained after the Hufflepuff girl gave a good explaination of what the leaves did.

"And you are absolutely correct about the erumpant tongue, Crystal. I could not have explained it better," he smiled. "Now, if you will give me a few moments to write up the instructions on the board, we will begin brewing our potion momentarily. While you are waiting for me, you may take out your cauldron and collect the ingredients."

Transt put his cauldron up in place with a sigh. He hated potions lessons. Well he hated every lesson. He waited for the professor to write the instuction on the blackboard, though he as sure that he wouldn't do any work.

g_g put her cauldron on her table. "This will be another potion that I'll maybe get right...maybe..." she thought.

Glad that the professor liked her explanation, Rose set her cauldron and other supplies on her desk and collected the ingredients from the cabnet, and she waited paitently for Professor Braxton to put the ingredients up on the board.

Mandi put her cauldron in place and started to collect the ingredients. " I knew this was going to be interesting" she thought, waiting for the instructions for the potion.

Professor Branxton finished writing the instructions up on the board, then turned to the class. He really needed to keep his attention on his class instead of thinking about Cassandra and their recent engagement. He should have had these notes posted before they arrived. He took off his glasses and began to clean them as he addressed the class, "You may begin. Please be sure to follow the instructions carefully, especially the part about making sure you've taken out all of the alihosty leaves. This potion is meant to be drunk so, you don't want to go poisoning anyone."

srimathi took her cauldron and the ingrediants.she poured water in her cauldron and the alihosty leaves and began heating the water simmering it slightly.while she waited for 20 minutes she got the other ingrediants ready and looked around to find any of her friends

Luna nodded and make a quick copy of the ingredients and method before starting.
After filling her couldron with 500ml of water Luna picked up the aihosty leaves that she had collected and placed them in the couldron with the already heating water. She had another look through the instructions, checking she had enough ingredients. She waited a few more minuites then took out all the leaves and placed them at the side.
Luna ,after returning then added the dried billywig and eurmpant stings and let the potion boil for another 10 minuites as she stirred the potion counterclockwise. After letting the potion cool she added the armadillo bile then stirred the potion again, this time 5 times counterclockwise.
She smiled as the potion turned to the light brown colour described in the instructions. She poured it into vials and looked around to see if anyone else had finished

Rose copied down all the ingredients and went to gather all the items. She filled her cauldron with the 500 mL of water. She measured out the 5g of Alihosty leaves and let it simmer. She noted that this was for 20 minutes. She pulled out a book and began to read it, waiting for the next step.
